I don't want to get into schemes or strategies. I'm not a coach so I'm definitely not getting into that. These are my humble thoughts on the simple stuff. Coaching: We got f*cked. All of our flaws were exposed. It was actually there all season. McDermott and Company will grow from this. A lot to unravel for them. We were supposed to bring the fight to Kansas City. We didn't do that. That was pathetic to see. - Stop going for field goals when we're near the goal line. - Stop playing scared. - Our QB has a mega arm and we proved that we can score in the Red Zone with the elites. Josh Allen: We have to get better protection for him. I don't want to see him taking 20 yard sacks. He's inviting bad losses on the field and major injuries to him. Can't have that. - Eliminate "Sugar High Josh." That version of him is forcing stuff and holding on to the ball too long hoping for something to unravel from the receivers. - He has to make better reads. Offense: - We need a true RB1 via the Draft. We don't need a vet. If we want a RB in his prime in free agency (which I don't), I humbly suggest Kenyan Drake or Leonard Fournette. I say no to Todd Gurley because he's washed up. - We need a good catching Tight End. - We need another WR2 "who could be WR1" via the draft to replace aging Cole Beasley and out going John Brown. Defense: Leslie Frazier might have to leave now. He's way too inconsistent for me. - Why was it a struggle to get quick "3 and out" for the majority of the season? When playoff time arrived, that ugly flaw showed its' head. - We couldn't get to the opposing QB all season. - We can't stop the run. At all. We have our moments with the current roster, but there are not many moments. - Need new LB, DB, and 2 pass rushers. O-line: - Do a better job of picking up the blitz. Players on Defense: Edmunds: Trade him. He has all the looks, but doesn't perform like it. Milano: Not a fan. He wants $8 million per year? No way. I wouldn't give him that contract. Take reduced pay. If not, he can leave. Tre White: He's here long term. I'm cool with him. Josh Norman: Let him go. He's 34 years old when next season is here. Jerry Hughes: Play out his final season with us or let him go now. He's 33 years old. Players on Offense: John Brown "Smoke": Cut him. Devin Singletary: Cut him/trade him. Whatever. That's off the top of my head. I'm very sure Beane will address all of this. He knows more than all of us here combined. I can't stress the importance of getting RB1 and Tight End for our offense. That would make Josh Allen's passing yards and touchdowns go up, relieve stress from opposing defenses shadowing Stefon Diggs and from Josh Allen having to force the issue. Opposing teams will have higher difficulty to prep against us. Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs are here to be reckon with for a long time. Beane addresses most of this in the Summer and we're that much closer to dethroning them. This would suck if we're Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen trying to beat the Detroit Pistons during the late 1980s.

Kansas City Chiefs, as Super Bowl Champion status, is not going anywhere. They are the Champs of the AFC. I'm very sure Beane and McDermott know exactly what to fix in the Summer.

Thank you Buffalo Bills

HOW SWEET IT IS! Let's Go Buffalo. We're officially contenders to the crown. What a magical season. Take care everyone in these abysmal Covid 19 times. Bills Mafia will be in there in spirit for all of us in any day to day struggle you're experiencing. Some of us might not return next season because the next day is NOT guaranteed for any of us. I'm proud to be a Buffalo Bills fan. Always will be. -
How are you passing the time today?

Demanding a victory standing outside my pastor's office. Who is not even there. -
For the last 3 months, this Bills team has made my day to day very interesting and makes me wake up in the morning. It's something I need to cope with the hardcore struggles of my current life especially in this pandemic and sh*tty economy. Sometimes, I'm not motivated to get up. Josh Allen's rise to Superstardom in his 3rd year is unprecedented. No one else, at the QB position, exploded like this. I have only seen this once before, but in another sport: The Chicago Bulls with Derrick Rose. This is compelling stuff. I'm thankful to witness this with the rest of you here. Josh Allen truly earned this. I should start calling him, "Josh Alien" because he's not from this planet. "Most Improved" is understating what we're seeing in front of us. He's definitely the team's MVP this year. In only his 3rd year, he racked up the best season by any Bills QB. He really outclassed them.

