Nope. Think early 90's teams
-
I had to look it up just now but he was only a Met
-
It’s the guy in the red shirt. Can give you a hint if you want
-
Let see how good you guys are with former Mets. The guy on the left in the photo below is an ex Met. He’s a friend of a co worker whose a friend... If I told you his name you’d probably remember him.

I think once the internet happened a lot of sports reporting went downhill ex: SportsCenter. It’s like these networks had to figure out ways to make the reporting entertaining since you can get the scores anywhere. It keeps getting worse to the point it’s like watching cartoons with sports reporting but imo that’s where it started

I didn't actually see today's game but by looking at the box score I'm half tempted to post in row's always something new to see thread, the bullpen actually did their job!
-
Most people just think Niagara Falls when they hear Buffalo but it’s a charming place otherwise

Ralph Kramden/Ed Norton

^^^ This and come up with a new role "pitching strategist". Still to be determined if this guy is actually going to be in uniform. Sounds like more just management pushing d-baggy analytics with this. Ultimately I just feel you can't polish a turd

Good job with the link. I thought it might have been a troll job at first ?

Lenny Dykstra can still make news.

Great ball player in his day. I’d put him after only Mel Hall though as the worst person who played in the MLB in my lifetime -

At 8:30 Joe Benigno's take on Diaz's "save" Saturday night. Too funny!!! What the hell are you laughing about?? You blew it again!!!

Tying knots in a balloon -
Probably my favorite episode of that series. So your dad sold women's shoes then? ?
-
Jack Arnold was definitely the most real TV father to me. The father on The Goldbergs is pretty good as well. Dr. Seaver from Growing Pains was decent.

There simple? Actually speaking of which their vs there and to vs too I still have trouble with -
I still have trouble distinguishing between the star and pound sign on a phone. Especially when told verbally. Clockwise vs counter clockwise throws me too using a screwdriver for tightening/loosening.

In the Atlantic League locally the Somerset Patriots have started or are going to start automated balls and strikes. I might be wrong but I believe MLB wants to see how its going to work out and if that's something they want to pursue. https://www.mycentraljersey.com/story/sports/baseball/patriots/2019/05/16/somerset-patriots-nj-test-mlb-new-automated-umpiring-system/3669083002/ What are your thoughts on it? On the one hand it should I reiterate should give a fair ball and strike zone. On the other hand more and more of the human element is taken from the game. I'd be more in favor of somehow tracking fair versus foul balls. Though Santana may not have gotten the 1st and only Mets no hitter.
-
Yeah the critiques of Mickey and how he uses the bullpen are fair. At the same time though is that Mickey's fault Diaz can't close out games? Is that too much to ask of him. I mean that's why he got signed as this superior closer. I mean I suppose you can make an argument as well Familia shouldn't have pitched in the 7th. At the same time though is that too much to ask from him to hold a 1 run lead? Frustrating.

Speaking of jerks, I think I dislike this guy more than Rocker. I’m loathe to use the word hate like he does below: https://sports.yahoo.com/once-again-chase-utley-confirms-141544672.html?bcmt=1 Utley admits he hates the Mets. I mean someone like Chipper Jones I kinda could respect. At least he never broke someone’s leg
-
I guess the Blues if I had to pick. The return of the whammy on Press Your Luck on abc excites me more ?
-
Speaking of Rocker, the guy Jeff Pearlman who did that article on him back when for Sports Illustrated wrote this book: https://www.amazon.com/Bad-Guys-Won-Championship-Uniform/dp/0062097636 Imo as with the Rocker article he’s a little on the sensationalism side. Still it’s a decent read. Recommended for all Mets fans over the age of 18 ?
