  1. It seems odd because, unless I'm missing something, he appears to be clearly out of shape. And I wouldn't think that would fly under McDermott.
  2. I agree that you shouldn't in a vacuum, but it's about more than just these two preseason games... It's everything about this team and its trajectory.
  3. Making the playoffs a couple years ago was cool, but I don't think anyone would argue that it really lifted the dark cloud over this franchise. Our journey back to respectability/true competitiveness continues. But I think this might be the year that a page is turned, emphatically. I've watched an unhealthy amount of preseason football this year. And it seems like the Bills might be really good. Top to bottom. And they've got star players to make impact plays at every level of the field on offense and defense. Something feels different now. Other than the Patriots, I can't think of an opponent I fear. And the only reason I fear them is not because of talent; it's because they're smarter than everyone else. I think we're going 12-4 this year. We'll be good out of the gate. The future will arrive suddenly, as it often does when teams turn the corner. Within a month or two of the season starting, the Bills being a top team will just be accepted. I don't think there'll be any sweating out a playoff spot. Go Bills!
  4. Agree with the Chad Kelly talk, and it has nothing to do with his name. He would be an EXCELLENT scout team QB and really deserves to be a backup somewhere. He's good. Jackson is painful to watch. It's like he never got used to his body.
  5. The Bills usually do. But last year particularly, some teams are holding healthy guys out of the entire preseason. So the game 3 thing isn't what it used to be.
  6. I wish they'd just let everyone play the what-used-to-be traditional amounts (quarter game one, quarter game two, quarter and a series game three, series game four). I think some organizations go too far with holding players out. I mean, is Jared Goff too good for preseason?
  7. I find it amusing that you accuse me of being condescending. You are not only consistently condescending, but you are also directly rude and insulting. Of course, people will take your side because you're a mod and part of the old guard here. All I'll say about Jones at this point is I'll agree to disagree. I don't expect him to be cut or traded. I "proclaim I'm an acknowledged blogger of the team"? What the hell are you talking about? I had a fan website once called The Bills Blog. Is that wrong in your book? It's funny that you had to sneak in a comment about your lack of belief in a god as well. Actually, "Oh my god" is a common expression that does not refer to any god specifically or acknowledge belief. And you already know that I didn't mean the "hilarious" bit literally, so you can come off of that weak argument. There must be something you're not telling me that ticked you off at some point, because this post hasn't come close to justifying the level of vitriol you display. Take your bizarre, hateful reaction to the idea of me sharing my NFL Game Pass experience, when others took an interest in it and you were (as I recall) the only one to have a problem with it for some reason -- simply because, in your eyes, everything I do is wrong and to be laughed at and criticized. I love how you're like, "Anything else you’d like to discuss publicly?" as if you're dropping the mic because you thought your post was good! ?
  8. You know what I'd like to know? I'd like to know what your problem with me is. It's clearly personal, but I don't remember what the root of it is. I'm tired of you being such a jerk and constantly reacting negatively to my posts. I see a notification involving you, and I automatically know it's going to be you having a problem with something. So, seriously, how did I offend you in the first place to where you feel you need to go after me constantly? And how did you get to be a mod by being a jerk? YOUR act is getting tired. I don't have an act; I just share my opinions/fears regarding the team, and a lot of people don't want to hear anything but positivity. I've always been a fan that intensely hopes on the inside but prepares for disappointment on the outside. Now. About Zay Jones. It's not his fault we traded up for him. Did he struggle as a rookie? Yes. A lot of young receivers do. Was the "fight for Jesus" thing embarrassing? Yes. But no one could argue that he didn't improve significantly last season, and he performed like a respectable #2 receiver in the NFL. That's why the cut talk seems very foolish to me. All reports are that he's also a great cultural fit.
  9. Who's the dumbass on the NFL's social media team not noticing the "27" in the wrong Duke's Twitter handle? Unbelievable
  10. It's not about aiming. This is a common misconception. Even with perfect aim, water will still splash up from the toilet bowl due to the force of the urine hitting the water -- assuming healthy power and average water level in bowl. Women do not understand this and instead assume that boys are just haphazardly flinging things around, which is USUALLY not the case.
  11. Who is Duke William and what possession of his should become a TE? It's a foolish idea. He's trying to learn the NFL game as a wide receiver. There's literally no way he could change positions and become better than our existing TEs within a couple weeks. C'mon, man. Unfortunately, he'll be cut.
  12. I wouldn't call the pass rush a weak link. It's not the best in the league, but it's far from a liability.
  13. Kicking. Offensive line hasn't had time to gel. Wow, this team is really good.
  14. Does the CoC allow member-sponsored contests with cash winnings?
  15. I bet at least three of these players will be let go: LeSean McCoy Robert Foster Lee Smith Stephen Hauschka Harrison Phillips Siran Neal
  16. Oh my god... The coaching staff vs. the fans on Zay Jones might be the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. Zay Jones is a top player on this roster and is still on his rookie contract. He will not even be a consideration for cuts... I truly don't understand why fans have it out for him so much. I wonder if it's because fans had unrealistic expectations for him. He was a second-round draft pick, folks, and he hasn't been a disappointment.
  17. I feel like the coaching staff might be too close to see the obvious.
  18. I don't hear other kickers using holders as an excuse. Hauschka has not been the same since the injury. Even when the kick goes in, it kind of flutters through like a wounded duck, with little power and unnerving accuracy. We need a new kicker with a strong leg ASAP, and McD/Beane need to look past any loyalty to Hauschka.
  19. Couldn't agree more about the kicking. Very problematic.
  20. Harass people in real life? What are you talking about? You've had a problem with me for a while and I can't remember what the root of it is.
  21. Of course he was. Only because he's in New England.
  22. Trade McCoy. Cut Yeldon. RBs: Gore, Singletary, Perry, Wade Because there's no way another team doesn't pick Wade up at this point.
