  1. Complete bust they should probably cut him
  2. Heading into the 2021-22 season there was great optimism that the offense would continue its strong play, but understandable realism that there could be regression because statistically offensives that produced 500 pts or more as the Bills did in 2020 see a drop off of a few touchdowns the year after. Additionally once an offense makes it mark the following offseason teams have a year of film to target certain areas. That makes evolution necessary to keep a high offensive output possible and not become stale. After week 1 anyone associated with the offense including the waterboy was open for criticism at the time. Since then though a few things have happened including just time to let things play out that have helped significantly make the offense a far more efficient machine then the 2020 version: Allen has had time with his fellow teammates to find their flow. Sanders has become a prime target for Josh, but it took a game or two for them to find their way. People forget last year John Brown and Beasley were in year 2 with Josh and established as good targets. Diggs was the new guy but he is a sublime talent and Allens work with him all offseason showed DaBoll backed off running the spread and has integrated Knox far more. This is without a doubt the most important piece in my opinion. After week 1 I think the Bills offense said oh crap with the amount of pressure put on Allen and the offensive line given how PIT covered them. Most defensives do not have PIT's personnel nor the coaching to do what they did. That said KC in the title game and PIT week 1 did a great job making Josh's pocket collapse while holding a ton of guys in coverage making it a tough passing situation. I personally think Josh was actually fine week 1 minus a few misses and it was the parts around him that let him down, but regardless it was a problem. Last year and week 1 the Bills were running close to 60% in spread form, whereas weeks 2-5 here its been down to 37%. Dawson Knox obviously has been a big part in adding a new look to the offense, but the offense has excelled non-spread forms which has given the offensive line more time and the ability to create different looks. The Bills are rushing quite well in fact 5th overall. Josh looks like an MVP candidate again, but the running situation has been an ally to the offense at this point that has made Josh's life easier. I loved that the Bills opening drive they let Josh run (smartly I may add) to help the offense. That forced the defense the rest of the game to be prepared for that element of the Bills offense. I love the Bills want to pass, but the diversification allows a much less predictable offense overall which in turn makes it more dangerous. The Bills offense ability to score slowly has allowed the defense to rest more. One of the issues the defense had the first half of last season was the offense scoring so fast they didn't have time to recover. They admitted as much as a unit that this was a different challenge compared to the first 3 years with McD. The defense is playing at a much higher level this year which is superb, but the ability for the offense to run a 7:51 min long drive for a TD with 13 minutes left like they did in KC is vastly more important then given credit to All of these factors have led to a far stronger offense as a unit that is not solely predicated on Josh having to throw his way every game to success. Make no mistake he will absolutely have games that is needed, the TB game could be one of those 400 yd games we need from Josh given how good their offense is playing. But the evolution of the offense makes the Bills far more lethal in my eyes then last years team.
  3. Nice to have our friends up North back, my only caveat is if the Bills performance goes down were banning you until the SB is over
  4. Nope and I think there is a lot of fear that if Snyder were forced out he may leak other things which while not at his level would still be really bad league wide.
  5. This was mentioned online but basically guy receiving the checks (Gruden) vs. guy writing the checks (Snyder). I do not disagree that the NFL should try to make Snyder sell, BUT the league is an old boys club in parts also which shows with stuff like this. What I do not get with the league and Snyder is a better owner would just make more money for the league and team. It is in the NFL's and the 31 other owners best interest for Snyder to leave.
  6. Thank you for this. I read the Chiefs forum and they think Buffalo was gifted the game by the refs if your talking about who got more favorable calls. In general every fanbase thinks the refs are out for them. The biggest thing for me is how sensitive Bills fans are. I believe we were named the most sensitive fanbase in the NFL and like you said there is a heavy small market insecurity/us the against the world mindset our fans get regularly. Now that the team is winning I think that chip is much larger.
  7. You knew things with the reffing were bad when even Al Michaels was getting pissed, he once quipped "And what a surprise here comes another flag". I am sure the NFL was thrilled with Al basically burning the ref crew after a while lol
  8. Check twitter, people were there
  9. After last nights win in the words of Judge Mills Lane my thoughts on going to the airport were this " I'll Allow it"
  10. I would say the Giants teams that beat NE kinda were the trend setters with this and a four man front that eats the offensive line which allows heavier coverage. Prior to that in 2007 offenses were not as dynamic to that extent, Peyton and Brady change that over the last 15 years and other teams picked up on it.
