Only because our DT depth was not nearly to the level of the staters. Bernard/Williams was solid, I’m actually mad they benched him for Dodson.

I disagree; the defense was incredible until it lost Jones AND Oliver. The offense is sloppy and uncoordinated, I can absolutely see them letting Dorsey go. If we walk into next Saturday 4-4, I can see the move happening sooner than later. We have guys on the staff with more experience than Dorsey.

Not to mention, all these mental mistakes, penalties, issues with the play-clock; the offense looks unsure and uncoordinated. Whose job is it to coordinate the offense?

*sigh* Bills MUST acquire a capable replacement for DaQuan Jones, whose DT position responsibilities are different than Ed Oliver’s.

There must be some NTs on the market who, at the least, can eat double teams.

If you have 2 competent DTs in the middle, all is fine.

Of Puna, Settle, and Ford, only Ford has been a solid NT in the NFL. He has been a massive disappointment so far in this scheme. You can only “coach up” so much. Seattle hasn’t been reliable since day one, and Phillips is 340 but plays 290 and always seems to be falling down. Tell me where I’m telling lies.

The DT depth is awful and the Puna Ford gamble did NOT pay off.

Hopefully I can get this in before this thread gets buried. Bills had their backup 1T and 3T today, and the guys backing them up are a practice squad player and a guy who had been inactive. The lack of NT was detrimental to the DL, you could see it start when Jones went out but losing Oliver was the kiss of death. Poor DTs + small LBers results in what we saw today. I love our small LBers too, but this defensive performance was predictable. All the talk of the offense, but Bills MUST bring in a legitimate NT by the trade deadline.

Jordan Phillips is an ok 1T, Settle is garbage. 3T is a massive weakness, it’s super important to the defense and we have no one.

The Puna Ford gamble was a massive miss right now, this team is toast without another NT.

Bills need to make a notable move at NT. Ford, Settle, and Phillips are rotational guys only. Vickers is garbage.

Where do I sign? Ken Dorsey Offense is clearly a bad fit for Josh Allen.

What did people expect with Phillips and Settle? We knew the DL would struggle today.

We’ve seen Allen throw picks on that route combo before…

I noticed Diggs in the slot, makes me wish we had 2 consistent outside guys.

They have had pretty mediocre QB play. If BB can get a decent QB I think they are competitive again.

I think not having Jones and Oliver will cause trickle down effect and we may be surprised by the level that the defense struggles, but I think the offense takes care of business. 34-21 Buffalo.

I hope so! I love Taron Johnson, but I think the coaches would love the opportunity to sub Dorian Williams in for Johnson on some situations.
