This is the opposing fan sentiment. But we know better here. This team just got younger & faster. If Beane hits on 3-4 picks in this draft, we'll be as good as anyone in the AFC.
-
Just checking around the internet, the general sentiment is that our window is now officially closed. I agree w/ you. Tre hardly played for us the last couple of years. Hyde & Poyer were kind of starting to hurt us in terms of speed in the secondary. If Beane nails the draft & we can stay kind of healthy (admittedly, 2 big "ifs), we might even be better heading into '24.

We have quite a few late rounders. I'm sure some will be trade fodder, but hopefully we draft a punter too.
-
It hurts that his last moments on the field for the Bills were getting carted away w/ a towel over his head. Thank you, Tre. Never gave less than everything he had.
-
Miller will probably be next year. Hopefully he can regain some of his form this season. Even a 6-7 sack season would be great.
-
I'm bummed that we couldn't keep the line together, since it's the best we've had yet. But if McGovern can be effective at center, we should be solid.
-
I can't keep up! This is the only one I actually expected, though...

In one day, we went from an aging team to pretty spritely.
-
The coaching staff has to lose that philosophy, now that Allen's contract is kicking in. This team has to draft well, an play many of those draft picks sooner than they'd like to.
-
When the Bills win a title, there are players I'm going to think about w/ gratitude, and wishing that they could have achieved that goal while they were on the team. Hyde & Poyer top that list. They helped give the Bills D a fierce identity, and were always a joy to watch. I wish both guys the best.

Could the Bills be looking at Denver?

I think we get a 1st rounder, and either Boyd or Bourne. And that'd be just fine. I'd rather trade up in the 1st round for a better prospect than trade for one of these guys & their larger contracts. -
Seems like a really good dude. Glad he got a ring. Unpopular opinion, but I like his brother too.

Which QB Will Win Their First SB Next?

Anyone see that story that Burrow's wrist injury is much worse than they originally thought? -
The coaching staff is probably best at developing players at CB and Safety. I'm w/ the posters who advocate going w/ more youth on this one.

Beane has done a great job building the line, both starters & depth. Really, the most important unit when you have a true franchise QB.

Good QB's - but neither has proven that they're on par w/ the big 3 in the AFC. It will help Herbert to have Harbaugh. The Chargers might emerge as a legit contender. But I've really gotta see it. I'm skeptical. Stroud looked great last year. Let's see how it goes this year. It has happened that a QB can look really good, but then the league kind of catches on to how best to defend him. Lawrence & Jax were the hyped team coming into this past season, and took a step back instead. -

I kind of know what you're saying, but generally reject the idea that QB's beat each other. Allen plays KC's defense, and Mahomes plays against the Bills' defense. -

Probably Allen or Burrow. The AFC is better than the NFC, and Mahomes, Allen & Burrow are the top 3 QB's in the AFC. Both Burrow & Allen have rosters than can win it all. Hope it's Allen, but it wouldn't shock me if Burrow won next. -
I'm expecting a WR - but a difference-making pass rusher wouldn't ruin my day or anything.

Dion Dawkins Value - Extend or Trade?
Success replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, the Bills would REALLY have to like VanDemark. I suppose it's possible, but above average LT's aren't too easy to come by, and Beane loved our starting line last year. That would be a big roll of the dice, imo. Everything is probably on the table this offseason, so who knows. But I can't see them trading Dion. And on a side note, I thought Mahomes was kind of a baby for chirping back on that after the game. His right to do, of course - but c'mon. -
So....who do we have now for depth at center?

This is gonna be a BIG draft for the next 5 years of this team. More picks than I can remember us having in many years. It could really set us up well if we choose wisely.
