I think Beane is just being "PC" and didn't want Allen in the spotlight with this. I am willing to bet that Allen knew step by step. If Beane had stated Allen knew that it was going to happen, then Allen starts getting questions that we are trying to avoid and drop the Diggs drama for good. Yep.
