Glens injury which forced Dion to take LT reps probably hurt Dion a little bit. Its hard enough for a rookie to come in and learn the NFL game but throw in being shuffled around in a couple different positions instead of getting constant reps at one position slows down the learning curve.
Williams, Brown amd Hodges all cut? Wtf... so we will have no depth this year. We added 3 players off waivers who are no names. I hate this names. We better be signing Hightower, Kerley or names like these soon or ill be pissed
Dont see it. I dont see anyone remotely good enough to backup Shady. I could see us trying to sign Jeremy Kerley and release Taiwan Jones. All the bills annoucers were talking about how great Jones was on special teams. But all i saw were mistakes. He struggled with penalties right out of the gate. He had a chance to down a punt inside 5 but let it get into the endzone. His speed always put him in good position but he couldnt capitolize so i have no idea why Tasker was praising Jones so much.
Johnson is our Nickle CB. He obviously lost the battle. And with Gaines and Wright we really didnt need Seymour. Gaines is playing fantastic. And Wright is our #4 so Seymour may have been in danger of being cut.
He is a much better LT than RT because of his knees. Problem is he is not starting quality and in order to be a depth player you have to be able to play both OT positions. He is a solid LT but a terrible RT
Half the price? Nah... Kap thinks he is good. Turned down 14.5 Million guranterd to stay on San Fran and it was also reported that he has turned down other offers.
Yeah he is 3rd on depth chart because he is a slot reciever... but just because you are a slot reciever and 3rd on depth chart doesnt mean you are not the primary reciever. Jarvis Landry is #3 slot reciever but he is actually their #1. Julian Endelman is same way for Patriots. Matthews was probably their #2 overall reciever behind Alshon but was #1 bedorw his arrival
Ehh this trades have been in the works since beginning of training camp. McDermott knew is was a possbility and Beane probably didnt wanna distract Sean a within hours of his 1st ever game as HC. Thats why Beane agreed tentively so he can still get Seans opinion on the deal after the game but not distract him before hand
I dont like that talk as well... we wouldnt have added Gaines and Matthews if we were tanking. We would have just stocked up more draft picks. We simply added picks for future teams while adding more production for current team. It lowers our ceiling but raises our floor for this year
He is not pissed at all... he has played with Matthews before and wont bad mouth a friend and say we got worse. He will talk about how Jordan Matthews is super productive... even more productive than Watkins. Watkins is clearly better but ill take the player who produces consistantly and can stay on the field
What i like most about these trades tho is they help us both now and in the future. We added high draft picks for the future. But we also get more productive players for the current team. As Gaines and Matthews have been more productive than Watkins and Darby.

Well after the 1st quarter. We look like the better team here. Very talented but still making early pre-season mistakes which is expected. Still lota of room for improvement but i see a glimmer of hope for this team
I think he is trying to say that if a team goes 5-11 they usually struggle throughout the season but when a team goes 7-9 they remain competitive and are in playoff picture until the end of a season.