  11. Hold on this one has been a fun trip down the past, in the words of judge mills lane "I'll allow it"
  12. I was considering a whose uniform is better by quarter and the effects of look by dirt and grime as the game progresses with a special feature on how rain plays a role in making the uniforms more slippery
  13. The extra point gets blocked but they manage to realign for the kick and make it which is worth 1.5 pts lol
  14. This is why I predicted 9-6 OT win Buffalo, the weather duh haha
  15. 6. Carrie Underwood singing lol
  16. 9-6 OT Bills Both teams forget how to play offense, there is lots of yelling in living rooms across KC/BUF as the game sucks to watch, and Buffalo wins on a FG in OT leaving you feeling weirdly unsatisfied and the Bills drop in the power rankings by 7.
  17. Since 2017 they've had big road wins every year (17 Atlanta, 18 Min, 19 DAL, 20 NE/SF/LV). If at this point you are still looking for proof of them being legit idk what to tell you
  18. Thank you for the stadium response. I had the same feelings with Allen and the offense in regards to the weather. We have a high octane group... and we play in elements not conducive for best performance. The concourse issues I have been use to for a while and I actually appreciated in the 300 the whole beer and drink fridge thing where you grab and then just check out. That said new stadium would allow for much better concession lines, walk way space, and overall experience. I have been to Miami twice and its wild how much better then stadium is in that regard to us. Also more space that covers people in the weather is a must if we have to be outdoors.
  19. Assuming his medicals are ok and he would buy into the culture, sign him ASAP I could care less what he said on the way out, frankly it matched what most of us thought. If he can get us closer to the Super Bowl then do it.
  20. Don't kill the messenger Bill Barnwell had it this morning that he was a -4.6 epa. Saying his play is the best of any in this class isn't much considering how bad they all have bad in various ways. The last few years you've had guys like Herbet or Burrow etc.. torching for 300 yds etc.. Mac has managed to be the best by simply not being a tirefire which is a respectable thing. And I get your a Pats fan but the hype is there from outlets, heck Collinsworth last night was praising him last night as if he went off for 400 yds 4 TDs. He looked fine last night which is a pretty solid compliment considering who they played, the situation, etc...
  21. This morning the advanced stats said that Jones COST the Pats 4 pts with his play last night. I think he hasn't looked bad and could even be decent for sometime, but the hype attached has been stupid and inflated because of where he went not his actual play.
  22. Bills 27 Texans 13 I have said this feels like a closer game then people will give credit for and reminds me a lot of last years Chargers game where Bills control but the other team won't go away. With it suppose to rain a bit I see the Bills running a little more and using more screens. Anyhoo 1st quarter both teams trade possessions until Mills gets Cooks for a 30 yard pass to get in the Bills redzone. Buffalo holds though so its a FG and 3-0 HOU. That awakens the offense who goes 65 yards and score on a Singletary TD run to go up 7-3. Mills gets INT on the next series mid 2nd quarter and Buffalo scores another TD with Beasley scoring on a slant. The Texans manage a drive before half to get a FG and the game is 14-6 at half. The Bills get the ball out of half but the drive stalls and its a FG thanks to a holding penalty negating a TD. Late 3rd quarter the Bills get the ball again and drive for another TD to go up 24-6 thanks to a Davis TD pass from 10 yds out. The Texans respond though as Mills connects with Danny Amendola on a 25 yard gain to get to the Bills 5 yd line and Ingram pounds it in to close it to 24-13 at the start of the 4th. The Bills though take 6 mins off the clock to open the fourth and ice the game with Bass 2nd FG of the game. Allen 20-30 289 yds 2 TD's 35 yds rush Singletary 90 yds 1 TD 14 atts Diggs 4 rec 102 yds Tre White 1 INT 4 PD
  23. That's fair. 2013 is still the standard bearer for yikes this ain't good and this draft is starting to feel really familiar to that.
  24. 14 wasn't much better and Bridgewater and Carr were 32 and 2nd round. But agreed 13' wasn't good, although both Geno and EJ had at least some hype due to college performance.
