  1. The golf analogy is a good one. He should continue to fine tune his throwing to keep it sharp. And continue learning how to read and manipulate defenses. Brady/Manning are good role models here. As much as Josh's angry runs are amazing and inspiring to watch. As he heads in to year 5 he has to start saving the high risk contact for high leverage situations. One bad hit to that shoulder, and it's over.
  2. I don't think Mitch walks in anywhere as the default starter. My guess is he chooses from teams that offer him a chance to compete for it.
  3. The record will likely be worse IMO. The future is wide open. I can't remember the last time it felt like the coach/GM had a plan. These guys obviously have a plan. Will it work is another story.
  4. Last year was a feel good story for Bills fans breaking the drought. But that 5-2 start was a mirage. Somehow they were +14 in turnovers, and they won games they probably shouldn't have. The rest of the season they went 4-5 once the turnover machine went away. This will be year 2 of what I think is a 3 year rebuild (if they are sucessful). They've tossed the Whaley trash to the curb and will have a lot of cap space next year. The next 2 drafts will be epically important. This year? Meh. I think 8-8 would be a good season.
  5. I was going to say this. But I was too scared.
  6. The overwhelming consensus at the time seemed to be that Buffalo was a ****ty place to work with Marrone around.
  7. The Idea of Marrone in a Super Bowl tightens my colon. There are no winners for me in this equation. I hate the Pats. !@#$ Marrone.
  8. He'll likely get next year to prove himself to JAX. His cap hit for 2018 is about $10M. But they only save about $2M if they cut him. In 2019 they can get out with no cap hit. If he plays to his ability and stays out of trouble, he's probably worth it to them thanks to the huge bonus the Bills had to eat...
  9. Hey man. It's cool. You win. Wait. Marrone is long gone from here. I guess I win! Because that all I wanted.
  10. Their strength of schedule was 31st. They won 10 games. The Bills strength of schedule was 5th. They won 9 games.
  11. Moral of the story: Coach in the AFC South, not the AFC East. Marrone lucked into great defenses that he had no part in building, and his specialty, offense? Meh....
  12. But he asks them in a passive aggressive way that makes my skin crawl.
  13. Good post. Totally agree. Russ Brandon was the man behind hiring Marrone. Whaley buit a top 5 defense while "Offensive Guru" Marrone's offense was one of the worst in the league for 2 years. The Pagula's fell in love with Rex, and hired him based on his bravado. No way Whaley hires him IMO. Whaley turns the offense into top 12 scoring offense, while "Defensive Guru" Ryan destroys a top 5 defense. It was time for Whaley to go. But there's no way the disfunction during his tenure falls exclusively on him. I wish him well.
  14. I realllllllllllllly want to see Douggy hang his head in sorrow next Sunday. His success this year (in a weak division) has really pissed me off!!!!!
