BREAKING: SCOTUS to overturn Roe?
Governor replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It’s pretty cool when you can see the political landscape changing in real time. Try to picture what things will look like on Election Day. It won’t look anything like it did 2 months ago. -
BREAKING: SCOTUS to overturn Roe?

I like gifts. Thanks Trumpers! -
In real-time I felt we were 1 speedy weapon short, and then the obvious defensive flaws that most of us new would be eventually exposed when it mattered. Speed, defensive coaching and scheme.

Soft touch. It’s really the only thing left for him to improve on along with hitting guys in stride.
-
I can’t really blame Daboll for that. Josh didn’t start to develop touch on his throws until last season and it’s still not completely there yet.

Bill Maher: Hero to the left or enemy of the people?
Governor replied to IYKYK's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He’s always been in the racist, conservative, intolerant faction of of center, similar to Trump’s faction of the GOP. It’s mostly white grievance and the battle against some “woke” boogeyman coming from him these days. Ratings caused him to find a center safe place to attack both sides. -
The American Media Should Not Be Trusted

How’s that Florida housing crisis treating you? I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to live in such an expensive place without a livable wage. Something needs to be done about that. I’ve been told it’s like living in San Francisco! Maybe we should build a wall? Economic growth tho right? Yeah, that’s great until you realize you have to live right in the middle of it. What a mess! Lol. You guys really are s$%t on that whole Florida thing. Well, you live and learn I guess. -
Good post! it feels like we missed on some good value at safety yesterday. I wonder what the plan is.

And a 4th. -
Beane’s going to give up next year’s 1st to move back into the 4th round.
-
I’m glad we didn’t trade up 2 spots for a RB. We would’ve been laughed out of the building. I think safety, LB, WR are still needs. What was the ranking of the top safety compared to the CB we settled on? I bet it was pretty tempting. I didn’t get a chance to look yet.
-
I thinks it’s possible that he was the last player left out of the 2 or 3 positions of “need” that we were willing to draft in the 1st.
-
We likely had 4 CB’s on our board and traded up to secure the 4th ranked one. I don’t think anyone could say he was BPA. Beane’s job was to come home with a CB. He did that. You’re throwing around phrases like “we got our guy” and that’s just silly.
-
Well, we got the last Option at CB on our board after McDuffie was snagged away from us. No one can say it was the guy “we wanted.” He was the guy “we needed”’ since the others were gone. We made the pick based strictly on need as opposed to BPA. There’s really no reason to make excuses about any of it. KC sneakily clowned us with the help of NE. It happens. We’re the hunted now and didn’t see it coming. We’ll have the last laugh.

The Titans replaced Brown with a younger, likely better version of Brown with identical size that won’t cost 100 million bucks. That was the pick/trade of the night! Looks like numerous teams went in with a similar strategy.
-
Nah. He probably tried to move up a few times and couldn’t so he played it safe so he could come home with a CB. It is what it is. If the player turns out to be great, no one will remember the weird flailing around that occurred. No more trade ups tho.
-
Trade up for a RB after giving up a 4th tonight? Lol. That would be pretty amusing. I am guessing that Safety is our next immediate target. Hopefully the value is there and can make up for the slight blunder tonight. We should do what the Titans did. You see a trend where a position is being drastically overpaid (WR) then do the opposite and dump him and get a young, cheap replacement. I loved what the Titans did tonight.

Seems like Lamar Jackson isn't pleased with the Ravens tonight

Absolutely right. He’s not getting a new deal and he knows it. -
Pretty obvious wasn’t it? Then confirmed quickly by Beane’s explanation about the pick. If you only had 2 CB’s left on your board with 4-5 teams to go, why not trade up sooner and get the one you wanted instead of spazzing out and giving away a 4th for no reason?
-
By that logic we should’ve traded all the way to #2 to secure a CB.
-
He definitely did. Looks like he thought McDuffie was going to be there then scrambled to get the last CB on their board. Im sure he will be a perfectly fine player but giving up a 4th was typical Beane head scratcher. He sure loves to hand over picks.
-
The Chiefs stole our guy. We definitely weren’t anticipating that.
-
We traded up for Tremaine Edmunds.
-
Beane panicked and was still shell shocked from the KC trade up with NE. He could be a great player but definitely not who we were originally targeting.
