The GMs job is to scout and get players to fit the coaches schemes. Coaches dont orrient their scheme by what the GM likes..

This happens every year... the last big name UDFA we got was Da'Rick Rogers. And he didnt even make the team. UDFAs is such a crap shoot its usually the guys youve never heard of that makes the teams and fills a niche that all others overlooked. Besides we got the best Punter of the draft so we may have added a starter as a UDFA... cant say that often. This scouting department has always done a decent job finding UDFAs... just gotta trust em

If they were smart they wpuld have looked at the Browns/Texans deal and realized that the 3rd was to much and a 4th/5th would have been better. Great job by Doug getting the 3rd

Didn't the Bills go South Carolina to visit Watson yesterday? So why on earth would they send Mike Williams on a plane to Buffalo when Pegula, Whaley, and McDermott was just at Clemson yesterday.

While it is good for a tea if they can build this way... its not for us at this point. The difference between us and Pats is they can afford to not build through free agency. They have Brady and Bill. They will be good no matter how bad their roster is. They just won the superbowl with a less than stellar roster. We dont have that luxury. They didnt win because they had comp picks... they won because they had Brady and Belicheck that can win in spite of a bad roster. We gotta actually build a complete roster (something we dont have cause all the free agents we had) and win before we can use this strategy to stay ahead. Pats didnt use this strategy to get ahead. Bill and Brady go them ahead. And they used Comp picks to help keep them ahead when they lost key players but Bill and Brady was always a constant they could rely on

I dont understand... people want comp picks but that would mean not having a complete team for 2017... do you people wanna sign 30 UDFAs and have to fill tje roster with them? We have a ton of openinings, 6 draft picks, and little cap space (for the openings we have). We gotta fill the roster

There are some areas it needs expanding. And certain penalties do need review. I think any personal fouls like helmet to helmet plays should be reviewed. I see on to many instances a player gets hit on shoulder and they call a personnal foul.

He is 6'5 so he definetly has the size to play tackle. He played a few games at tackle in college. He said recently he would be willing to try it if it meant helping this team. Do you guys think he could do it? Obviously McDermott and Whaley wanna get the 5 best linemen out there regardless of position so could Groy be the RT we have been looking for if he gets practice reps there?

No we cant. We need to sign somebody. We have 6 draft picks. We still need a WLB, CB, RT, WR, and maybe another S. And lets not forget we still need to add a backup QB at some point. And it seems we will want to run a 2 TE system based off who we are said to be interested in so that adds another position We are gonna need to sign a starter at one of these positions eventually we cant upgrade all these positions through the draft with only 6 draft picks

The fact that this reports mentions exactly what he wants indicates this report is false. It is one thing to know his preferred destination and its a whole other thing to say he prefers miami because he can play next to Kiko and Timmons... no reporter can honestly know that! Especially when Zach is so close to Preston
