What if the person assigned to grade your SAT happens to have an inherent bias against you? Like maybe their pre-dra...err pre-SAT predictions had you tabbed to be the worst...student...of all time and they don't want to admit they were wrong? You don't think there would at least be some level of subconscious bias to grade you a bit more harshly on each question?

T-shirt commemorating Diggs' first TD as a Bill
1ManRaid replied to WhoTom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could see this actually being popular as a so bad it's good ironic thing. -
Tangle guy also caught the back of his head on the corner of the cart.

At this point I'm just more mad at people who continue to belive PFF is credible as a source of "data", rather than the claims being made. It's like watching someone refuse to leave their horribly abusive partner.

Anybody surprised at the lack of running thus far?

If it ain't broke... -
Obligatory "I am not a data analyst but did take a semester of statistics in university", and the literal first thing they taught us is how data can be skewed to push narratives and deceive people. Oh and Wilson did get high grades from them, just not as high as Mediocre Brady and One Half Jimmy.

Anthony Lynn: Backs Tyrod as Starter
1ManRaid replied to BullBuchanan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod will start one more half before Lynn's hand is forced again. -
They were somehow able to rebrand their subjective bias as objective data and gain credibility as the "hardcore data" guys. They pander "data based" narratives to big markets and trending popular teams. Well until they lost what credibility they had left when they exposed themselves with this Darnold>Allen fiasco.

If you look at the track record of MVPs going to whoever happens to be the QB of the team with the best record (*cough*Newton and his sub-60% completion and under 4000 yards passing*cough*), it's easy to see why he would go with Trent if he thought the Bills would continue winning. The non QB MVPs are RBs who break important records. No one wants to rock the voting boat amongst their peers, creating a vicious cycle. But yeah, after NYJ and Miami, and before LAR and KC is the exact definition of "too early".
-
I saw them respond to demands that they justify having Darnold ranked ahead of Allen. His response? I crap you not, was (after some nervous stuttering clearly trying to come up with plausible BS) "cuz reasons". No actual data, literally just vague assertions that there WERE reasons.
-
You're right, it's worse than useless. It's downright deceptive and the incarnation of "there's lies, damn lies, and statistics". It blows my mind that people still defend them as being hardcore data when they are actually the opposite. Their whole system is literally based on arbitrary and cherrypicked SUBJECTIVITY applied to ACTUAL data. In their system, Allen having faith in his receivers to make contested catches, sideline snags, and dives to catch balls placed around tight coverage for a TD is actually a bad thing! He could go down as the worst rated MVP in history because their contextual rating system either doesn't account for everything, or incorrectly categorizes some things as negative.

To answer the title, no. Let our young RBs develop while "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies. -
Buffalo Is In Control of AFC East
1ManRaid replied to thronethinker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Update: He now has a SECOND non Pats/Brady post! It was to fear monger by saying Mahomes is going to dominate the AFC (like his hero Brady) "for the next few decades" because apparently he plans to play into his 50s...seems to have a thing for aging QBs? Garbage time, and down multiple starting LBs. -
I don't know the stats of some of those QBs off the top of my head, but behind SAM DARNOLD? With his amazing under 200 yards, 1 TD, under 6 yards per attempt performance? I about choked reading that.

Makes everyone else better? Dude just ran a lot. Under 60% completion, under 4k pass yards, double digit INTs. MVP usually just goes to the QB of the team with the best record (unless some RB breaks an important record), and the Panthers were a hair away from being the #1 defense in the league. 2+2=...

Yeah, about the MVP thing, you might want to look up what the headlines were back then (him being MVP was pretty unpopular). He was merely a good QB who ran a lot on a team whose defense carried him to the league's best record (MVP always seems to just go to the best record team's QB). Under 60% completion, under 4000 yards passing, and double digit INTs doesn't sound like MVP to me. That season was also a statistical anomaly he dropped from since. He was a one trick pony who was lucky enough to be handed a good enough record to win MVP by default. And double standard? Do you see me awarding Josh the MVP title already? I'm cautiously optimistic until he dominates better competition as the current race is packed with a lot of QBs putting up numbers. -
That doesn't answer my question?

Need to trade for a pass rusher
1ManRaid replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just came off a suspension (the point never expires) he gave me for calling a guy a moron in response to them calling me dense. He cited my history of warnings showing I "clearly don't care about the rules" when my last warning was over a year ago. I'm the one who doesn't care about the rules when he gets to go around calling people fools under the shield of being a mod. I can only assume he's having a bad week and is lashing out. -
What was the result of that play? Yeah, easy to rack up garbage time yards (so doom and gloomers on this forum can jump on handing him the MVP crown early) when the opponent has no pass rush and are on their 3rd string free safety and backup nickel corner.

1ManRaid replied to thronethinker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seattle was down their starting free safety (ejection), and then lost their nickel corner to injury when he moved to free safety to fill in after the ejection. I'm going to hold off on handing the MVP crown until he is beating teams who aren't on 2nd and 3rd string DBs, and isn't having to carry the team running on his surgically repaired legs. Oh, and GARBAGE TIME yards to go with his 1 pass TD and INT. *edit* Oh, and he didn't put up 30 points, you're kind of forgetting that pick six the Pats D lucked into at the start of the game. -
For some reason I laughed too hard at that at 3am and kind of hurt myself.
