You're thinking air yards. Allen threw the ball, on average, farther than any other QB on average last year. I think it was like 11 yards per throw or something, which was a full yard more than the next highest QB. But he wasn't completing a bunch of those, which was why his YPA--which is a simple formula of total yards divided by total pass attempts--was lower. Yes. After his first 4 games, his stats have dramatically improved. It'd be a curious exercise to see where Allen ranks as a passer across the NFL if you just took every QB's last 6 games.

This comparison, I realize, is as Rodgers and Cousins are finishing up their battle with now just2 minutes remaining... in most cases statistically those 2 are set in stone ahead or behind Allen... and honestl, with Allen probably resting week 17, this moment should've a good snapshot for fans of his improvements or lack thereof: QB Passing attempts 2018: 30th 2019 : 18th QB passing yards per game minimum 150 attempts 2018: 35th 2019: 29th QB Passing TDs 2018: 32nd 2019: 18th (TIE with Carr & Tannehill) QB TD % 2018: 31st 2019: 18th (TIE with Ryan & Darnold) QB INT % 2018: 32nd 2019: 16th (TIE with Murray & Prescott) QB Completion % 2018: 33rd 2019: 32nd (6% higher than last yea, though) QB YPA 2018: 32nd 2019: 25th (TIED with Kyle Allen & Murray) QB ANY/A 2018: 32nd 2019: 22nd Sack % 2018: 26th 2019: 20th QB Passer Rating 2018: 32nd 2019: 22nd Those are just his passing stats of course. No, he did not pop into the top half or top 10 of the league. As I know many are aware, I thought he would. I was wrong and can accept that. Already have a couple bets I'll pay up on. But we've clearly seen some legitimate improvements in Allen as a passer this offseason. I don't know how anyone could argue against that. Aside from rankings, the raw improvements individually for him are striking--he may have only gone from 33 to 27th in completion percentage, but going from 52.8% to 61.5% is a huge jump. And there's also, of course, his running stats compared with other QBs QB rushing yards 2018: 2nd 2019: 3rd QB rushing TDs 2018: 1st 2019: 1st QB Total TDs 2018: 25th 2019: 5th ( TIE with Prescott)

John Brown is leading the AFC in receiving
transplantbillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From Fairburn in The Athletic: Stats that matter 78.6 That’s the percentage of John Brown’s reception that have resulted in a first down. Of players who have at least two catches per game, that ranks ninth in the NFL. Brown may not be the prototypical No. 1 receiver, but he’s producing like one this season. If he keeps performing at this pace, he has a chance to best Eric Moulds’ single-season franchise record of 1,368 receiving yards. With 817 yards through 10 games, Brown should at least become Buffalo’s first 1,200-yard receiver since Lee Evans in 2006. Sunday was Brown’s best game yet, as he put up 137 yards and two touchdowns. -

Week 12: Broncos at Bills

This!!! I was so damn frustrated against the Browns that we weren't blitzing Mayfield. Glad Frazier flipped that against Miami. I hope that keeps up. Our front 4 just aren't good enough to consistently get pressure on the QB... and I think it's time to switch Lawson in for Murphy in the starting lineup. -
3-7 Broncos in turmoil
transplantbillsfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well... players sure seem to be playing hard for him. I can't even call Sunday a trap game because the Broncos are a lot better than their 3-7 record. -

Yes. He's earned it. -
Can the Detractors Now Admit Allen's Growth?
transplantbillsfan replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes I completely agree, but if the effect of reeling him in a little bit over the 1st half of the season to then unleash him in the 2nd half hoping some of the underlying value of protecting the football remains ingrained in him, I'm good with it. But need to see if this continues. -
Can the Detractors Now Admit Allen's Growth?

It's not just today, though. In the last 6 games since the NE game Allen has 10 passing TDs, 1 INT along with 4 rushing TDs and 1 lost fumble. So in 6 games, Allen has accounted for 14 TDs and 2 Turnovers. -

We can only hope... GO BILLS!!! -
Sounds like you created the video. Considering the number of views and you posting it here... that makes sense.

Just checking in to see if posters are acting absolutely insane over here as they rabidly and blindly defend Trump... Senate won't vote to impeach him because they're spineless. But at least the American people vote him out of office in less than a year and we all get to see @Deranged Rhino with some new avatar for the ensuing year... Maybe this one... who knows?
-
That link is for last year. We are talking about Allen and his improvement this year. That video you posted is joke. Watch the games.

Holy crap whoever made that video is SUCH A TROLL!!! Those aren't highlights. It's pitiful you posted that. It's even worse if you're the one that made it.

Are these comments from this past week or earlier in the season? I don't see his name listed on the latest episode and I really don't feel like going in and listening to stuff that doesn't interest me. And that answers my question
