Bills' Uniform on Sunday Night vs. Packers: Blue on Blue
Logic replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
If anyone believes in "uniform luck"... The Bills are undefeated in blue-on-blue this season, but suffered their ONLY LOSS of the season wearing blue over white. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin. -
Bills' Uniform on Sunday Night vs. Packers: Blue on Blue
Logic replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
It seems that they've officially adopted blue on blue as their default home jersey. Three home games, three blue-on-blues. Interesting. -

I mean...white chocolate Hershey's?!?! Li'l Dirty earned Josh's disgust with that ridiculous answer. -
Can anyone explain this Bills jersey number oddity from the late 80's?
Logic replied to BLeonard's topic in The Stadium Wall
People are giving the OP a lot of guff, but I feel like it's reasonable to want a jersey that is an authentic replica of the home jersey Kelly actually wore in 1990. As to how to find one or why the issue came up to begin with, I cannot answer. I do see some blue home Kelly jerseys on EBay with the correct diagonal 2, but I am not sure of their authenticity or lack thereof. Aside from rolling the dice on one of those, the only other thing I can think of would be to send an e-mail to the Bills store. I doubt it would work, but it's worth a shot. -
MNF: Chicago Bears at NE Patriots - with Manningcast!
Logic replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Pats fans and MNF broadcasters were all soooooo breathlessly excited for Belichick to pass Halas on the all time wins list — and against the Bears no less — in front of a fired up home crowd. Instead, they got wrecked by the Bears, who are basically a JV team, on National TV. And as if that wasn’t sweet enough, they now also have a really awkward and hilarious QB controversy between two wildly mediocre QBs. Best. MNF. Ever.- 830 replies

Yeah, I know it. Hence the "Any Given Sunday" deference in my post. Still. I've watched this Packers team lose three straight games to the likes of the Giants, Jets, and Commanders. More importantly, I think this year's team is not last year's Bills team. That doesn't mean that the same type of "out of nowhere" loss can't happen. Of course it can. It just means that I feel like this year's Bills are a different animal. I also think McDermott's got some post bye week special sauce that he sprinkles on this team. Can the Packers win? Of course. Will I be completely shocked if they do? Definitely. -
Colts benching Matt Ryan per Reich Benched regardless of injury
Logic replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Woof. Just as Alec Pierce and Parris Campbell were starting to make noise on my dynasty team bench 😝 Who woulda thunk that the Philip Rivers 7-seed team would be the peak of the Reich/Ballard regime, and it would be all downhill from there? Imagine being a Colts fan? Just a few short years ago they had an ascending defense and a generational type QB in Andrew Luck. Then, out of the blue, the QB retired at age 29, they began a never-ending parade of mediocre and aging veterans, and now appear poised to potentially fire their coach and GM. Sheesh. -

I know, I know..."Any Given Sunday"... But it's hard for me to see how this Bills team, which is now pretty healthy and has never lost coming off a bye week under coach McDermott and is playing at home...is going to lose to this absolutely below average Packers team. Bills have the 2nd ranked scoring offense going against the 15th ranked scoring defense. Bills have the 1st ranked scoring defense going against the 23rd ranked scoring offense. Bills are better at just about every position across the board, including -- right this moment, at least -- at quarterback. I don't see this being one of those close games that has you biting your nails. I see this being one of those "Case Keenum is playing the 4th quarter" games. -
This sucks. Hall was starting to look like young Adrian Peterson out there. I hope he heals well and is back and ready to roll on opening day 2023.

NFL Week 7 - Around the NFL - Gameday thread (Bills have bye)
Logic replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't he come back into the game after that though? -
Looking at that schedule, I see a 9 game winning streak heading into the Cincinnati game. That would put the Bills at 14-1 with two left to play. The Bills can afford only as many losses as Kansas City has, thanks to the head-to-head tiebreaker. With the caveat of "any given Sunday" (who here had last year's Jags game marked down as a loss?), I like the Bills chances at the 1-seed, health permitting. Fivethirtyeight.com currently has the Bills with a 65% chance at a first round bye. The next closest team, the Chiefs, have a 17% chance.

I'm pretty late to this thread because I took the weekend off from football, but... I started out many years ago on the BBMB as Goganious, named after unremarkable Bills linebacker Pete Goganious. I think I just liked the way the name rolled off the tongue. At some point, I had login issues with the name and the whole song and dance I was going through to get into my account didn't seem worth it, so I decided to start a new one. On the one hand, BBMB was pretty awful at that time. Poorly moderated, filled with trolls and idiots and doom-and-gloomers and awful, illogical takes. On the other hand, I love philosophy and logic. Aristotle, Plato, Kant. So, Logic seemed like a good, simple, well...logical name to take on. My goal at that point was simply to make some logical, even-handed posts to counter all the over-the-top nonsense at BBMB. I kept the name when I came to this forum just so I could keep track of people that migrated here with me, and vice versa.

