  1. Here's the thing. I don't think this is actually an accent issue. For the mispronunciation to be this prevalent, I believe this is actually a football culture issue. And that, my friend, is what actually makes it annoying. I would never criticize someone for a genuine accent.
  2. That would be fine. ? I actually just realized that it's even worse... Some say Kitch.
  3. That's one point. The other point is that people for some reason feel compelled to call Baker Mayfield "Baker". Everyone else gets called by their last names, and Mayfield is a nice, unique last name that leads to no ambiguity when used, so I don't understand why everyone is calling the man Baker.
  4. You forgot my "Baker" Mayfield thread. And the stainless-steel straw thread. Or maybe those were just a bunch of replies in existing threads. At any rate, the Baker thing is getting worse. It's spreading like wildfire, primed to annoy me for the next 15+ years.
  5. It's a CATCH. CATCH CATCH CATCH Not "KETCH" How I just noticed this for the first time after watching football for 30 years, I truly have no idea. 95% of commentators appear to say... "He made the ketch!" "What a ketch." "You've gotta ketch the ball." They are literally saying "sketch" without the S. And to all those who would effectively say, Who cares? Well, I do. It's a burden. Be glad you don't have to carry it.
  6. I love Bulldog, actually. But Schopp is a prickhole, and I'd love nothing better than to put him in his place with an IQ test. Idiot thinks he's God's gift to humanity.
  7. I am 100% done with Kelvin Benjamin. You know what I saw on that interception play? Benjamin pulls up at the last second and stops trying to extend for the ball because he knows he's about to get hit. Done. Cut his ass now.
  8. I'd love to. I've talked to him before. I'd love for him to admit just once that he maybe, just maybe, might not be the smartest human. Oh not just every break... Multiple times every break.
  9. They look exactly like I expected. Idiots who believe whatever they're told about the environment. I can just picture the body language of the one who says "awesome"
  10. This is definitely something that someone should have thought, "We're still using Tyrod's voice on our gameday intros; we'll need to change that." And then it should've been taken care of. It's flaky. That's what it reminds me of! That's one of the reasons it's so annoying.
  11. Do you think the official Bills radio broadcast should use an ex-player who left on less-than-good terms on its official intros? It baffles me that people don't care about this stuff.
  12. I am sick and tired of hearing Tyrod Taylor's cadence over and over and over again every Sunday on WGR's gameday intros. I called to let them know that it's clearly and obviously TT. Obviously some producers think it's generic and not identifiable as Tyrod. "Ready!" His voice was always so annoying. TT may have put on a humble face, but he is actually very arrogant.
  13. This is so misleading. Calling him a "stud" overall would be totally different than calling him a "stud athlete." McCarthy's praise was nowhere near as effusive as the headline would have you believe.
  14. Week 4: @ Green Bay Packers Wow. No one—and I mean NO ONE—saw the Bills' 27-6 shellacking of the Vikings coming last week. The game was so out of hand and it was so obvious that the Vikings would never get anything done that the Bills literally stopped trying with 2 minutes left in the FIRST HALF. Raise your hand if you can confidently say anything other than "The Rams are good" after 3 weeks. No hands? I didn't think so! The game this week is very tough to read. A lot of local media see another big performance coming from the Bills. I am hopeful for that, but I lean more to thinking that last week was an anomaly. For those reasons and because the Packers are due to get back on track at home, I can't take the Bills in this one. 1. The Packers will start fast. All the talk of the Bills' improved defense will revert back to frustration when the Packers jump out to a quick 14-0 lead, thanks in part to a Josh Allen turnover. Which leads to: 2. Playing from behind, Josh Allen will come back down to Earth. He'll throw three interceptions on the day as he is confused by former Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine's schemes. 3. LeSean McCoy will return to the lineup and, not coincidentally, the Bills' running game will get nothing going on as Shady refuses to hit the holes. He'll average 2-point-something yards per carry. Result: Packers 27, Bills 13
  15. Chris Conte thrown to the ground with a stiff-arm... Anyone remember where we've seen this before?
  16. "That's a good football a team. It's a team that's been where we want to go... at some point in the future." It's a rough quote, but the point is that McD made clear to emphasize "at some point in the future."
