  1. It's pretty obvious to anyone other than SaviorPeterman/BurpleBull/BullBuchanon (all clearly the same poster) that Allen is starting week 1... I've been saying it since OTAs, actually. But I think McDermott is going to withhold it publicly as long as possible to try to get some upper hand on Baltimore. Remember... practices are now basically closed to the media. No need to name the starter as long as McDermott is giving reps to Allen in practice.
  2. BurpleBull and BullBuchanon, too... but all 3 are probably just the same poster... So good point!
  3. Here's an interesting (and accurate...?) theory that Sal Capaccio actually found...
  4. He did but I don't know if that was planned or because of McCarron's injury. When he's the starter next Sunday in game 3, that'll be different.
  5. Yeah all the interviews today were indicators the competition is ongoing... not finished despite some wacky theories that Friday's game cemented Peterman as the starter already. They're likely to "rotate" as the media is there, but since all practices and 11 on 11s are now closed to the media, I also think McDermott might be using that to his advantage as far as the element of surprise for week 1. I bet Allen gets his first team reps for the first time next Sunday. I'll be curious if McDermott holds out in naming the starter beyond that.
  6. Window into my reality, huh? What reality do you think that is? I bet you're wrong. The rest of that post makes no sense... so that means you're entire post makes no sense... Good talk, breh (hint, hint... )
  7. Adequate? I won't even quibble with whether I agree or disagree about the other stuff--or the very use of the phrase "I seen" in any context-- but implying adequate is anything we'd be fine with at QB after pushing at-least-adequate out the door in the offseason in order to upgrade on at-least-adequate is very strange logic.
  8. Don't forget his stupid decision to try throwing the football 2 yards beyond the LOS and getting a penalty that results in loss of down (But no incomplete pass to hurt those stats!!!) with a 3rd and massively long. Or the next stupid decision on the very next play on 3rd and long to scramble for 3 yards rather than trying to throw for the 1st down. No incomplete pass there, either, plus 3 yards in the positive on the ground for his rushing stats... PUNT. A 3 & out drive that consisted of 1 incomplete pass (the awful sideline one that shoulda been picked) and 3 rushing yards despite the fact that the reality there is that Peterman was AWFUL.
  9. What false reality? Is this a joke? I'm going to pretend I'm you... this is how stats lie: Brah, Peterman completed 80% of his pass attempts (double digit pass attempts, too!!!) and averaged 11.3 YPA all while throwing for a TD and NO PICKS!!! And he was only sacked once!!! His passer rating was off the charts!!! 147.1!!! That's the false reality Peterman's stats reflect, and if you think those stats are an accurate reflection of how good he was or what McDermott actually is weighing in his evaluation, you don't know football.
  10. Not insecure. Not fighting. Talking. And FWIW... I never used the word "scrub" for Peterman... you did... BurpleBull and Bullbuchanon are watching
  11. My anti-Nate narrative is that he's too weak-armed to be an NFL starting QB. If Peterman and Allen were exactly as they are but Peterman also had Allen's arm strength... But Peterman's arm strength is just so bad that it's to the point of being debilitating to the team.
  12. 24 vs 27??? Okay... Allen is 22 vs 24, and he's already better than the 24 year old who has a year on him in the NFL. Peterman's stats are are a fantastic example of why stats lie. His arm strength hasn't significantly improved, if it's improved at all, over last year. Without an absolutely dominant OL, Peterman will end up just getting eaten alive. He's generally done what he's been asked to do, but he's not being asked to do much at all, whereas level of difficulty for Allen has been higher and he's been successful.
  13. Ah, my mistake. It's a thread about Peterman so that's the reason for that misread... and a misread it was. Nonetheless, the fact that Peterman simply can't make all the NFL throws is exactly why I think he's a backup.
  14. You're delusional. Peterman's 1st pass last night cemented the very fact that Peterman can NOT make all the NFL throws against NFL defenders.
  15. We're going to start the guy we need to get ready for week 1... Allen... been sayin it since OTAs
  16. Mayfield was my #1 choice in the draft. That said, I'm glad we didn't get him. He might develop into being great but I think people who wanted Taylor gone are looking for validation and will grasp at just about anything they can for it. The problem is Mayfield's performance last night looked like the same fool's gold performance Peterman's was. Both guys starting out Not Good or Awful and then starting to play well when all the guys who aren't going to be playing in the NFL came out onto the field. Mayfield will probably develop and become a Franchise QB (unlike Peterman), but it already looks like Allen is pretty well ahead of him. Is Mayfield ahead of Taylor? Is this question coming up because of what Taylor did against our 1st string Defense alone last night and what Mayfield did against our 3rd and 4th string Defense? I'm guessing that's the case. It's a strange case to make. I've been pretty disappointed in Mayfield actually, but it could be because I legitimately had high expectations and thought he'd be the best of the bunch. Regardless, he hasn't looked like the #1 overall pick or even a surefire 1st round QB to me so far. So happy Allen fell to 7 right now
  17. Well... he outperformed him yesterday and although Peterman played well against Carolina, he wasn't challenging the D in the way Allen was. And by the way, shouldn't this criteria be the same in reverse? Peterman hasn't been consistently outperforming anyone in camp... Why do you want to give him a free lunch? Is it a bagged lunch you're used to packing him? Was I mistaken earlier... you're his Mom, not his wife?
  18. Prediction: Nate Peterman will be Bills Backup QB week 1 vs Ravens
  19. Holy crap... I didn't realize this was going to deteriorate into the realm of Infowars vs. CNN. I'm just excited about Allen and, living in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, get very very little Bills coverage out here so it bodes well for my viewing habits personally for Allen to start getting this national buzz. But it's not just media, respected film guys, too
  20. So... troll...??? Blind homer...? I'm having such a hard time figuring it out. I just wonder if you're even going to cheer for Allen when he's the starting QB this year.
  21. And you are evidently Nate Peterman's wife. You called Peterman's performance "near perfect" and that is factually incorrect to the point of being laughable. His first 2 drives he looked absolutely lost the entire time--all 6 plays since it was 2 straight 3 & outs. 1st pass shoulda been yet another pick. Next play sacked. 3 & out Next pass was simply a badly inaccurate pass. Next play he tries passing the ball 2 yards past the LOS as he's running towards the sidelines. Next play he believes he's some uber athletic QB and ends up scrambling on a 3rd and 13. That's how he started. No matter what follows that, anyone who calls his play "near perfect" after a start like that is either a blind homer or a troll.
  22. Evidently you missed his 1st 2 drives (that 1st pass alone was a doozy... typically Peterman though) and weren't paying attention to the busted coverages he was a beneficiary of when he was playing against scrubs.
