  1. Every movie I was going to write down has been mentioned so far so I'll go with the one's I've seen the most not in this thread that I've watched often: -Back to the Future II and III -The Prestige -Fight Club -Minority Report -Silence of the Lambs -Tropic Thunder -Gangs of New York -Fargo -Prisoners -Big -Vacation
  2. "I love the smell of process in the morning."
  3. Probably a permanent decision.
  4. I like Sal but this was the first thing that came to my mind after reading this "scoop."
  5. Interesting comments by former FDA Commissioner. I personally made the mistake of assuming it came from a bat as those useless creatures were the origin of MERS and SARS. I'd like to hear from those people that were actually at that meeting. “I didn’t think there was anything remarkable in those emails. I don’t think there was anything that Tony said that expressed any ill intent, and nothing that was new,” Gottlieb replied, saying that there had always been two theories on the origins of the virus — a natural derivation or a leak from a lab — but that there had been little real evidence to support either one. “We have other information now that fits into this picture. The science is one piece of information, but there is a lot of other information that points in the direction that this could have come out of a lab, that we need to have a broader view about the potential risk that this was a lab leak,” Gottlieb continued. Dickerson pressed Gottlieb on that possibility, pointing out the fact that critics have claimed that Fauci had not been entirely forthcoming with regard to the idea that COVID-19 could have originated in a lab. “Well, I was told at that time, back in the spring, that Dr. Fauci had gone over to a meeting of world health leaders in Europe and actually briefed them on the information that they were looking at, that this could have been a potential lab leak, that this strain looked unusual,” Gottlieb replied. “I think early on, when they looked at the strain, they had suspicions. And it takes time to do that analysis, and that dispelled some of those suspicions.” Gottlieb concluded by saying that it was a mistake to only look at the virus from a scientific perspective. “The broader issue is we look at these things through the lens of science, and not necessarily through the lens of national security,” Gottlieb said. “A scientific mindset looks at the virus and the virus’ behavior and draws a conclusion. A national security assessment looks at that and then looks at the behavior of the Chinese government, the behavior of the lab, other evidence around the lab, including the infections we now know took place, and that changes the overall assessment.”
  6. Phluck Vrabel. I hope he and Julio give each other mono.
  7. We finished number two in offense last year. We're returning 10 of our 11 starters. I don't see our RB or TE production getting any worse this season. I see Sanders as a more reliable option than John Brown. I'd rather see Beane commit financially to a CB2 and/or 1 technique DT. Julio was too much of a risk to make that kind of financial commitment and give up future draft assets for. This move could easily backfire on the Titans if those soft tissue injuries linger and/or he loses a step. Julio could be great for them still but I'm never a fan of paying an aging veteran that much money based on past production.
  8. Sorry. I meant they could restructure his contract taking 15 million off the books giving them 20 million in cap space total to absorb Jones's contract.
  9. They could easily restructure Tannehill's contract to give them 20 million in cap space this year. Tannehill said the other day they haven't asked him to but I have a feeling they might now.
  10. Glad the Pats didn't get him. Good year for us to get the AFC South considering we would've had to play them anyways. GET STEVEN NELSON!!!
  11. Stimulus checks aren't needed at this point and that discriminates against people who already did the right thing and got the vaccine. If there's ever one of these novel virus outbreaks again it would be foolish to get the vaccine right away (if you're lucky enough to be in a low risk demographic) until the best possible incentive is presented to you. That means waiting. I like Ohio's weekly one million dollar lottery system idea where all vaccinated adults were able to enter and they say a 28% increase of the vaccination rate of 16 and older. Make that program national.
  12. Beane also didn't help with his unprompted comment suggesting decisions may be made for the bubble players based on whether they're vaccinated or not. I don't like where this is going at all as trust issues between the players, coaches, and upper management could develop over this issue. Something that hasn't seemed to be a problem since McBeane got here.
  13. Just for reference....Maybin got 15 million guaranteed when the salary cap was set at about $60m less than it is now. I am NOT saying he's another Aaron Maybin but thank god for the rookie wage scale.
  14. You and I aren't that far off but I just need more evidence of him covering up for China if it was a lab leak. I think you're correct in that he wanted to get in the right eyes of the media. Trump suggested hydroxychloroquine and it could've been a lab leak. The media overreacted like always with everything Trump said instead of looking at it objectively. Fauci then constantly pushed for new and experimental drugs over established drugs that might help. He also dismissed the lab leak theory as conspiracy to appease the media. I fall into the category of I think Trump and Fauci did a terrible job in messaging but an okay job in managing the crises overall.
  15. Criminally undervalued? Come on. He's been average in the run game and poor in pass coverage. He should be better than last year but I don't ever expect him to fall into the elite tier of linebackers.
  16. You give him too much credit and you're going to need actual evidence to prove your theory. I agree with you about his quest for fame though.
  17. Did he have to give all those interviews where he just seemed to confuse people more? Did he have to do a magazine shoot in the middle of a pandemic? If he's just following the science why didn't he speak out louder against the lack of social distancing during the protests following the George Floyd death?
  18. The Colts playoff game before halftime with Davis dragging his toes twice on the sideline. A 96 yard drive after a defensive stand at the goal line that concluded with a Josh Allen (you can never do this if your life depended on it Phillip Rivers) rushing TD. I don't even think the celestial Patrick Mahomes could've pulled that off.
  19. SHOCKER. These e-mails are being viewed through the prism of whatever preconceived biases you have. If you're on the left Fauci is a hero who simply adapted with the ever changing science and refused to be corrupted by Trump. If you're on the right he was a flip flopper who became the human symbol of what they viewed as over restrictive measures (masks, lockdowns, etc.) and was controlled by the WHO who got their orders from China. I liked him at first but then he started to give too many interviews with too many unnecessary predictions. Then he posed for a magazine (Newsweek?) maskless in the middle of a pandemic last summer. Fame had gotten to his head (he somehow had time to write a book) and he should've been replaced then. I trust highly regarded doctors more than politicians but he became a politician.
  20. Josh does take a lot of chances but luckily the zip on his throws prevents a lot of the interceptions as DB's just can't handle it.
  21. When I log in from my phone there's a full page ad in order to get to the forums. Just on my phone though. I consider taking two seconds to hit the x button in the upper corner to get to the forums my personal Vietnam.
  22. I can't find the article you two are bickering about as Woods either deleted the tweet or twitter did for him.
  23. It's a matter of opinion. It was the best of the original Star Trek movies but there were some significant plot holes and unnecessary story lines for me to rank it above those two. Plus, we all pretty much knew Spock was coming back for the sequels so the emotions of Spock's death felt contrived in retrospect with his space burial being on the planet "Genesis."
