  1. Trump: IF the corona comes back (basically what they have been saying for weeks). If, may, could. Press: Asking about the two together, and was that what WaPo was told? Redfield: Yes. That is what I was trying to say. More difficult because we have to distinguish between the two. Sounds like he's saying because there is a flu vaccine, get it. They are going back and forth about the WaPo headline not being what he said. The press read the comment, and the headline isn't what he said.
  2. Trump: Update on major cities. Talking about the CDC guy, said he was misquoted. The CDC guy meant flu + corona coming together at the same time. Redfield: Clarifying his comments that there was a possibility of next fall or winter being more complicated due to two viruses (flu + COVID-19). It will be more complicated. We have the capacity to stay in the containment mode. We will not need to resort to what we did this spring. Using containment mode, continued guidelines, and social distancing strategies. Key to comments and wanting to stress them. He wants people to get the flu vaccine to minimize the co problem.
  3. That is fascinating to me. Let's just say I could not disagree more with your assessment. Fauci ummm no comment Birx she has changed a lot since the start of these. She looks a lot older, worn out, and seems to have learned a lot about dealing with the media. Pence is the diplomat in the crowd. Trump really depends on the day and the news he needs to impart.
  4. I don't know where to put this.. WHO chief asks President Trump to resume funding The director general of the World Health Organization (WHO) is pleading with President Trump to renew funding for the organization. On Wednesday, the WHO chief claimed he is doing an important job of keeping the U.S. and its partners safe from global threats to public health. “I hope the freezing of the funding will be reconsidered,” he added. </snip>
  5. The later they start, the shorter they are ... usually. Because I told you that, you know it is gonna be two hours today. ?
  6. As someone who can be really mean if I do not get a decent night sleep for a few days, I am impressed with these people (who are all older than I am) and their unflagging commitment to public duty these last few months. Whether or not I agree with them (and many times I do not), I can see they are trying to do their best in horrible circumstances. Being sleep deprived cannot help.
  7. New York scraps do-not-resuscitate order during coronavirus pandemic New York state officials have scrapped controversial new guidelines that directed emergency service workers not to attempt to revive anyone without a pulse when they arrive on a scene during the coronavirus pandemic. State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker “rescinded” the “do-not-resuscitate” order put out by his Bureau of Emergency Medical Service on Wednesday — just hours after The Post exclusively reported. </snip>
  8. He's been doing quite well during this, in my opinion. Today, he did not cover himself in glory. Today was pretty terrible.
  9. Now, normally I am with anyone who beats down on Hannity, but that was not shared for what he interrupted, but what for Navarro said. Since people were all over Navarro (supposedly) having some sort of memo out in January, I am not certain why they would not be all over Navarro beating on China for their duplicity.
  10. Video of the interview at the link. Really lays it out quite quickly. Peter Navarro accuses China of committing 'four kills' with response to coronavirus pandemic White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy director Peter Navarro joined "Hannity" Tuesday night and laid out China's mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic, a process he said Beijing might call "the four kills." "They spawned the virus, probably in that P4 lab right there in China and then they hid it behind the shield of the World Health Organization," Navarro began. </snip>
  11. Deep state has morphed into a catch-all for the un-elected bureaucracy. The people involved in the sedition were appointments (although Obama knew about it if you read the Page/Strzok email exchange) as well as some people that were hired workers. Again, you are never going to believe anyone who has been following this if you do not read the source material yourself. I strongly urge you to do so. It is not fun reading, you will (probably) be red pilled, but it is worth the effort.
  12. House Appropriations Committee member Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, discusses precautions for reopening the economy and offering additional aid to small business. 6:30 We are trying to help the post office so we can potentially have mail in ballots for election... They are trying to drag this out so they can cheat? That is absolutely awful. Never let a crisis go to waste, indeed. https://video.foxbusiness.com/v/6151284187001/
  13. I'd strongly encourage you to read the source documents. They are H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E. to get through if you do not have a law background (I don't). But, it is worth the effort so you can form your own opinions based on source documents rather than what the "msm" spews.
  14. A serious question: have you read any of the source documents? What about the information that keeps coming out in (small) declassifications?
  15. I can't wait until people get back to work instead of trolling message boards as a boredom hobby. I guess that means we are stuck with Tibs though.
  16. Awwww you're lurking @plenzmd1!? I knew it!! You do love us!
  17. I hate getting into this as this is the wrong thread for this discussion (there are three others that are better suited to it) buuuuutttt.. who was worse? It really was rigged for her. And she lost. And I say this as someone who Hillary Clinton was the only candidate I have ever sent a campaign contribution to (in 2008, I knew Obama was gonna be a disaster, I just did not realize how awful Hillary was, too). You are a ***** idiot.
  18. U.S. Navy warships deployed to South China Sea The U.S. Navy has deployed two warships to the South China Sea amid elevated tensions between China and Vietnam. On Tuesday, Navy officials said the USS America and USS Bunker Hill sailed near a Chinese scout ship in disputed waters amid Beijing’s push to increase influence in the area. This happened after China allocated additional forces to the South China Sea, while the coronavirus has continued to ravage its neighboring countries. </snip>
  19. More layoffs. This is due to the lack of ad dollars out there right now, but I am tucking it into the media thread. No idea when/if these people will have jobs when this is over. Digital media clobbered by coronavirus The drastic measures at top digital media outlets serve as a stark reminder that few victims will be spared by the economic crisis prompted by the coronavirus pandemic. The big picture: Vice Media has laid out a plan for potential layoffs of over 300 people in digital operations, according to The Wall Street Journal. It would be joining Group Nine Media, BuzzFeed, Vox Media, Bustle Digital Group, Cheddar, Maven Media, G/O Media, Protocol and others who have resorted to layoffs and furloughs. Even Protocol, the digital-first tech website launched by Politico owner Robert Allbritton just two months ago, said Tuesday that it was laying off 13 staffers, including its editorial director. </snip>
