I was talking more about pass coverage where his size, length, range, and athleticism really makes a QB's life more difficult. We allowed pedestrian QB's (Pickett, Cousins, Goff, and Brissett) to feast off us when Edmunds wasn't out there.
-
Figures Edmunds plays by far his best year on his contract year. He's the one player that there was a notable drop off in our defense when he was out. Hindsight says we should've extended him last year. Now, he may have priced himself out to a rebuilding team with plenty of cap room. It stinks.

Matt Araiza, The Punt God, Signs With Team in Mexico
Doc Brown replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
Martin is a free agent. I'm not sure what his asking price is but Araiza could be an interesting plan B if Beane thinks he's not worth the investment. They proved that? -
It'll be interesting to see if they outlaw pushing a ball carrier forward this off-season. It hurts the enjoyment of the game so they pry will.

Sean is not a bad coach, just a bad fit for this team and era
Doc Brown replied to Billsflyer12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who would you have brought in that were former offensive coordinators out of curiosity? Matt Nagy? Pat Shurmur? Bill O'Brien? I don't remember there being a lot of great options. Dorsey was the right hire and he'll prove it next year. I'll die on that hill too. -
Daboll/Hodgins - Does their success bother you?
Doc Brown replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I'm jealous of Daboll's success. Making the divisional round with the second ranked offense and defense with the sixth toughest schedule in the NFL while overcoming big time injuries to key players on defense is just an incredible job. -
Take away the 81 yard collapse and he only had 13 carries for 38 yards. He's not worth 14 million.
-
The last three coordinators turned coaches who won it their first season were Sean McVay, Matt Nagy, and Kevin Stefanski. McVay was able to maintain it by spending like a teenager with a credit card. Nagy was a massive failure after his first year. Stefanski has struggled since winning it. The true test with Daboll is whether he'll be able to win year in and year out like McDerdott, Reid, Harbaugh, Tomlin, etc... have.

Commanders may not pick up Chase Young’s 5th year option
Doc Brown replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Guy looked like a home run pick until he tore his ACL. There'd be a lot of interest in him for a trade given how starved teams are for pass rushers. The Bills would have to absorb his 11 million dollar cap hit though so they pry won't be players. -
Bills wouldn't cut him. LOL. Not a great look. He'd be a reliable backup at worst. I have a hunch he plays next season.
-
Beane should just let me make his second round picks for him. Ford, Epenesa, and Basham - yikes. I would've taken AJ Brown, Dobbins, and Humphrey for what it's worth. Ignore my post history and just take my word for it.

Panthers defense was pretty aggressive in the few games I saw. Maybe it’s a positive hire.

Didn’t a hockey player come back a month later from a similar scenario?

Major Sports Alignment and Playoff Qualifying
Doc Brown replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd be all for going back to 12 if they reduced the divisions to two or three in each conference. You'd have years where a 7-9 or 8-8 team made the playoffs over a 10-6 or 11-5 team. What's the point of winning your division then? -
Major Sports Alignment and Playoff Qualifying
Doc Brown replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the way the schedule is set up for the most part but I'd just make two simple changes. -Division winner gets playoff spot but seeds are decided by overall record. Bucs would've been seventh seed this year and Cowboys would've been forth seed. -No International games. I hate losing a home game. Plus, it's an insult to our ancestors who had to fight those redcoats. -
Who's our slot WR in 2023, Shakir or...?
Doc Brown replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fifth round pick for a reason. -
Who's our slot WR in 2023, Shakir or...?
Doc Brown replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they could rework Hunter Renfrow's contract he'd be someone I'd be interested in trading for if they don't think Shakir is the answer. -

DeSantis For President in 2024?
Doc Brown replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Those sandwiches aren't going to make themselves. I kid but Desantis has nothing to do with this. -
