Will Bills Make it to Detriot Rested for the Game?
Success replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
I consulted the magic 8 ball. It is decidedly so. -
He's a very good player - could be great if he can stay more healthy. Probably one of their best draft picks of the past few years.

Sunday's game vs Cleveland is being moved to Detroit

What a mess. I guess they must have had their reasons for waiting - it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense, though. It will be a relief to hear that they made it safely to Detroit. Here's hoping for the best. -

Sorry - I'm still fuzzy on this "flying out tomorrow" thing. I'm sure there is more detail somewhere on here, but was wondering if someone can just fill me in: is the snow supposed to stop by tomorrow? And how are the players supposed to get to the airport? -
I'd be more worried if they were playing in weather. Moving the game to Detroit is an absolutely enormous advantage for the Bills. They should be able to build a lead in the 1st half, and force the Browns to pass more.

Dorsey needs to improve. I have no problem giving him the benefit of the doubt that he CAN improve. No one is as good their 1st year on the job as they end up being. We don't really have time to waste here, though. He needs to check the tape, see what worked last year & make adjustments.

So many rumblings among opposing fans - the Bills are "overrated," "soft," "pretenders." We have them just where we want them. Time for a classic post-Hail Murray run, all the way to the show this time (and including that game, as well - in case there was any ambiguity).

Deadline to announce move to Detroit ??????????????
Success replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not only would it make for a great Thanksgiving day of football watching - but we'd win both games. -
It's probably just PTSD, but I see the 1st Pats game as our only potential loss as well. But, I see it as more of a toss-up. Night game at their place will be an advantage for them, but the Bills are still a much better team.

J-E-T-S. Jets, Jets, Jets. Not that it matters who we root for - but no way am I rooting for the Pats in this one.

I like to think that in the future, the narrative will be "remember that wild season where everything seemed to be falling apart at times, but we still got that 1st Lombardi? That was crazy!"

Division games tend to be tough regardless of talent disparity. I'd be surprised if KC won out (but can't call which one - they could lose any of those games).
-
That's kind of curse-talk. Sports history is littered w/ examples of narratives getting turned on their head. After the drought, I'll be excited ANY time we make the playoffs.

If it's starting Thursday, it's certainly possible that it could be tapering off by Sunday. You would think the heavy stuff would come earlier, just thinking about previous storms. If that was the case, they could probably still clear things out enough. But getting the Browns into Buffalo might be the rub.

I hate to belabor this one - but it was genuinely concerning. We can set aside the decision to go for it for now, which I disagreed with. But it wasn't THAT crazy, given the talent on our offense. The sequence there from 2nd down on was as unimaginative as anything I've seen. It was almost like we'd call it in a pick-up game. Everybody go out, and try to get open! Am I missing anything there? Was there anything set up on any of those 3 downs that was more than Allen dropping back and surveying the field? Great teams always seem to have some play in their back pocket - a "gotta have" play, when you have short yardage & a chance to put the game away. Do we not have that?
-
I still see us as A favorite, if not THE favorite. The teams that are now ahead of us officially do not scare me. Obviously, Philly, KC or whoever can beat the Bills - but I still would like our chances against all or any of them. Talent-wise, I think we're the best of the lot. Coaching-wise? Maybe not so much, but good talent can overcome average coaching, imo.
-
I don't think Payton - but I think we do potentially need a better coach. I don't think McD is terrible. But he's undeniably average. He gameplans well, but the adjustments and situational awareness is woeful. It would be a shame to waste having a generational talent at QB.
