Foles is only a 7 mill cap hit for 2018. I would rather ride AJM or winner of camp battle for starter.

AJ Bouye Best Dressed? What Am I missing?
cba fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Skinny flannel........only in Ireland maybe. After a lot of whiskey. Best dressed is reporter interviewing him by far. -
Can't we just say goodbye to a good Bill in every way character, play, teammate, off the field etc etc......who wanted to stay, and gave his all every down he ever played and came up big in only playoff game Bills have been in in last 18 years.???? Why all the hate??

Name me a bridge QB that actually helped a rookie
cba fan replied to Bing Bong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I did not know Montana hated Young. You are right though about Bridges usually do not help next starter by taking them under their wing so to speak. No argument. My main and only point is the bridge is like a temporary shim you break off or pull out when the building foundation is ready to be set. Just a necessary temp guy. It will be interesting if McCown does as he says he will in the link I provided. He has a history of not being very friendly to fans and support staff from anecdotal non verifiable fan interaction posts I have seen. But you know guys mellow with age and reality. -
Why do we still not have cap numbers for Star?
cba fan replied to BrotherChazz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If would if you were an entertainer at the top of your profession and could fill arenas, theatres, or amphitheaters, for shows/performances. -
Is Jerry Hughes worth a swap of ones with Tampa Bay?

Maybe but only if it is #22 for #7........lol -
Name me a bridge QB that actually helped a rookie
cba fan replied to Bing Bong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You OP by asking us to name a QB that "actually helped a rookie" then changed the question to "successfully passed the torch to a young QB" (I know semantics kind of) But what we lose sight of sometimes is the bridge is just a placeholder for a guy not ready yet. Just by being here and being the bridge he IS helping the rookie so rookie does not go in before he can stand the bright lights. Even if bridge or current QB hates him like Favre Brady and others have said or acted like they do hate the new guy, they help just be being here. But since you asked: Montana did best handing off to Young. A. Smith did very well handing off to Mahomes.(I know it is a little early but I am going with it, may be the best) McCown gets it: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000820945/article/jets-josh-mccown-vows-to-be-a-dang-good-bridge-qb Brees did well handing off to Rivers. Trent Green handed off to Kurt Warner(I admit a good stretch on that one) Kurt Warner handed off to Marc Bulger. Kurt Warner handed off to Eli Manning.(second best handoff after Montana to Young) Favre did well handing off to Rogers. (the poster child for just being present) Robert Griffin handed off to Cousins.(Griffin just did not know he was a bridge just like his 1st wife did not know she was a bridge) -
Holly cap hell what are you breathing in that LA air?? NO TEAM GOES OVER THE CAP. On a yearly basis some teams are able to spend more then the cap legally within cap as you can bring forward surplus you did not spend the year before, but over the long haul all teams spend exactly the same amounts on a yearly avg.. PS: you do not win when you spend way less than cap as Bills Browns and others have done in the near past.

NO. But you are going to be an unhappy fan because they miss budgeted so now they can not afford to bring in talent to be a competitive team.
-
Earlier I noted he has the ugliest tats since Italians invented chest hair. I got a little run form that but it died down quickly.
-
If he plays at a high level in 2018 and and leads team to playoffs and has a great finish in playoffs........... dreaming of course........then they sign him to a long term extension.
-
OK. WE have not had these questions for a while as we have answered them many times. No disrespect intended at all, here are the reasons for why we find your question weird. We all get "it is not our money" "that we do not write the checks" As a fan what Fans want is a competitive good team to challenge for playoffs every year and have a chance at a Super Bowl every once in awhile. If your team spends more than market rate and overpays someone, they have less money to spend on the cap and can not bring in better players. EX: they could sign Aaron Maybin out of retirement to play DE for $150 million per year. Then could not afford any other decent players. They could sign a stud WR for mega money and then have to fill out WR roster with scrubs. Would you then say you do not understand why fans would be upset with that?? Just wondering how some fans can not understand this salary cap vs acquiring good players equation. Signing AJ to low contract means they can sign two more FA and be a "better" team.

Really? Bills are notorious for not commenting on contract value for decades. It is on connected guys in the reporting/internet media business with contacts inside to find this info out for us. You know. Like you Joe. (no disrespect intended)

Wow! Outside the box thinking. I like this idea-incubator mmessage board. Never crossed my mine to do that. Makes great sense if draft falls a certain way or Bills find no one willing to draft up to top 4 for other QB.

Tannehill with a Big Restructured Contract
cba fan replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He gets a sign bonus so a large chunk moves up to right now and is guaranteed as he has it. Cap # helps team. Player gets more cash and faster cash that he can not lose if he were to be cut. Everyone is happy and it happens a lot. -
Don’t shoot the messenger, I just got a tip for 4:00 today.

Quote of the day - "gaping hole on Brady's backside"

Look at the time saving bright side. He was already recruited by Shady last year and toured the facilities for 2 (yeah TWO) days. He is all set. Just needs to make a decision. Shady does not even need to call him. He would fill the speed WR need. Personally I would tell him to go pound sand. He made the wrong choice last year. Let him go to a different team who loses out on a playoff spot by shitting the bed last game at home. If he wants a one year 4 mill prove it deal(w add incentives) to play into a good deal the following year leading to a good compensatory draft pick for Bills, then maybe I change my mind.

If you were the Browns....would you...
cba fan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would not as the Browns.....I would stumble and fall running to the phone to take this deal if I was the Colts. Hell If I was Colts i would then consider drafting Rosen and Darnold and Mayfield. I would call the Bills and ask who they want at QB before draft and agree to get him if available. I would then guarantee them that QB and negotiate premium compensation if I get him. Do the same for one more and keep the third. I would be happy with any one of them as it sets my franchise up for stars for a decade. -
Good job my friend. You are on fire. I will not check old threads as I believe you. Keep up the good work. You are carrying your screen name to heart "alphadog"

You make an interesting point Freddie. I would like to see Beane sign a FA QB right now, then trade him for picks, or moveup, and for a player......lol This being a two deep chess move could cause NFL office to come unhinged as none of this can be happening right now per the rules. Goodell will need to define league year rules after he gets done explaining what a catch is. Will be good theatre I think.
