  1. People hear call Rivers a game manager but they fail to realize is that is what Marty ball is all about. As long old marty is coach the only time offense is opened up is when the team is losing.
  2. There is no guarantee that Lindell would have made the field goal if it was closer. You have to try and get a touchdown especially when there is time for Peyton Manning and Company to come back and score with the most clutch field goal kicker in NFL history.
  3. I would take Leftwich over Losman. Losman is as bad as Bledsoe in terms of getting rid of the ball (the fact is anything more than 4 seconds to throw the ball is a luxury). Some people think he is still going to develop but look at the other QBs from that draft (Eli Manning, Big Ben, Phillip Rivers) have already shown something by now where Losman really hasn't.
  4. 7-9??? Have you watched the bills lately. I mean they lost to the lions, it doesn't get much worse than that. The bills seem to be getting worse not better as the season goes on. THe packers have played well the last few games and are easily the favorites going against buffalo. Houston and Miami are winnable games but buffalo hasn't put together a solid four quarters all year and that includes the two games they won.
  5. Mawae?? By the time the bills have a chance at being any good he will be retired.
  6. I don't see him having much trade value. Moulds only got a 5th rounder what do you think a damaged LB is going to get?
  7. Buffalo I believe is becoming the new Bengals in terms of recruiting free agents. The team has the longest playoff drought of all NFL teams and is in obviously rebuilding mode yet again. I believe the bills will most likely lose Clements and either London Fletcher or Takeo Spikes or possibly both will be gone next year as Fletcher's skills are starting to decline and Takeo will never be same after his injury. Moreover, Losman hasn't shown enough to cement him as the starter next year so the QB position will be up in the air again next year. The Bills most likely will have to offer significantly more money than other teams to get top tier free agents and the organization is not willing to do that. So don't expect to see any blockbuster free agent signings next year.
  8. I am sorry I saw more reason for concern than optimism. The defensive line is going have trouble stopping the run again this year and the offensive line showed that it is going to be a long season for JP as the running game and pass blocking was not there in the second half.
  9. The bills have a problem finishing games off this. This just another example of letting the other team hang around and eventually getting you in the end.
  10. Backup fullback is a waste of a roster spot unless they can play special teams.
  11. So he knows the playbook big deal. If you watch enough tape of any coaching staff you can probably figure out the playbook yourself.
  12. I would say the ability of scrambling QB's to avoid sacks is definitely overhyped. Sometimes the scrambling QB runs around and gets sacked instead of just throwing the ball away. The best QBs avoid sacks by making small moves in the pocket to avoid the rush and throwing the ball away.
  13. I think aaron gibson gets cut in the final cut to 53
  14. The Pats are still far superior to the bills on offense and defense despite their losses in the last few years. I'm not saying the bills can't win it but it would be very unlikely to win at New England.
  15. The key to the bills next year is how they stop the run on defense. If the bills don't improve in run defense they could be picking first next year. It is the biggest question mark in my opinion.
  16. Kelly Holcomb has no trade value. If we did find someone to trade him to the best you could hope to get is a conditional 7th round pick or a player the other team was going to cut anyways.
  17. Yeah I believe that has more to do with teams running out the clock at the end of the game.
  18. I have to say I am concerned about losing Moulds as well. Lee Evans is a great number two but I think he is going to end up like Peerless Price as a number one receiver. The reason clayton and duper worked is because they had dan marino throwing them the ball. If you have a hall of fame QB the wide receivers do not matter as much.
  19. I agree that the bills don't have the talent to make to the playoffs but I do think they improved the roster over last year. The dolfins and jets will improve this year and the patriots still have superior talent and coaching as a result the improvement will not translate into a much better record this year.
  20. http://www.thebrushback.com/billslooking_full.htmlink
  21. That Mock Draft has all 4 NFC North teams picking in the top 10. Unless they are predicting some trades that is not even possible.
  22. It is not just ticket sales, parking, concessions. It is also all the team merchandize, sponsorship deals, stadium naming rights (which Wilson won't sell), and other streams of revenue.
  23. The only way I see a team offerring the Bills good value to trade down from the number 8 pick is if Vince Young slips to 8. Cutler had alot of hype but is not going to be picked in the top 10.
  24. What about trading Losman and Moulds for Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison. This trade is totally unrealistic and will never happen but I thought I would post it anyway. Oh and what about the over the hill has been that just got cut I think we should sign him, I mean I heard of him so he must be good.
