  1. I saw the D swarm to the ball. 4 ... 5... 6 guys, hustling. There were very few missed tackles or missed assignments and when they swarm, one mistake won't kill you anyway because another guy is there ... and another. Do all that and you get a D that doesn't need a complex scheme. No Rex, no Rob Last year = 493 yards and 28 first downs. I'll take simple, football hustle over trickeration, any day.
  2. 11 1st downs, 2.5 yards per rush and 4.4 yards per pass. Hard to complain about.
  3. By my count, we had 10 'big plays' (run of 10 yards or more or pass of 25 yards or more). Jets had 1.
  4. He keeps playing like this & I'll take Poyer any and every day over Aaron Williams or for that matter, Byrd. A great addition to the team. $2.475 mill. Wow.
  5. They had 38 yards rushing. We won. Last year, with Dareus (game 2), they had 127 yards and he had 4 tackles. We were whupped, 30-10. This year, let's try something different and only keep track of one stat. The score.
  6. They play at the Saints next week. I hope Brees lays 50 on them, which should be barely enough.
  7. Looks like loading up on former Bills players may not be the correct path to success.
  8. They beat us 2x last year, so any win beyond 3 points would be a surprise.
  9. He's starting, so I think reports of his imminent demise would seem to be premature.
  10. Pick 6 and a safety. In spite of the Taylor led Bills total offense of 57 yards, Bills win 9-0.
  11. At this point, why would any college stats have any relevance? He gets a very catchable ball out on time and is not patting the ball until it burps. On this team, with the players on hand, he's my starter and it isn't even close.
  12. I'm glad Richardson is gone and out of the AFC. Improves our chances. He was a very bad man.
  13. We've only given Tyrod 2 years. He needs 6 or 8 more. It's only fair, with 'because' as the clear reason. Given enough time, along with unlimited resources, it will be proven that Rex sure can come close to picking 'em.
  14. Osweiler is one of those few guys that manages to be in the right place at the right time. Made a big pile of money with thimbleful of talent.
  15. You're right. That's quite an onion. Probably be easier if one of their names was hyphenated. Beane would probably not only cut a hypher, I bet he'd ship him to France or maybe even Canada.
  16. I have a tough time figuring out who is even in on any given play, let alone trying to figure out who did what. I do know that Miller's name is easier to spell and does not sound French. That alone gives alone gives him a big edge in both football and beer.
  17. I think McDermott plays the starters for the 1st quarter as a demonstration of his 'adjust to circumstances' philosophy. After that, puts in the new guy/pulls starters.
  18. Which would put him comfortably ahead of Henderson, Ola, Mills & Jefferson. Just needs some pants.
  19. Surprise or not, I hope Henderson gets the boot. Worthless since Day 1 and that was a lot of days ago.
