Tell me how it works master Jedi. GM, scouting staff, coaching staff, how does the process work at OBD, I am curious since you are all knowing and have direct knowledge of the inside workings. -

I would say having an open mind involves using more sophisticated logic than “no Super Bowl = fire him”. It is not blind faith to use sound reasoning and be objective and critically think vs just make emotional decisions. Did the chiefs give Mahomes adequate weapons? Josh has more. Did McDermott make those trade ups or was it the GM? Mentioning the draft pick trade as a reason to fire McDermott is one of the most unintelligent things I have ever read here which is saying a lot. -
Still dressing like boogers.

Allen needs to mentally overpower Mahomes
Matt_In_NH replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Butger hits that kick. Allen has been let down by th staff in 13 seconds and Bass missing a kick. I know the bills are dogs to win by hitting that fg. Allen also walked off the field numerous times with the lead this year only for the defense to lose the game. Allen can improve in some areas but he is NOT the problem. -
When does 8th grade start?

I have so many 1. More wr talent is better but not the answer. See Chiefs 2. McDermott does not get the respect he deserves from this fan base 3. A cap reset of sorts should be done. White Poyer Morse should be waived and Knox traded for almost anything if someone will take the contract. 4. Related to three. I want the 10 draft picks to make the team and develop. 5. The bills will win the Super Bowl with McDermott

Go to 2:43. Not identical but is this scheming a guy open? This was Dorsey.

So Spencer Brown what say you?
Matt_In_NH replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which one of you is Spencer brown? Then I can see what say he -
If I was starting a team, I would want Shanahan over McDermott but I respect both of them as frankly great coaches. My post was snarky/sarcastic in that Shanahan is in a similar position, sure he has made 2 SB's in SF but you have to win. He had leads in both and failed to close. Was that all him? No I don't think so but this board would not stand for losing super bowl's. Getting there is not the goal, you have to win it and in that way Shanahan and McDermott are similar. Heck they have both been beaten by Mahomes and Reid more than once in the playoffs in close games.
-
Reid struggle to beat the Bills....I know that is snarky and does not matter because Reid wins SB's but my point is that they are not getting their doors blown off. SO its true the Bills had close games they won...the point is they count. THey also have close games against one of the best dynasties in the history of the league.....in that case close does not count right? You cant have it both ways either close is not good or all that matters is if you win. NFL playoffs are single elimination and a play here or there is the difference vs the Chiefs. The Bills with McDermott can beat that team.
-
Fair point about the QB but at the same time will he bring McCaffrey, Bosa, Samuel, Kittle, and many other blue chip players with him? Their roster is better than the Bills outside of QB IMO. Also my opinion: Neither will be moving on so its a moot point but I will say if Shanahan was available I would consider it, just dont see it happening. There is only one thing for this team to accomplish and whoever comes here will be "fired" by many in the fan base unless they accomplish that thing.

Does this team actually have the guts to move on from Tre White?
Matt_In_NH replied to Jim's topic in The Stadium Wall
The title makes no sense. It does not take guts to move on from Tre White They would save 6M by waiving him. But he would have to be healthy to do so. His cap it is 16M which is more than just his salary. 2024 Dead Cap: $10,369,8362024 Cap Savings: $6,073,901 -
Bass Makes $1 Million More per Year Than Butker
Matt_In_NH replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
When. I compare him to Tucker. Butger and a few others I don’t think he is in that class. but he is paid like it. There are 7 active guys who have averaged 87% for their career. Some of those play in domes for home games so that factors in. My comment is more about exuding confidence under pressure. Bass makes me nervous. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/fg_perc_career.htm -

Matt_In_NH replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did he though? He has not had a lot of pressure kick opportunities. I have never felt super confident with him. He hit an upright in Detroit when the pressure was in but it went though. -
That is unfortunate they said 4th quarter and then did end of game.....sets up for grievances

This board would fire him in an instant

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year
Matt_In_NH replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't love a lot of Chris Brown's takes but he said something after the loss that resonated with me. It was something like "what if we are in the Michael Jordan era and the Bills are the Knicks". I agree with you, they just find a way to win. THe Bills find a way to win most games but when it has mattered against that team they have not. But when I really look at the last two losses, 13 seconds was a coaching disaster, the players won the game and the coaches lost it. This last one they made one or two plays the Bills did not. Butger does not miss, Bass did. Chris Jones walked Dawkins into Josh, etc. It was that close so even though the Chiefs are a dynasty and all that I cant help but go back to how close these games were/are. No one can convince me the Bills cant beat them.