This game seems like another huge jinx for Kansas City Chiefs just like the Baltimore Ravens game. Patrick Mahomes has NEVER thrown an INT in his AFC title match ups thus far. Kansas City mayor made plans for Chiefs Super Bowl parade. I heard nothing from Buffalo mayor. Chiefs beat us in Week 6. We owe them one. Most of the talking heads, once again, chose Chiefs to win. And rightfully so. I'm not gonna hate on them for that. Kansas City Chiefs has been on easy street for a while now. Even the playoff win against the Browns was easy for Chiefs. Talking heads still disrespecting our Bills' defense. Our key players will be playing this Sunday. I would be extra motivated if I was Bills defense. We faced great defenses and still won. Talking heads are dismissing that. Mahomes' pinched nerve is not gonna bother him. It's that turf toe that's gonna mess him up. There's a good chance of rain and winds? So what? We're used to that. Those conditions will affect Mahomes and the Chiefs, too. Josh Allen doesn't have a separated shoulder this time around like he did in Week 6. Stefon Diggs >>> Tyreek Hill this season. Josh Allen is having an MVP level season. Previously, I had the odds as 40-60 in favor of Chiefs. Now, I have this game as 50-50. It's a toss up. All of our previous games this season built us up for this one. If it ends this Sunday, this was a magical season for us. Let's. Go. Buffalo.

Weather is the Bills kryptonite....

At least it's not raining down pink dildos. -
This made me cry. It's been 27 years. Pour one out for the countless Bills fans, and the people who witnessed our struggles, who died since then. The previous one was 1993. I was only 10 years old. Seems like an eternity of heartbreak. But eh, that's all in the past. The present is magical. - Josh Allen is a Superstar QB. - Stefon Diggs is a Superstar WR. - Our defense is currently THE BEST in the AFC. We're obviously lacking an explosive RB. Every time I see us run the ball: Oh well. We'll make it work. This is a season for the ages. I don't give a f*ck who we're facing in the AFC Title game. Drink up and sober up. We got business up ahead. To be The Man, we have to beat The Man. I will definitely be watching Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs vs. Baker Mayfield and the Browns. I want us to dethrone the Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs. F*ck Baker Mayfield. Our team and our QB should do it. Bring their @sses to us. We're ready. We'll bring it. As long as the defense performs like they did against The Ravens and Josh Allen is clicking then we have a good shot on any field.

I disagree with Bill Laimbeer and I've seen some of his game. The true king of flopping, of all time, is James Harden.

The End of the Lamar Jackson Era
Buffalo Ballin replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lamar Jackson is a great QB who showed his lack of passing proficiency this season. He'll be fine and he WILL be back. Count on it. This is merely the beginning of Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson. I love it. Bring it on. We want Josh Allen to be the best? Then he has to battle against some of the best. To unleash the best from Josh. Even some of the best will fall and come back stronger. What an exciting era. I wouldn't crucify Lamar Jackson. I'm looking at Roman their offensive coordinator first. I fire him immediately. Then look at their defense before I even arrive to Lamar Jackson. I give Lamar 2 more seasons to have him work on his passing. I'm confident he'll do it. -
Bills Offense versus Elite Defenses
Buffalo Ballin replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They usually do. It's not the Ravens' defense that is the problem. It's OUR defense that is the problem. If we're not clicking on that end, we're f*cked. -
As long as we don't come out flat to start the game. I don't want our offense to be going "3 and out" very quickly with the first 3 drives. And the Ravens can't score with their first 3 drives. - No fumbles from us. - No interceptions from us. - No easy field positions for Ravens to be within the Red Zone.

