  1. Bad punts.
  2. What a start!
  3. I mean, kind of bad timing there. It's a 1-game sample, but replacing Dorsey absolutely looks like the right move as of today.
  4. Such a big game for the Bills. Our next 2 opponents. It would be great to see Philly crush the Chiefs. With the 49ers looming after the Bills game for them, next week is the classic trap game. And I fully agree w/ others - the Eagles probably aren't losing 2 in a row. Fly Eagles, fly....
  5. If we actually make the playoffs by losing to the bad teams on our schedule and beating the good teams, it will bode well for a title run. Because, ya know - most of the teams in the playoffs are good.
  6. Hate to say it - but we probably beat Denver if he only sat out for 1 series. He's been great.
  7. I don't think we've seen the last of "good" Von. It was an ACL. With some guys, quite a bit of time is needed before they get back to form. Tre was just rounding into form this season before he got hurt again. Keeping the faith.....
  8. I agree on the "ordinary team" part - but in games like yesterday, I see the elements of a great team that is capable of a title. We just seem to have a tough time bringing all of those elements together in a coherent fashion consistently. We kind of have it all - the great QB, the great WR, a good running game & O-line, a rookie sensation TE, an excellent pass rush, a solid secondary, good LB's. For some reason, it hasn't been enough for us, at least this season. We're in the same boat as other teams who I don't see as being nearly as talented. Great write-up.
  9. Agree on that last part. Need to win at least 1 of the next 2. Lose to both Philly & KC, and they'll have to run the table after that to have a shot. I'm not even positive 10-7 does it w/ our conference record, but it should given the strength of the WC competition. Great write-up.
  10. "Beating the teams you should beat" has really been a nemesis for the Bills in recent years. Usually, we have one loss on the schedule that is a head-scratcher; this year, we've got a few. We put ourselves in this position, and now we just have to fight our way out. Outside of division leaders, I feel like we're significantly better than all of the teams we have to surpass - especially the teams who would get the WC if the season ended today. What a weird season. All we can do is hope. It's been awhile since I had a Sunday like yesterday, where I was watching at least 4-5 of the games w/ keen interest.
  11. Not sure if anyone has noticed - but McDermott calls a pretty good defense. While you need more out of a HC than that, it's not a bad foundation. There are a lot of bad coaches in the league. With a good OC, I think McD can succeed. And if he turns it around this season and we finish strong, he of course has to stay.
  12. That's my take. A solid day. I definitely wanted the Browns to win that game, and the Chargers losing was a plus. The Texans or Dolphins losing would have been pretty improbable - but both came close. Even though Denver has the head-to-head, I don't see them as a real threat. Solid week for sure. But we have to keep winning - take 1 of the next 2 at minimum.
  13. Man, is the AFC WC race bunched up. We just have to keep winning.
  14. Dobbs is just fun to watch. Seems like a competitor..
  15. Good thread - I'm so stoked for Sunday now. Thanksgiving, then cheesesteaks? Can't beat it. I'm thinking of getting on statins anyway, so it's good timing.
  16. My impression when he was put on IR was that it wasn't for the whole year. It's an ankle injury, right?
  17. I've had that pizza one too. My wife is from that area, and makes them like that. It's not BAD. It's just something totally different. Not my 1st choice.
  18. Is that right? That's kind of funny. I didn't realize that. I usually go without the fresh veggies, but the tomato adds some nice acidity at times. I've had that pork sammy. Very memorable, but hard to find outside of that area.
  19. Sometimes it's good to add fresh lettuce & tomato, too.
  20. Ribeye just has great flavor. I almost never do it - but it's good to freeze it a little so you can cut it as thin as possible. But yeah, thin is best.
  21. Romo was rough today. Sometimes I don't mind him - but he starts talking and keeps going at times, and when there is an injury or penalty, you're left just trying to figure it out for yourself while he's babbling on about something unrelated.
  22. Ribeye, provolone, caramelized onions, bread that's hard on the outside and squishy inside, mayo, hot cherry peppers and hot sauce. That's the way. Can't wait.
  23. I mean, if we lost to BOTH Philly & KC...who cares? That basically means we can't beat the top teams. We have to at least split those games. No choice.
  24. I feel some confidence about 10-7, and agree. I mean, if we can't go 5-2 the rest of the way - we really don't deserve to get in. Split the next 2 games, and things will be looking pretty good. Win the next 2 games, and it's looking like a lock.
