You kind of got the full McDermott experience. Led his team to a resilient gutsy effort facing a team on the road who had extra rest with your team having a missed practice due to three effin feet of snow in less than a day. Then he calls a timeout on 4th and 15 late in the game to make sure his defense is lined up giving Ben Johnson the opportunity to call a fricken hook n ladder which of course works. Only to have us hold our breath as the Special Teams almost effs up the onside kick.
I'd be all for it as a lack of a true game wrecker at Defensive End has been the common missing ingredient imo to getting to the Super Bowl the last four seasons. Crosby is absolutely that. I just think the Raiders value him too much as the heart and sole of that team. I doubt he's available for trade.
It's because of how rare two qb's getting injured in the same game is. I'm guessing it's a once out of three years type occurrence (don't quote me on that). They only made the "emergency QB" option is because the freak occurrence occurred with the 49ers in the NFC Championship game against the Eagles. Even when they added the rule only 13 NFL teams rostered three QB's which tells you that teams aren't that concerned about losing their top 2 QB's in the same game.
Somewhere in between probably. If they do give up 40 plus, get ready for the take Ben Johnson back on the plane instead of McDermott jokes going around.
The third QB needs to be on your active roster for him to be considered the "emergency QB" that doesn't count against the game day actives. White isn't on the active roster so the Bills can't use him as an emergency QB.
