  1. I would like them to take a chance on Andre Woodson. He's athletic and I think has more upside than anyone else they can select there.
  2. Besides one good game fred jackson has shown nothing and eventhough some on here think he is the next willie parker or something I haven't seen anything to make me think he is more than a one hit wonder. Moreover, Dewayne wright has not looked good in the limited time he got.
  3. The problem at the bills TE position is not depth but getting a top level player at TE. All the prospects with top level potential are already gone and the bills have 3 TEs that are as good or better than anyone they can draft at this point. Therefore, picking a TE would be poor value and stupid. It is unlikely the bills will get any starters from rounds 3-7 so they should go for depth and pick the best player available for all OL positions, 4th DE, Safety (Free and Strong), LB, WR, and possibly a backup QB if one falls.

  5. I wouldn't be surprised if bills go Dan Connor here.
  6. The 2 7ths mean nothing to other teams. you need at least a 3rd and 5th to get back into second.
  7. Will the bills do the usual move and trade back up into the first to get their top rated WR?
  8. June 1st cuts are not important any more with so many teams well under the salary cap. Only a few over paided on the decline players will be cut.
  9. No matter the situation some people think trading down is always the right move. If you take out the obvious reason of getting better value there are two conditions that make trading down a good strategy. The first would be if there is no real way to evaluate which players would be most successful. If this is the case then having more picks gives you a higher probability of selecting an impact player. In reality, talent evaluation isn't perfect but the higher the pick the more likely the player will contribute to the team eventhough many players don't live up to their potential. The other way that trading down generally makes sense is if the differences in talent between players is small. I think in the later rounds of the draft is actually where the lack of real talent evaluation and differentiation of talent make trading down more sensible, however, time constraints and the willingness of teams to trade late in the draft make it difficult to execute late round trades.
  10. If Losman cannot start over Trent Edwards there is very little chance he will start over Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is not a rookie, he was drafted in the first round of the same draft class as Alex Smith. He is still a bit of an unknown, however, the Packers are going to give him a chance to succeed or fail given they used a first round pick on him. On the other hand so far, Losman has been a marginal starter at best.
  11. Deepest D in the league? What a joke. Guys like Wilson, DiGorgio, and Leonard would not even make the roster on some other teams. Moreover, some of the players because of injuries were free agents that no one wanted. The talking heads think the defense was deep in talent because there was no dropoff because of injuries. There wasn't any dropoff because they were already one of the worst in the league.
  12. No team plays cover 2 on every defensive play (the bears only play cover 2 on 54% of their defensive plays). You still need corners that can play man-to-man.
  13. If calvin johnson is there at 2 that is who everyone will be trading up for.
  14. He barely got any playing time in a rebuilding year. That makes it apparent he definitely wasn't ready last year. Moreover, the best predictor of the future is the past, therefore, until I see otherwise I would not pencil him in as a starter. In addition, most people are under the impression that because Whitner, Ellison, Simpson, Pennington started they have to be good. In my opinion, this is more an indication of the lack of depth on the team that the quality of the draft.
  15. Too many holes to fill through the draft. The bills go 7-9.
  16. If the bills don't draft a LB high he could start. He would be better than Coy Wire and the rest of the other players the bills currently have at the position.
  17. Lets rack up as many 7th round picks as we can then.
  18. Its time to call up Eddie Robinson to come back and play linebacker.
  19. I don't know why the NFL and NFLPA don't agree to a slotting salary for rookies like the NBA has. The less teams pay for rookies the more money will be paid to veterans.
  20. the bills still has joe burns number so there is no need to worry.
  21. The bills don't lack depth at WR they just lack a quality number 2. It is not a high priority so I doubt the bills will address it this offseason.
  22. Now that they have addressed the oline JPL and McGahee or whoever the running back is has to start performing to make this a playoff team. On the other side of the ball I cannot see any improvements that strengthened the run defense and with a porous run defense I can't see the bills making the playoffs.
  23. Langston Walker and Fletch got about the same amount. So which would you rather have. I think Walker is a bigger upgrade to the offense than the dropoff that will come from Fletch's replacement.
