JA’s favorite pass of his NFL career
Royale with Cheese replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The best throw I have seen him make was a sideline throw to Beasley against the Rams in 2020. Beasley was running down the sideline in one of those Cover 2 beaters. Allen needed to fit it over the trailing CB and just in front of the safety. It was the perfect in between rocketing it and putting some air under it. That's a hard throw to make to be able to fit that in and especially not leaving your WR out to dry and get crushed like we've seen so many times before. Usually that throw leads the WR out of bounds where he's dragging his feet but Allen his Beasley in stride going vertically. It wasn't his most difficult throw but that's when I was convinced he's not just a strong armed QB. 4:53 mark. -

Between the concentration drops and missed blocking assignments.....he's developed a reputation. -

Meditate with him Aaron Rodgers....go to zen with him. -
James Cook needs to do something about his focus. Every time the ball is thrown to him, I hold my breath even if it's an easy catchable ball.

I did cover that in the first sentence when I said "He must be showing something...."
-
Hamlin either must be showing something or he's going to be cut. For him to be at #1 when he didn't dress last year...seems like McDermott might be doing this to market him for other teams. "He held onto the #1 spot on the depth chart until end of camp...."
-
On the 3rd rep, he put all his weight on the leg. He changed levels and got low. He wasn’t doing that last year because he didn’t trust his knee.

God is still punishing Buffalo for 13 seconds.

What does this do to you?

I think Allen is much more established than Pickett where a good camp isn't a fluke for Allen. Allen has always had good camps but this one, he seems like he in a groove.

I'm trying not to get too excited about the offense....trying.

He obviously has the skill. The only thing that is a pretty big concern is taking punishment. Is he still a 4.2 - 40 after getting hit several hundred times through out a season? It's not just getting solo tackled, its getting hit a few times in a swarm, or being pressed like yesterday or having to lay a block.....Or does he wear down by week 8 or just outright get hurt?

If Isiah Hodgins can get picked up off the practice with a career total of 4 catches in Buffalo, Shavers can absolutely get picked up as well.

How did this make you feel? Light headed a lot? I was starting to feel that way. -
What are you talking about? In our division, the AFCE, you play the same teams minus 3 weeks. So the 13 other games, same opponents. I never said it was pretty good. I said all 6th and 7th seed teams beat mostly 4-6 win teams. I'm not sure if you know this, but every single team in the NFL beats mostly bad teams. You're not lining up each week playing teams above .500. Did you know the Chiefs were 1-4 in the regular season against teams that went to the playoffs? Lost to Buffalo, Philly, Detroit and Packers. The beat teams like the Jets, Broncos, Raiders, Vikings, Chargers, Bears....that's the majority of their wins.

The QB is the most important piece for sure. No one will argue that. But to say no one else is really responsible for our wins except Allen is pretty ludicrous. The QB is the Queen in a game of chess. Its much harder to win without that piece but it's still possible if you play your other pieces very well.

LOL I brought up first place schedule and you responded with strength of schedule. You pivoted the discussion genius. I will ask you again...genius. Why haven't other teams, like the really good ones and multiple Super Bowl winners went on a streak like this? Why isn't this the norm if the accomplishment isn't really that impressive? Oh no, I'm not being called a serious poster from a guy who probably flexes in the mirror daily.
