  1. Last years playoff team was far superior offensively than this years. I wouldn't automatically assume the effort yesterday would have led to the same result last year
  2. I'm almost wondering if it is better to move on from Morse and just give the Center to Bates. Also I would sign Boettger. As far as the rest give me Cole for another year with him being in the offensive scheme. Yes to Klein, Phillips, Lawson and Marlowe but no one else.
  3. Not what I was saying as all. It wasn't they weren't in the mood. They were flat out done. You notice how few people talked to the media at the end of the year. Josh was done
  4. Micah Hyde and Roger Saffold both said today they just felt the team “ran out of gas” with everything that went on this season. Micah even said he was speaking from an outside observer, watching them go through it all as he wasn’t playing. Both made it clear it was not an excuse. Saffold: It was emotionally draining. I kinda feel like we were tired. Guys were exhausted during the week and our coaches did the best they could at trying to modify the week to get us back to snuff.… Two people one that wasn't even playing disagree. I know they get paid a lot and all but still they are human. Wish people would see the optimism for next year. No other team even came close to the drama and I bet some posting on here would fold under much less pressure.
  5. Upgrading talent on the O line would be helpful but I think a playmaker that cares about winning as much as Josh would be nice. Would Bijan Robinson be that player....
  6. Interesting take. What if the coach is maxed too? I'm trying to ride the fine line of excuses and understanding but I think this team was done and when Josh looks like that before a game, we aren't going to win.
  7. Wrs weren't the issue, our line was. And Dawkins sounded bad trying to defend himself
  8. Again no excuses. They lost and they deserved to lose. They didn't play with passion. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that locker room last week. I bet it just wasn't a focused Josh which generally brings up others around him. He got shook in Cincy if not before and the team other than Hines against the Patriots didn't show they wanted to play. I honestly believe the best thing for them this offseason is a mental reset. No excuses just optimism for the future
  9. I think the only one I would think would be considered is the D line coach. Only reason we are talking about this is both sides of the football sucked against the Bengals. The defense at least had a decent excuse being without our two main leaders in Miller and Hyde.
  10. Don't misunderstand what I said. They didn't decide it was too much. I honestly believe they played their hearts out but I think they were emotionally spent. Might not be something you understand but this team has lived off of passion and yesterday they died because of lack of it.
  11. Tre White will be back to normal next year. With back peddling and turning he needed extra time to recover but he came back and played even though he wasn't 100% It was interesting to see how important Daquan was to this line. Absolutely love his signing. Also missing Von Miller and a hobbled Phillips didn't help but those darn backups have got to be better. I think it's time to move on from Epenesa or get a dline coach that can unlock his talent because he has shown flashes.
  12. The more I think about it the Bills players wanted to put this year behind them. Did they play less than their best? Absolutely not. But for a team that has faced so much between a missed Christmas, Dawson's brother passing away, to the Tops shooting, to Damar, to Hyde their defensive leader being out this year, to Dane's potential career ender, to Von Miller the other defensive leader being out, to playing 10 away games, to always playing short in the defensive secondary (no Poyer and Hyde for multiple games along with playing rookies at DB), to even Josh's shoulder injury. I would say they were emotionally spent. Could they have beat Jacksonville this week? Maybe but I'll tell you as a fan there is some sort of relief that they finally get to lick their wounds and heal. They are absolutely done. The Marv Levy quote states this year perfectly "Fight on, my men, Sir Andrew said. I am hurt, but I am not slain. I'll lay me down and bleed a while, And then I'll rise and fight again." Let's get behind them next year for the best is yet to come. They get 13-3 this year with all this going on, they will be better for it next year.
  13. Let's just get rid of the play clock as it doesn't matter what it says
  14. Well looking back they definitely would have scored if we missed the FG or didn't get a first down. Neither was easy. If we were 5 yards closer it would have been a harder call
  15. I think the NFC definitely got better this year. 49ers, Eagles and even Cowboys matchup well with the top 3 of the AFC.
  16. This is a statement game. Bills have something to prove and they will show up
  17. You ain't kidding. Can't believe how many plays had to be redone because so many late whistles in the Bills game, whether timeout or penalties. Don't get me started on why they continue to maintain the 0 seconds on the clock no delay of game. Refs are getting worse
  18. Hodgins isn't nearly as good as Gabe Davis and he isn't going to take snaps from Diggs. He also isn't the type of player to replace Mckenzies skill talent. I like the dude but he has many more opportunities with the Giants.
  19. I'm good with that. Make them one dimensional
  20. It's RB2 but I think the LT is in there
  21. Dumb call. Extremely uncatchable and probably not even to him
