There are other ways we can spend $500M where people can be helped. Nih is giving away a lot of money. Looking into this also ($32B a year). This is a lot of money, we want to make sure it is spent wisely. Looking into the money that was spent to Wuhan lab. This is the lab people are talking about. A lot of waste in our government, and we are looking into that.

Nationwide we have conducted over 4M tests. Double conducted by any other country on earth (more than two times). He had a leadership talk with other countries today, and they asked about our testing. NY per capita testing is 67% higher than Singapore, 64% high than South Korea, and 47% (this may be the wrong #) than Australia. Feds are working with states so the governors can use the tremendous unused lab capabilities we have. Mexico needs ventilators, and the US will be helping them out (he has said this before). Some people are trying to politicize testing. (duh) If there is a surge, we can have ventilators to the states in hours (there is a stockpile of about 10K).

Paycheck protection program... he's asking the Democrats to get it done (the extra $250B), should be bipartisan. This is supporting 30M American jobs. Same for his nursing home. When my mother delivers something is taken from her in between the locked doors. She's not allowed in the facility. The people who have (had) the COVID-19 are employees. One is in administration (the March case), the recent case was an aide. They have locked down the floor that aide worked on tighter (not sure what the steps are, that is all my mother said).

My mother has gotten two letters so far about COVID-19 cases (one in March, one last week) in my father's nursing home. They can lock people down, but the staff still goes in and out and interacts with people outside the nursing home. Without full PPE gear, the outlook is grim. I hope your in-laws are well and do not get this.

I think they would love too, but I am not too certain how much attention they want to draw to what the VA Governor is doing. I was actually yelling at the TV for Trump to lay it out for those watching instead of dancing around it. If the Michigan Governor really is up for the Democratic VP slot, the less said about her shenanigans during this crisis, the better for the Democrats. And the “msm” is all about protecting the Ds.