Don't get mad. Get even. Bills have to prove it this Saturday night. Let Lamar Jackson get his shine. So what? He IS a Superstar. He is the 2019 league MVP. If the Bills send Lamar and the Ravens home then Josh Allen officially becomes a Superstar (beyond a reasonable doubt) without needing to get a league MVP (in my humble view). To me, this is a GREAT thing that Lamar is getting all the press and most of the national sports media picked Ravens to win. Because it's a huge jinx and puts ALL of the pressure on Ravens to win again on the road. Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen are highly competitive personalities. I'm very sure, for them and Bills Mafia, that this is bulletin material to prove the doubters wrong. This trickles down to the rest of the Bills. Especially our defense, who is getting sh*tted on right now with these talking heads. Rightfully so. Ravens defense is good, but it's not historic. Because their secondary sucks. It's nowhere near the level of 2012 Super Bowl Ravens. It's damn well nowhere near historic as 2000 Ravens. Their passing offense is awful. They are the worst in the playoffs right now. If it's snowing (even a little bit) then Lamar will not throw a lot. It might snow on Saturday night, but I'm not counting on it. We should be airing it out regardless if it's snowing. Our team is unbalanced (great offense/mediocre - bad defense). The Ravens is unbalanced, too. (great defense/mediocre - bad offense). Obviously, this is NOT the match up we wanted. That's ok. I don't fear these guys. No fear at all. Lamar and Ravens CAN win this game. It's no mistake they're here. Like I wrote somewhere else, I give us 60% chance of winning since we have home field. If this game was in Baltimore, I give us only 40% chance of winning. This is gonna be a grind it out slow burn slog fest. Defense usually wins though. Our defense has got to be clicking on all cylinders and we done that a few times this season. VS. Patriots, Chiefs (yes even in that loss), Chargers, Steelers, Broncos, Dolphins. We can even argue that we did an ok job against the Colts last Saturday. We have to perform better though against Ravens because we seen better from this group. That Colts team was definitely balanced. And we won. We did stop the run a few times at goal line. Old Man Rivers >>> Lamar when it comes to throwing the ball. We'll be fine, win or lose. What a time to be a Bills fan. We gotta circle the wagons. We owe Ravens one. They beat us 3-0 in the previous 3 match ups. Josh Allen has YET TO WIN against Lamar, 0-2. It's time. Will we get it done? We'll see. Lastly, Charles Barkley officially chose us to go to the Super Bowl. He's part of Bills Mafia.

The best run defense is scoring 30+
Buffalo Ballin replied to DollaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Ravens is the BEST Defense we're about to face. Last week, I had us at 85% chance of winning against the Colts. We did it. Currently, I give us a 60% chance of beating the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore defense had their way with Derrick Henry, who had over 2000 yards and 21 touchdowns, which is a league MVP caliber season. Ravens made him look like a scrub. On Titan's turf. If it's snowing then that favors us BIG TIME. If it's snowing then I increase our chances back up to 85%. Lamar Jackson HAS to run. There's no other way. He's more than 50% of their offense. They know it. We know it. Don't let him go crazy running. When he does that wildcat crap, obviously Lamar will run the ball. Obviously, keep an eye on Dobbins. Ravens' passing offense is weak. Been weak all year. Weak against Titans last Sunday. Titans' defense sucks and Lamar barely threw the ball against that abysmal defense. Our defense better not repeat our performance against the Colts. When Lamar drops back to pass, most likely he's gonna run. Not throw. Especially if it's snowing. Watch their TE Mark Andrews. We got a double dose from the Colts. We should show that we learned from that. Josh Allen cannot get hurt. Ravens will look to knock him out of the game. Just slide or run out of bounds. Don't try to be a hero. When he's about to get sacked, just go down. No fumbles on our side. Ravens will try to eat the clock. We have to eat the clock. No rush to score. Let Lamar and the Ravens offense freeze up on the sidelines. Do NOT punt on 4th and 1 near the red zone. It's outdated thinking. Just go for it or kick a field goal. That's it. No punting. Titans and Steelers recently paid the price for that old school philosophy of field advantage. Lastly, let Josh Allen air it out with his cannon arm. 50+ pass attempts. Just don't go to Diggs early in the game. Don't telegraph that. Save Diggs for the 2nd half. Target Beasley, Davis, MacKenzie, Knox, John Brown, and Singletary in the first half. Keep Ravens thinking. This is why we fought all season to get home field despite Steelers, Titans, Seahawks, and Washington Generics not protecting their sh*t. I'm sure some fans will be at the game just like last Saturday's game. That's good enough. There's psychological comfort knowing that we do not have to travel. We're comfortable in our conditions and the field. -
Doesn't matter who it is. Teams will eat the clock when they get the ball. We know what's going to happen. It's really about "what are the Bills gonna do about that?" Bills have to play better especially on the defensive side of the ball. Gotta stop the run and get deflections.

AllenDiggs. Bass. Poyer. Hyde. Beasley. (surprised that he played) Nice win. We passed a really good test. Homefield ALWAYS matters. No one else can argue otherwise. Even in Covid-19 era, homefield is crucial. Imagine if we played in Indy... The Ugly: Losing RB Zach Moss. Josh Allen taking hits that he shouldn't be taking when he runs the ball. Can't do anything about it now. Have to draft power running back in the summer. We finally got the 25 year old playoff winless drought monkey off our backs.