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation
Logic replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know it's not the big splash some might be hoping for, but I wonder if the Falcons would take a pack of smokes in exchange for Dean Marlowe. Bills need a 4th safety, Marlowe knows the system well and has produced in it when called upon (relatively speaking). His cap hit is just $895,000 for the season. It would allow the Bills to continue to get their youngsters Hamlin and Johnson on the field, but would give them depth in case of injury or a backup plan in case either of them falter. -
Bills fans help old man in Steelers jersey during game

When I read "Bills fans help old man in Steelers jersey", I assumed this was a bumped thread about the Bills giving Roethlisberger one last memorable win last season.- 68 replies

The only thing that rouses my curiosity from a running back trade market standpoint is this: Antonio Gibson was a college WR. He had 735 yards and 8 TDs as a senior, averaging 19.3 yards per reception. For whatever reason, when he got to Washington, they just decided to...NOT use the pass-catching aspect of his game very much. They have used McKissic as the receiving back and sort of pigeonholed Gibson as an early down back. Very strange. Borderline personnel usage malpractice. I'd be curious to see what he could do as a moving chess piece, 3rd down back, slot receiver type player. CMC/Deebo lite. And NO, I am not saying he is as talented as either of those guys. I'm just saying he has a versatility and skillset that should make him a much more moveable, diverse, interesting offensive weapon than the way Washington has used him. He's CERTAINLY better than Zack Moss. He's only 24 years old and posted 1300 yards from scrimmage and 10 TDs just last season. Considering that he seems to be totally in the doghouse in Washington and could likely be had for very little compensation, and considering McDermott and Beane's relationship with Ron Rivera, I have to think that a trade could be very doable. The ONLY hang up I have is that I'm not sure how Gibson fits as far as culture/character goes. If he's a good dude? Trade a late round pick for him and see if he can "become the best version of himself" here. P.S. This isn't an anti-Singletary thread. Singletary would continue to be the starter. Every team needs good depth, injuries happen, and as I mentioned, Gibson could have a specialized role in the offense, different than Motor's.

The move makes a ton of sense for San Francisco. The NFC -- including their own division, the NFC West -- is wide open. They have an elite defense, some great skill position pieces, and a guy in Garoppolo who had them within a quarter of winning a Super Bowl. The only problem is that their offense rely relies on a sound running threat, and their running backs just CAN NOT stay healthy. Kind of ironic, then, that they're bringing in CMC of all people, but I don't want to go off on an injury tangent. Anyway, in the short term this gives them a very diverse and moveable set of skill players -- Deebo, CMC, Kittle, Aiyuk, and Juczyk are all multi-skilled chess pieces -- which should maximize Jimmy G's skillset as a physically limited game manager. In the long term, it gives them a theoretically fierce run game to keep them competitive while Trey Lance recovers and tries to re-claim the starting job. Aside from all of that, I would have to assume that Shanahan knows CMC pretty well from the connection their Dads share. Lastly...this is a rough move for Elijah Mitchell and Jeff Wilson fantasy shareholders 😅

Tonight, on Amazon Prime. BE THERE! https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/10/20/cardinals-put-hollywood-brown-justin-pugh-on-ir-elevate-rodrigo-blankenship/ The Cardinals announced a series of roster moves ahead of Thursday night’s game against the Saints. Wide receiver Hollywood Brown and guard Justin Pugh have been placed on injured reserve. Brown hurt his foot last Sunday and is expected to miss at least a month as he recovers. Pugh is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. The two open roster spots will be filled by wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who is returning from a six-game suspension, and offensive lineman Cody Ford, who has been activated from injured reserve.

I only know one thing for sure: If the Bills trade for him, all the people saying "he's too expensive! He's too injury prone!" are gonna quickly pivot to talking about what a game changer he is, and if the Bills DON'T trade for him, all the people advocating for doing so are gonna quickly pivot to "we didn't need an injury prone RB anyway!"

Bills, Minny and Eagles all on bye, NFL lookin lame this week
Logic replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Imagine if you could, though? 17 straight weeks of Bills-Chiefs, with the overall winner determining home field for the championship Bills-Chiefs game for all the marbles? It would sure beat watching Justin Fields, Baker Mayfield, and Russell Wilson "play football"! -

Indeed. Although I expect Bears-Pats to set football back 50 years. Belichick is gonna absolutely destroy Justin Fields. It's gonna be painful to watch. -

The prime time slate is absolutely brutal. Cards-Saints tonight Steelers-Dolphins Sunday night Bears-Patriots Monday night Ever since Josh and Pat reached atomic, world-destroying alien status, all other NFL games suddenly seem quite boring by comparison. These dudes have broken football for me.
