The arm is still the tool, the will and skill are the talent. The point is it takes more than a strong arm to dial it in. Allen had a very below average career in a very average conference. Do you guys really believe he is one of the better football players in this class?????

What is arm talent? Is it the ability to just zip it in there through a knothole without touching the sides when it's all on the line ? No, that is wizardry, jedi I can do anything at any moment, especially if everything is on the line talent. The arm is one of the tools, not the talent.

"Rudolph makes safe decisions and throws the ball out of bounds where Jackson finds a play"...... but somehow Rudolph completes 65% of his passes for 10 yds/att while Jackson completes 59% for 8.5/att. Rudolph throws 2 more air yds/att as well and is far more efficient. They account for the same amount of tds as Jackson evens it out with his legs but how long can he do that in the pros? He is so multidimensional and uniquely talented it is hard to predict, but with his frame and style I think he will have to run a lot less.

If it is very ordinary to be 6'5' 235 lbs. and be one of the most prolific passers in college history, then yes he is ordinary. Rudolph threw for about as many yds and tds in a single season as Peterman did in his entire career. Rudolph is 3 inches taller with a bigger frame, was top 5 in almost statistical category, and is 11th all time in career passing yds. He has also improved every year in every category. Other than their purported noodle arms I don't see a comparison. Obviously I have no idea if Rudolph will be a success, but I don't see a can't miss qb out there. I think they all have ? marks and are just potential still. The way people believe wholeheartedly in someone and completely dismiss others with such certainty is laughable.

Last year Rudolph passed for 4900 yds. in 13 games and accounted for 47 tds, threw 9 int. , comp 65%, gained 10 yd. per attempt, and was 3rd in passing efficiency, 4th in total qbr. He is also 6'5" 230 lbs. They say he throws a great deep ball and has good 'football smarts'. I haven't seen him play very much but I would think unless he has an uncorrectable flaw that this guy is an extremely elite prospect.

I have to say that Rudolph's measured improvement every year in college is impressive. Not sure about his arm strength but it doesn't show up in his int. or yd per att. Now consider this , against power 5 opp. the last 2 years Date Opponent Pass Completion Passing Yards Touchdowns Interceptions Sept. 16 2017 Oregon 9-of-24 64 0 1 Sept. 2 2017 Iowa 23-of-40 174 0 2 Sept. 10 2016 Nebraska 16-of-32 189 1 5 48 of 96 for 436 yds. 1 td and 8 int. in his only 3 games against power 5 competition. None of those teams were top teams those years.

Agree, if he is gonna make it he will need to be groomed for a couple years. One GM claimed his football knowledge was not even close to where it will need to be at the next level. A long ways off is how he put it.

His receivers were not so great, but neither were the dbs covering them. The real issue is that he does not throw with any anticipation, sound familiar?

That reason can be accounted for by two words. Prototypical and potential.

Wentz had a far more accurate, efficient and productive college career. The level of competition was the question mark. Allen has had a below average career at a mediocre school playing mediocre competition. The fact that they are both big and have strong arms is about the only thing they have in common. Wentz's success is really stoking the Allen hype train. Allen"s comp % was 95th out of 125 qbs ! Yds per att. of 6.7 was 94th! By those important metrics he was a terrible qb. I sure hope the Bills don't fall for it.

Granted, there are a lot of variables, but the hype machine is way out of control imo. The guy is big and can really chuck the ball. Other than that he has shown nothing. Last year with a better team his comp % was worse than this year. If you are only getting 6.7 yds. per att. your comp % better be a lot higher than 56%.

Really hoping the Dolphins get stuck with his cap hit. Landry's 16 and the oft injured Quinn's $11million hits will severely limit their options going forward, as they are already in the red.

I think he is a sure thing, highly doubt he makes it to 21 and probably goes top 10.

Bills really need lbs. I expect them to pick one in the first 2 rounds.

Was about to post that and then watched Griffin go 4.38. Carter time at 250lbs is incredible.

I cannot imagine anyone paying Landry over $16 million let alone trading away assets for that 'privilege'. I think when it is all said and done Miami will be stuck with that ridiculous cap hit.

One GM commented that Mayfield's football knowledge was off the charts, Rosen's Darnold's and Rudolph's were very good, but Allen and Jackson were a long way off.

I live in Eugene and met my wife at U of O 20 yrs ago. I think Freeman is going to be a good pro but I can guarantee you he will not run sub 4.4, more like 4.5. He has burst and power but not breakaway speed.

When I was little my friends dad used to bring Canadian bacon back. Just tasted like ham to me. Molson Brador was my favorite food smuggled out of Canada. It was too strong to buy in the states then. My mom loved Mackintosh toffee. Every trip to Crystal Beach she would bring home bags of it. We would freeze it and then slam it on the counter to break it into little pieces.

For me the Women's gold medal hockey game was epic. The finish to the ladies cross country relay was incredible as well. Those are two memorable moments that come to mind. I wish I could unsee and hear that horrible singing and dancing from tonight though. A shame he wasn't the bearer, such a shining example of good sportsmanship.
