  1. Why should the feds have had 500M masks on hand? Especially since the elastic can dry rot (and that was the initial problem with some of the stockpile). The ventilators, they all (state and feds) should have replaced when the old ones became obsolete (Obamacare made them so expensive, they were only produced here by two businesses prior to COVID-19). I am in awe of what has been done by the Feds to assist the states. From building a hospital in under a week, to retrofitting buildings for patients, to forcing supply chains that has been outsourced to other countries into the US. Nothing has been perfect. And, it is distressing that China did not inform the world about this virus. One thing is for certain... the United States cannot depend upon other countries for needed medical goods. I sincerely hope these are brought back to the US, even if the government needs to subsidize the business to make it happen.
  2. Well, I think sedition occurred. Let's see if Brennan, Comey, and friends are charged with it. My position has been explained on countless pages, in a number of threads. ? Anyone spouting "treason" against Trump or his administration is an ill-informed mouth breather unwilling to read the source documents that are in public domain. You should disengage.
  3. I would not discount this. I cannot imagine what this task force has had to deal with on the state level. They have been trying very hard to not embarrass any of the Governors, unless they have REALLY been stupid. Besides Hogan, I have only heard Pritzker being dumped on. Trump-Cuomo have been doing the love-hate thing since this started. Pretty much everyone else... even Jay Inslee, for goodness sake! Trump has praised/had nice words for. People really should listen to these pressers instead of getting their news through the filter of the "msm."
  4. Yeah, he got beat up pretty badly yesterday. First Trump, then the Admiral, then Pence steps in being all diplomatic. He must have been something on that call.
  5. I think that may have been why the Coronavirus task team gave out an inches-thick memorandum of 5,000 machines, including the NAZ+phone numbers for those labs, and maps on where the labs are located, to the Governors. There is far more out there than Quest.
  6. This was basically the entire presser yesterday, as well as what was discussed on yesterday's Governor's call. There is a lot of capacity. It just needs to be utilized.
  7. What in the world did they expect? They were fortunate it wasn't a "snitches get stitches" situation. </snip> Mayor Bill de Blasio’s critics let him know how they really felt about him ordering New Yorkers to snitch on each other for violating social-distancing rules — by flooding his new tip line with crank complaints including “dick pics” and people flipping the bird, The Post has learned. </snip>
  8. Funny, when this was first reported, it was poo-pooed as a lie. However, the tweets I saw earlier are now deleted. ? Deleted due to damage control? Or because it was not true?
  9. Wow, by all the You've chosen to ignore content by posts I am seeing, more than a few people are wee-wee-ed up about the coming #twoweeks.
  10. If the AG saw laws being broken, he has a duty to get involved, no? For instance, the drive-in churches in Mississippi. He saw it as a Constitutional right to worship being unfairly impinged by a Mayor. IOW, if you are allowed to go to a grocery store and stay 6' away from other patrons, why can't you go to an open church and stay 6' away from other worshipers? If you can sit in a vehicle in a long line for a food pantry pick-up, why can't you sit in a vehicle in a church parking lot? For all I know, that is what he will be looking at going forward. But, I really have no idea what Barr plans, what they see as gubernatorial overreach, or what laws the DOJ felt were broken.
  11. You would think the DNC apologists would quit while they are behind. This is quite well laid out. Not one person has to believe you, me, @Hedge, @Foxx, @B-Man, or anyone else that has been contributing (and following) these (intertwined) threads daily for years now. They simply have to read the material readily available to the general public. As more is declassified, read more. There will be indictments, they simply took a little longer than #twoweeks. Convictions? Who knows, that is up to the jury. I am more curious if there will be plea bargains and who ratted out who. This is better than any spy novel, and more unbelievable too! And yet, it happened.
  12. This started with CNN and WaPo reporting it, with NK denying it. The hard part is determining who is more trustworthy... CNN/WaPo or NK? ? That's a tough one.
  13. Nice sentiment, but the first thing you are going to do is to pack people in close together?
  14. Barr Says DOJ May Act Against Governors With Strict Virus Limits The Justice Department will consider taking legal action against governors who continue to impose stringent rules for dealing with the coronavirus that infringe on constitutional rights once the crisis subsides in their states, Attorney General William Barr said. </snip> “We have to give businesses more freedom to operate in a way that’s reasonably safe,” Barr said. “To the extent that governors don’t and impinge on either civil rights or on the national commerce -- our common market that we have here -- then we’ll have to address that.” </snip>

  16. Long thread: This long thread from earlier today about what is being worked on:
  17. The cast of characters asking for a review of remarks ... Schiff, Nadler, Feinstein, Mark Warner... what do they all have in common? ?
  18. Big boys. An Indonesian company blew up yesterday, but that was part fraud. Some speculation on what is to come. Today, it looks like small and big players have figured out that holding until the end when the world's economy is shutdown may not be a great strategy. Now, the economy is starting to reopen, so use will go up a bit (not back to normal levels for a while though), but when every oil tanker, train tanker, Cushing (and all the other oil tank storage farms) are full to the brim... yeah, if I were holding I wouldn't want to experience a repeat of yesterday either. And yesterday, those were the big-boys. The smaller players have to be panicking as they are far less able to sustain any losses.
  19. LOL The new pivot is whiplashing so hard, is gonna break a few Democratic and "msm" (BIRM) necks.
  20. Hmmm Trump just dropped a hint about a revolutionary test to come out in a few weeks (he hopes).
  21. Bet you 10 bucks someone reports something totally different than what was explicitly laid out about tests today. They can never say enough about the testing.
  22. Admiral Giroir There are 40M tests in the market. It is an end-to-end problem. If the machines were being utilized, they could do more tests if the states would use the machine capability. He explained who they are testing. Nursing homes, Indian health, etc. He explained about track and trace and asymptomatic. LOL The Governor of Maryland must be a treat. He's getting tests from South Korea, and the Admiral is "I don't know what he is doing." Mike Pence got in there and diplomatically said the Governor mentioned nothing on the call, he does not know when the order was placed, put up the capacity slide, and pointed out there is plenty of tests and capacity.
  23. Pence: that memorandum of labs... he said we provided them a map of where they are. We have enough testing capacity for every state in America to go to phase 1 (if they qualify).
