  1. Man, after craning my neck to look up at the Pats in the division standings - and usually the Jets and/or Phins - I'm really appreciating these days of being the team to beat in the east. And it's no fluke. We'll likely win most of the division titles as long as Allen is our quarterback.
  2. It makes almost no sense - which is why I'm confident in the win this time around. I don't think it's a match-up thing at all. Just a weird anomaly.
  3. You know, both Milano & Bernard - as we know - are on the smaller side, which is why we see multiple injuries w/ both. It might not be the worst thing to get both back later in the season so they can hopefully stay healthy into the playoffs.
  4. "Obnoxious?" It's a generosity of spirit, that benefits people - and it turns something negative into a positive. I'll take that kind of obnoxious behavior EVERY DAY. The world needs more of that. Much more.
  5. It feels like so much more of a "team" now - on both sides of the ball. I hate to make this comparison, but it's almost like that Pats that 1st year they won the SB. Everyone just doing their job, no one complaining, great complementary football. I gave up on Diggs after that sideline confrontation w/ Allen in the Cincy playoff game. Me-first all the way w/ that guy.
  6. Wow - that was really their biggest offseason signing. Big loss for them.
  7. Not this time, Jags. Not this time.
  8. Anyone who wants McDermott replaced should mind the phrase "careful what you wish for." He's clearly one of the better coaches in the league. He gameplans well, we made great adjustments in last week's game, and I think his in-game decisions have improved over time. You see other coaches around the league and realize we have it pretty good. Of course there are some better coaches, but even McDaniel last night - what was that before the end of the 1st half? And no urgency in the 4th quarter. Miami was a mess last night. I get that Tua's injury knocked them off balance, but you see this kind of stuff every Sunday from many teams.
  9. The Jets played a top team, so it's hard to gauge - but I didn't see anything scary there. I think they were overhyped, and listening to NY radio, a lot of their fans thought so also, even before they played SF. If we can stay relatively healthy, the division is ours again, imo.
  10. Von looking like Von from 5 years ago is extremely encouraging. He looked absolutely sprightly out there.
  11. We all know how this staff tends to ease rookies in slowly - but I really think they have to put Bishop out there now. He'll likely have some growing pains, but he's a 2nd rounder, he clearly has some talent and they should get him fully acclimated by the playoffs. He could be a difference-maker, imo.
  12. This team has already answered most of the questions I had. It's hard to overstate how crucial it is that Von looks disruptive again.
  13. Man, I really hope Tua considers retiring. Absolutely zilch to do w/ sports or the rivalry.
  14. This is how you play when you're up 21 on the road, going into the 4th quarter w/ possession.
  15. This was a statement game. We've got us a good team this year.
  16. O-line is blocking great in both the pass & run game.
  17. This team looks just as good as any team we've had.
  18. It's good to see Bass kicking w/ some confidence. One less worry if he can keep it up.
  19. Or, maybe just this week. Let's not make the sky fall.
  20. I enjoyed that start. Very much.
  21. I'll always be grateful to Diggs. He and Allen changed the culture of this team - he was such a big part of that. That moxie he had. I don't know if I'll miss him, though. I'll miss some of the talent he brought to the field - but already it feels liberating to not have such a distraction w/ his attitude & antics.
  22. I think the difference in this game is the pressure we'll be able to get on Tua. Hill & Waddle can be scary, but if you can get to Tua, their impact is much less.
  23. That TD run was spectacular. I didn't watch ESPN's "top 10" that night, but I hope it was in there. Good call, OP.
  24. Gosh - that's so unlike the Bills....
  25. Does anyone else watch Nick Wright's show? I've seen so many TV analysts over the years. He's really the 1st guy that I'll literally dive for the remote for because I can't change the channel fast enough.
