He also threw four picks in that game. It's more of a case of Lawrence's stats were so bad his rookie year because Urban Meyer may have been the worst coaching hire in the last ten years at least. I guess you could make a case for Adam Gase or Nathaniel Hackett but still. It was bad.

That's all their regular season games they've played in their career up to this point. Both played 50 if you include the playoffs.

Trevor Lawrence is obviously better but I found this interesting....

Because most GM’s are new because the old one’s got a d or worse. -
Brandon Beane’s Tenure by Letter Grade—Poll is Up!

He's somewhere between an A and B. Definitely a top five GM in the league. To answer your questions. His best move besides drafting Allen was trading for Diggs. His best draft pick so far in terms of value was Taron Johnson. Knox, S. Brown, Shakir, Benford, Bernard, and Davis are also in the running. His biggest miss was Cody Ford despite us all loving the trade up at the time. I would say Elam but the book hasn't been written on him yet. The Basham pick is still infuriating. His best free agent signings were Morse, Brown, D. Williams, and Beasley. His worst contract given out was unfortunately Von Miller.- 157 replies

He lost Adams in free agency which is my biggest Diggs fear with Allen.

That was the game I realized Rex shouldn't be allowed to be the head coach a pee wee football team. He blamed not challening a clear incompletion because they didn't show it on the big screen in the stadium. There were a few more wtf challeng and non challenges in that game if I recall. The lack of detail with him in almost every facet of being an NFL head coach was astounding.

The poster is so slow he doesn't realize 2nd round picks only get four year contracts 😉. I kid but I think Gary Coleman may still be able to beat him in a race.

Do think Beane will make any trades before week 1?
Doc Brown replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably not. I would pull out all the stops to try and trade for Aiyuk or Metcalf (and give them the bag) so Allen can have a true #1 WR in his prime for the next five years. It would give Coleman time to develop as WR2 and would open up the middle of the field for guys like Shakir, Kincaid, and Samuel. Maybe Beane tried already and they weren't for sale. Who knows. -
Could the range of potential outcomes be part of a trade package for Aiyuk or Metcalf? I kid. Kind of.

That's pry the reason but the only reason I bring it up is Beane did the same thing with Howard's contract with an added void year. I just caution people not to read too much into the guarantees in Hollins's and MVS's contracts although like I said it's pry at least above 90% they both make the team.
-
True but it just shows me they're willing to eat a little bit of dead cap if a player is as bad as Howard was in training camp/preseason. If Hollins is horrible in preseason then they'd pry swallow his $1.1m in dead cap. What's interesting about MVS's contract is if they were to cut him they added some void years so they wouldn't eat all that dead cap right away.
-
When they cut OJ Howard and ate $2.6m in dead camp my thinking about the importance of contract/guarantees when it came to roster spots. I agree with your list but am not ruling out a surprise cut of Hollins or MVS.
-
It's possible but they also have Ty Johnson and maybe will have Curtis Samuel return kickoffs with the new rules in place.
-
There goes almost most of our remaining cap money this yeear if he's waived 🤣. The only three I see as locks are Coleman, Shakir, and Samuel. I'd think they'd want at least two bigger bodies that can block with at least one (probably two) having special teams props. Percentage wise to make the roster if they kept six I'd go: Pry WR 4 and 5 MVS: 95% Mack Hollins: 90% WR 6 assuming those two above make it because I don't want to get weird with math (if they keep six) Claypool: 35% Shorter: 30% Isabella: 20% Shavers: 7% Hamler: 4% Thompson: 3% Johnson:0.8% Keys: 0.2%

Joe Marino talks what the Bills have to do to beat KC in playoffs
Doc Brown replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
The checkdown to a wide open Diggs was there for a probable first down. At worst a 3rd and short where I like our chances the way our running game was going with both Josh and our RB's. Chiefs have to start burning timeouts. We can run the clock down where it's a TD for the win or a chip shot for OT. Mahomes doesn't get the ball back. Even if Dawkins held his block, Allen was 1 for 13 (or something close to that) in passes 25 yards plus in the middle of the field last season. Horrible situational awareness by both Brady on the play call and Allen on the decision. I know I'm in the minority on this fwiw. -
Rasul Douglas - about his future with the bills?
Doc Brown replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know he missed all voluntary OTA's last year too so I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Really wish they could find a way to extend him though as he's the perfect fit in this scheme. Although for the fire McDermott people it doesn't matter. -

I guess but that high difficulty miss to Shakir passing up a wide open Diggs is hard to forget as much as I love Allen. -

I'm not the one saying it's too late. LOL. I'll never get over the stupidty of the coaching at the end of 13 seconds. I'll give you that. Not squib kicking and then giving the WR's/TE's free releases while leaving the middle of the field wide open was beyond incompetence. -
