    Nah. You sign a bridge QB for cheap if you're going to spend a 1st round pick on a rookie QB. Like the Vikings did with Darnold for one year for $8.75m. My guess is Atlanta fell in love with Penix after signing Cousins.

    I don't really trust any kicker but I don't think he's missed a game winning kick. I could be wrong though. I remember him making it @Baltimore and home twice against the Fish. The last from 62 yards. That KC game in the playoffs where we had a chance to tie was obviously the biggest miss of his career.

    So, with Kirk they're 7-7 with a cupcake schedule, pry won't make the playoffs, and will likely have a $65m dead cap hit next year if they can't trade Cousins. Last year they were 6-8 at this time so it cost them $90m for one more win. If Penix doesn't work out this will be an all time gaffe of a contract.

    It's amazing how a uniform combo can go from abhorrent to good just by changing the pants from red to white.

    This is mostly right. I believe they need either the Broncos or Chargers to lose out though. I'd be rooting for the Chargers this week if I was a Bengals fan given the Chargers have an easy final two games (@Patriots, @Raiders).

    Is it possible that there was blame to go around with Diggs, Josh, McDermott, and Brady? I think it's easier just to shift all the blame to the guy who isn't here anymore.

    I'd take Gabe as a WR4 over Mack but only in that role. Gabe was just as beloved in Buffalo until they increased his usage.

    I'm always uneasy with him when he kicks it from the right hash mark. I'm not sure what his numbers are now but here it is coming into the year since 2021. Yeah. It's definitely something this franchise hasn't ever experienced before.

    Agreed. We have a pretty good guess of at least six of the seven playoff teams in each conference with three weeks left which is rare. I can see the Chargers chargering though even with Harbaugh allowing one of the Colts, Dolphins, or Bengals (PLEASE GOD NO) to sneak into that 7 seed.
