Loving this show. Only on season 1, but it's a show both my wife and I love, which is a bonus because I get into a lot of shows that she just doesn't care for like Mindhunter. Eugene Levy's been such a great character actor going all the way back to Splash in the 80s. -
Where's the wedding? Me and my fellow Bills fan Norm will be at Applebee's at Ka Makana Ali'i... the new Mall in Kapolei. We used to watch at the Chili's in Kapolei for years, but the bartender has been an escalating dick over the last couple years. Not a ton of people at Applebee's, but they turn the TV up so we can hear it as we sit at the bar. Come join us if you're this side of the island

2019 Playoffs. 1st round
transplantbillsfan replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still think the Bills get to at least 10 wins and get in as the 5 seed. -
Part of this is just a coaching problem, plain and simple. McDermott coaches conservative. I would love for his comments today to his team about "play(ing) fearless" to be an indicator of some serious systemic changes on offense, but I'm fearFUL it won't be.

Message from McDermott to team: “Play Fearless”

It's one thing for McDermott to say that, but it's another thing for him to coach it. Guess we'll see. -
10 decision coins: Josh Allen
transplantbillsfan replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Time to start spending your coins?????? Dude. Allen has this year and most of next year AT THE VERY LEAST. If he's awful to end this year and moving into next year, I could see him getting benched midseason next year, but not before that. And that's absolutely worst case scenario. But he hasn't been awful. So can we pump the brakes here. This has been said time and time and time again, but Allen was a very raw prospect coming out of college. His play through his first 20 games has exceeded expectations, if everyone's being honest. If he's an absolute train wreck in these last 7 games, let's talk then, but even then he'll still start next season to begin the year. -
ROCKPILE REIVEW - The Bills Don't Have Quite Enough
transplantbillsfan replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shaw your comments on Duke Williams I think are important. Anyone watching the game last night could see the importance of big WRs with good hands. Allen isn't remotely as good as Russell Wilson, but you could just see the significance of DK Metcalf for Wilson, even if he didn't come down with every ball. And how about Josh Gordon? That late game critical 3rd down conversion to Gordon was a thing of beauty. And it wasn't even a perfect pass by any means for Wilson; it was pretty low, but Gordon reached out and snatched it and didn't even break stride. Now Duke isn't as fast as those 2 guys, obviously. But this speed thing isn't working for Daboll's offense. If he wants to keep the jet sweeps in the offense for the misdirection he seems to like, then keep EITHER Foster or McKenzie active and use them, not both. I don't know why we can't use Roberts for those, actually. McKenzie and Roberts both in the WR corps is redundant to me. I don't think Duke becomes a number 1 WR for this team, but it's becoming pretty clear Allen needs a big WR who can go ***** the football. Plus, he's proven he can run block. -

How's he been in run defense? -

Our MLB has been a bit of a disappointment. Wouldn't hurt picking up another. -
Put this in another thread but I think it's a worthwhile discussion as a thread of its own. The Bills had the ball for just over 28 minutes in terms of time of possession yesterday. There were two drives the end each half. Those two drives took up about 5 minutes, about 17% of the entire time the offense had the football. Josh Allen's stats on those 2 drives: 9/17 for 165 yards (9.7 YPA) Josh Allen's stats the rest of the game: 13/24 for 101 yards (4.2 YPA) Allen and the Bills were also 3/5 (60%) on 3rd down conversions on those 2 drives whereas their 3rd down conversion % for the entire game was 38% so obviously taking out those 5 drives would drop that % even more. So what happened on those 2 drives that we aren't able to replicate for the rest of the game?

And part OL and part WRs and part TEs and part RBs. But Daboll holds the Lion's share of the blame.

On to the Fish

No game in the NFL is a gimme. This year is really proving that. Saints lost to the Falcons. Chiefs with Mahomes lost to the Titans. Anything can and will happen. The way this team has been playing, I can't confidently say which games they win and lose, though I will say that I posted right before the Eagles and Browns games I didn't feel good about them. -
What Was The Worst Thing About Today's Loss?
transplantbillsfan replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Coaching overall. Daboll. Frazier. And today I realized McDermott might not be the guy, either. He finishes the year obviously and gets the off-season, but right now I could see him being the first coach fired next year. Hope he turns it around. -
He's a young raw QB who has tons of legitimate raw talent and who has actually flashed that talent in his young NFL career. He's not EJ or Taylor who you guys are bangin me on here for. EJ and Tyrod had a lot of good coaching in their college (EJ) and NFL (Tyrod) careers. Neither had Allen's talent. Look, the story has been told time and time again with Allen. If you don't know it, look it up. So yes, I put more on Daboll and McDermott because I think they're coaching Allen to play scared for the sake of winning now. And I know you can't have it both ways, but there's a certain uber conservative line that I believe they've crossed where they're hurting both the development of our young QB as well as the team. Let me ask you something relating to our (I believe) poor offensive play caller: We're you content that Singletary only got 8 touches today?
-
Okay bro. Have your fun.
-
He has blame. Daboll and the coaching staff have more.
-
Now you're being obstinate. Obviously I was wrong there. Allen is not an mvp candidate and I've already said whenever @Foxx and @GunnerBill are ready to accept my concession he's also clearly not making the pro bowl as a 1st pick. Allen isn't Mahomes. He isn't Watson. Can he ever get there? Don't know, but the problem is Watson was pretty much already there straight outta college and Mahomes had Reid, the bench, and Alex Smith to learn under. Completely admit my entire premise of Allen taking a huge step was because he'd be in the same offensive system and I thought Daboll might be the next genius in waitin. Whiffed there. Now I just hope Daboll doesn't ruin him.
