Is McBean trying to pull a Cashman Move?
MiltonWaddams replied to Kmart128's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The sad fact of the matter is that you were comparing the New York Yankees to the Buffalo Bills and that is not a fair comparison. The Yankees are a storied franchise with a history of winning. The Buffalo Bills, however, are a sad sack franchise with a history of losing. There was rationale for Chapman to return to the Yankees. Why would Sammy ever want to come back to Buffalo? -
I know just the man for the job. The Upton job I mean.
-
I love Kate Upton. I may be sufficiently endowed to entice her, but her husband surely does not want to part with her. This is a solid analogy for this situation.
-
All a matterof cost. I love Darnold and Baker, but the two firsts are too high a cost for the number of holes needed to fill with quality players. But man would I love to see one of them in a Bills uniform in 2018.

Hypothetically if Giants release Manning
MiltonWaddams replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell no. Tre should in no way be included in any trade offer, never mind one for an aged QB who hasn't done anything in 4 seasons. I liked Eli fine, but he is not the answer for the Bills. Inject the youth. Darnold, Rosen or Baker. Other than that build the lines and gamble on a 3rd round QB and Peterman. If Mason is there in the second, he should be considered. -
"But,but....I'm a superhuman...."

Although you are, very sadly, absolutely correct and I see the need for at least one high draft pick to grab that QB, I have long ago reconciled myself to the fact that we chher for mediocrity as well as anyone. The advantage is that at 8-8, we will still have a huge opportunity to draft two studs at positions of need that will come into a far better locker room than the poor saps that walk into Cleveland and New York next year. I must find solace somewhere....

The hit heard round the world
MiltonWaddams replied to KW95 - JA17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a difficult thing to reconcile in ones mind; being a Bills fan and not liking OJ. Can one be a huge fan of the player and despise the man? -
What are you on about? There hasn't been even the slightest mention of race on this thread. You bringing it up makes you look like the biggest troll. If mentioning a QB's low passing yards is indicative of bigotry or racism, I really have no idea where this world is going. Maybe it's you that has the issue? Perhaps you see a low passing yard QB and make assumptions. Get a clue man.

100%. I am not blaming much on a few key players on O. The offense has been designed against a lot of strengths that exist. The line has been horrible, but so much of that comes down to the blocking scheme. The right side is a tire fire regardless, but the talent across the line is equal or greater than that of NE and their staff has adjusted their scheme to play so much better than the Bills. I hate repeatedly changing Coordinators, but the entire offensive side needs to go at season end. Evaluate that McD
-
So, is it that McD is admitting he was wrong or that he's too scared to lose the team or that he's just to weak to stand up to his decision? it was a lose-lose decision no matter what.

The continued issues with Glenn's ankle are very problematic in that it means Dawkins gets less and less work on the right side of the line, where he is most needed and should be long-term if the plan is to keep Glenn. Man, our lines are bad. IR is more likely as no way they cut him. McD likes his vet leaders and Tolbert fits the bill. Unfortunately, he's ill-suited to his role. The redundancy of DiMarco/Tolbert is astounding.

In preparation for the heartache associated the next 6 weeks (and really every Bills season), I am skipping this weeks game to go and adopt a dog. I will, as any good fan should, PVR the game and watch it when I return. At that time, I am hoping not to bathe this poor new dog in tears. He will assuredly be a great companion and will offer more solace than my wife after the inevitable playoff elimination. Go Bills?

More Changes Coming to the Bills' DL?
MiltonWaddams replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched Marsh out here in Seattle. I think he's best fit as a 3-4 LB. He didn't overwhelm anyone on the pass rush, but covered ground quite well and came up well in the run defense. I thought back about his time in Seattle today when I saw he was cut and decided I just liked his name really. -

We could be so lucky to have him turn into DaMonster. Talk about not living up to a nickname.... -
Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
MiltonWaddams replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are 100% correct. Fans that are surprised must not have been watching the season. So many confounding transactions, lineups and play calls. We have no choice but to follow the process other than quit being fans (but you're reading this so you won't), but trusting the process has gotten downright impossible over the last three weeks. -

What's the over/under for how many days of evaluation McD takes? Will we know tomorrow or Thursday. If it's later, it seems ridiculous -
CJ Anderson potential FA target for 2018?

Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?

Our terrible truth. When a 5th round QB who just set the NFL record for ints in a half can be easily, and most accurately, described as the correct choice to start. I'd rather see Tyrod as I got the sense that he was the far superior player last week and that isn't going to change quickly. However, Peterman is the better choice for the future of this franchise. -
Travaris Cadet for RB2 (update - dislocated ankle)
MiltonWaddams replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never want to see DiMarco as the target on a passing play again, but he can be a very good run blocker and pass protector.
