  1. So his choice is to be a family man or continue feeding his ego. And he's struggling with it. Take a lesson from Harry Chapin:
  2. Thanks for the heads up.
  3. A conversation from an alternate universe: "Coach Jauron, what was the key factor in your Super Bowl run?" "Well ... we punted well."
  4. I agree about the bad attitude, but I don't see his resume as impressive at all. And yeah, he hasn't always had a great supporting cast, but the 2016 Dolphins went 10-6 and made the playoffs, where virtually the same team with him instead of Tannehill went 6-10. And as someone else pointed out, many of his picks came at the worst times. That doesn't show up in a stat line.
  5. If by "that old magic" you mean magically throwing the ball to the other team, then yes, he did recapture some of that.
  6. If I were sick and I had to choose between asking a Cardinal or a nurse for help, I'd choose the nurse.
  7. The nursing profession is based on science, not blind obedience. Becoming an RN is a very rigorous process.
  8. Draft position is important, but so is free agency. It's easier to attract quality free agents when you're a playoff team. It's difficult when your playoff drought is old enough to vote.
  9. Don't tell me that song ain't got no heart.
  10. When healthy, Clay is a stud. But your QB point is spot on - we saw how well the Pack did when Aaron Rodgers was out for 7 weeks. He's far more important to the team than Matthews.
  11. I'm not an optometrist but I have one anecdotal data point for you. When I first got prescription sunglasses, they matched my regular prescription. A couple years later my 'scrip changed, but I was too cheap to buy new sunglasses, so kept the old sunglasses and just updated the regular glasses. I don't remember the difference in numbers, but I found that when I switched between regular and sunglasses, it took me a few seconds to adjust, but it wasn't a big deal. I think my regular 'scrip changed twice while I had the same sunglasses, and it worked out okay. Eventually I got tired of carrying around sunglasses, so I now have Transition lenses.
  12. Engineering student: "What?" Engineering professor: "A Watt is a Joule per second."
  13. I can't say I'd be crazy about either one, but if those are my only choices, then I'd prefer to work for Marrone. Rex is all talk.
  14. By that logic one should never draft a QB. We know Foles played well last year, but that's not a guarantee of future success, especially given his checkered past. I actually wouldn't mind spending a 2nd round pick to get him, but last I heard, the Eagles are asking for at least a first.
  15. The OP didn't say anything about spending two first-round picks. Maybe the guy they like is still available at 21.
  16. "Was it good for you?" "It was the BOMB!"
  17. I agree, Virgil. The vets you cited remind me of the Cassel situation - he had a good year in NE so KC spent a pick and a massive chunk of their salary cap, only to find that he was a "system" QB. I'd rather draft a guy and get a decent vet on the cheap. (And maybe that is Keenum or Bradford, assuming someone else doesn't offer more.) And while some might laugh at the prospect of bringing back Fitz to mentor a rookie, I'd actually prefer him in that role rather than Tyrod.
  18. I don't hear anything on TBD, but I read a lot. Do you hear voices?
  19. Apple employees don't know how to use Windows.
  20. I think we'll see it within a decade.
