Day 3 guys are half the price and on the roster for 4 years. Going the merc route is fine but you are in the same place the following year. This year Buffalo should be players with UFA’s aswell. Less packed 53 so more chances for guys to make the roster.

With the Vikings positioning to move up Charger could be in a position to get Marvin Harrison. No way NE doesnt draft a Qb. Arizona has holes everywhere and could benefit greatly from moving back.

100%. I dont see them going to too small. Do they go slot/ box or more deep saftey style. Time will tell. -

Curious what figure they have him at. Obviously, the number isnt what he wants. Rather go younger and bit less expensive than playing the waiting game. -
Center/Guard is a need. Lost 2 guys that dressed. I think you can get a guy with some juice at RB that would push Johnson. Im not overly impressed with the depth anywhere. Drafting a TE or linebacker and having to cut Morris or Spector helps improve the roster. Later in the draft you go wider odds of hitting. If you need 5 guys you best use 9 -11 picks and find those 5.

Bills Host DT Sebastian Joseph-Day on Visit

Seems like a visit for a guy to circle back to after the draft and Comp pick calculations. -
We are set at WR. Maybe we’ll grab one in Round 6.

6th is late but I could see them picking one outside of the top 60. With Samuel would Baker or Rice fill the need of a “X”. Its possible they go that route. D line and interior O line with the first 2 picks. -
Likely Mid Round Draft Guys You Just Feel Will be Good

I like Hardy. I think he was vastly under utilized at PSU. Can be a primary backup at multiple positions. Javon Baker is getting buzz but I think he will still be available into the 4th rd. I could see Buffalo going Dline and Oline with the first 2 picks and get Baker, Rice or Thrash at this pick. Im intrigued by the crop of safeties. Logan Jr, Hicks, Oledipo, Mastafa. I think Buffalo will pick one in the day 3 maybe multiple. -
The Bills will be better in 2024 and everyone overreacted

Put more RPMs into the offense. I think McDermott can Mcgyver a young defense into a top 15 unit. The demise and window closing is over stated. Buffalo was getting old and slow. They saved a bunch of money and will be injecting youth and athleticism into the secondary. -
The signing of Samuel makes the top of the draft wide open. An argument could be had that they might be better getting top interior Dlineman or top five edge at 28. The difference between the 5th and 12 wr is not that wide. Im curious how Beane plays it and what guys he values.

I wouldnt go up more than a few spots. Roster is too thin to trade up too high. Need probably 9 of the 11 picks minimum.
-
He trends throughout the offseason to help/enhance his endorsements. They shipped out Watkins and Dareus in 1.3 seconds. If McBeane felt Diggs was not committed he wouldn't be here.
-
Metcalf had a megatron type RAS. He is not the same. For every Thomas, Rice and Boldin there are 100 Brandon Lafell, USC Mike Williams, Treadwell, Blackmon busts. Besides Rice, who came out in the 80’s, that is why the other guys went rd 2.
-
If they dont trade them use one of those day 3 picks. After the draft sign a vet for peanuts and a few UFAs. Rbs that can run the ball grow on trees.
-
When you bake in positional value I think Wr will be the pick followed by Edge then Interior dline. I would go Oline before safety in rd 1. No one is worthy it at saftey until end of day 2. Comes down to whether one of the Bills top rated edge defender is available. If they are I think that is the pick. I expect they will be gone and the best player will be wr. If a run starts at WR maybe they go Murphy if available or possibly Jackson Powers as center/guard.

That is 1000% the biggest need in January for 4 years on offense.

I think he went from UFA to late day 3 with the combine. -
He lined up 50% in slot 45% outside and the rest in the backfield. Why does that make him slot only? What is the infatuation with “X” wr. Outside only? The best Wrs line up everywhere. The X who cant play anywhere else because they dont have the short area quickness died in the 90’s. I expect they draft a guy either rd 1 or 2. They will have the ability to win deep or intermediate. Contested catch, open when not open throw in the trash and leave it there.

I dont think this changes the desire to add a wr. The team lost 3 contributors off the team brought in 2. The desire to add 2 has left but another guy with speed will be brought in. I could see a D line at 28 if they like an edge. With the addition of Samuel I could get behind Leggette or best remaing wr at 60. I think with what Buffalo has for needs the pick selections matches up. Day 3 you can find secondary depth and mid rounds you can find interior help. -
He has plenty ability to get down field. He can do a little bit of everything. He helps the offense become more unpredictable. Based off sub packages and personal the offense was easy to pick up tendencies. Mckenzie and Harty watch for motion ect. Samuel can do all that stuff plus function as a tradition slot or line up outside. I would compare it to the Beasley signing. A solid vet Wr in their prime. Beasley had some of his best years here and I can see the same thing for him. This is not a nothing signing but compared to Mooney and Davis I think its a win when you look at what he does and how much was paid.

If they dont trade them use one the 5th rounders on one.

Sione Vaki S Utah 5-11 210 Cool story where he played running back too last year because they had a rash of injuries. He got 42 carries and 11 catches put up 500 yards and 5 tds. Natural athlete and worth a look day 3. At worst a core special teamer but might develop into something. Seems like 100% process team guy. -
The game has evolved past x, z and slot. Samuel has the juice and skill set to play outside. The advance metrics points to him being very effective in that role. Diggs, Shakir and Samuel can line up anywhere. So can Kincaid and Cook. In term of production I would point to his qbs. Carolina and Washington have had bad qbs. I expect Samuel in a steady role has a career year. He can do it all plus adds some of the gimmick plays and Debo Samuel stuff. If they take a Wr in the Top 60 picks Buffalo will have the best Wr room Allen has played with.
