  8. OK, crafters, What is it you like to do? Birdhouses, needlepoint, chainsaw sculpting, popular string art, welding crap together? Whatever it is, share it with us here. I like whittling and modeling miniature things (fairy houses, model railroad and such) and want to start making 'steampunk' curios from junk. My daughter is very crafty with those elastic bracelet weaving stuff, painting rocks, beads, and now knitting etc. she and friends set a table out front and sell their creations, and do pretty well. So... what you got.

  13. Just wondering who may be a collector of certain items . Other than my extensive collection of Bills related items, I collect pencils. I kinda got into them at a young age when my grandfather had a box of old and unique ones and let me look through them. I have and treasure them now and have been collecting ever since. Some are nearly 100 years old and very unique. I also have several old typewriters that I've acquired because of their sculptural artistic nature, Underwood, Royal, L.C Smith(Corona) etc. So, what does anyone collect? Let us know what your passion is, maybe someone can help fill a collection. I know this thread opens ample room for some less than serious replies, and that's OK

  17. Bills Make Kelly NFL's Highest-Paid Player August 19, 1986|Associated Press BUFFALO, N.Y. — Jim Kelly, record-setting passer in the United States Football League, became the highest-paid player in the National Football League Monday. The Buffalo Bills signed Kelly to a five-year contract that, according to Kelly's agents, is worth between $7.5 million and $8 million. The salary, about $1.5 million a year, is at least $200,000 more than quarterback Joe Montana's annual pay with the San Francisco 49ers. The Bills are hoping to receive instant credibility with fans after winning just 4 of their last 32 games and selling fewer than 20,000 season tickets for the second straight season. Different era. (BTW, Loved those big square shoulder blockers back then)
