For those saying Toney is a bust... He has not failed to produce for TALENT reasons. Health and attitude are major question marks, but he is extremely physically talented. He reminds me of Percy Harvin in his prime. IF he can stay healthy and learn the playbook, he'll be a playmaker for them. Big "if", though.

Keep the proletariat dry. SOAK THE RICH!!! This gets lost in the wash, I think. How quick people are to forget just how amazing it is that the team is getting a new stadium and STAYING IN BUFFALO to begin with!

Bills fans in 2013: "We're gonna lose the team! Bon Jovi and Ted Rogers are gonna buy it and move it to Toronto! The end is nigh! I am in a glass case of emotion!!!!" Bills fans in 2022: "I dunno, I mean it looks OKAY, but shouldn't the buffalo statues be bigger? And where's the party deck?"

All I know is that there was a costume contest, for which Josh was the "sole judge, jury and executioner" to decide the winner, and Mitch Morse won. Morse went as the Bearded Lady. I was not able to find a picture. Some of the others I don't see pictured in this thread yet: Micah and Amanda Hyde as Mr and Mrs Frankenstein, Tremaine Edmunds and his significant other in gaudy gold Egyptian garb, and Tre White and his wife as Ike and Tina Turner. After the party, a small group of players went back to Josh's house for cigars around a firepit.

Between the canopy (even if it only covers +/- 60% of the seats), the stacked seat design, the "extensive radiant heating" that will be used, the "wind confusion wrap" (whatever the fook that is), and the rotation of the stadium's orientation to be less affected by wind.... I have a feeling fans will be much more comfortable in the new stadium. It'll be the best of both worlds, with more warmth and cover on gamedays, but also maintaining the outdoor football atmosphere that a stadium in Buffalo should have. Then again, I'm a hopeless optimist....

Is it in western New York? Does it have a regulation sized football field and some seats to watch the game from? Will it ensure that the Bills stay in Buffalo for the next few decades at least? Cool. We're good here.

Mitch Morse is the lynchpin of this line

Broncos getting trade calls for Jeudy and Chubb
Logic replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree on both counts. Personally, I'd rather have 23 year old Jerry Jeudy, who can play right away for Buffalo, than soon-to-be 30 year old OBJ coming off two ACL tears, who probably can't play until December or January and whose effectiveness after those injuries is to be determined. The key difference, of course, is that OBJ can be had without having to give up draft picks. On the other hand, I believe Jeudy would be cheaper, and that's not nothing when it comes to a team as close to the cap as the Bills are. It's all moot, I think, because I haven't even seen any evidence that the Broncos want to trade Jeudy anyway. -
Broncos getting trade calls for Jeudy and Chubb

I know it's not gonna happen, but I would LOVE it if the Bills traded for Jeudy. He'd be an immediate upgrade in the slot. He's on a cost controlled rookie deal for two more seasons. He'd be a big time playmaker in this offense, I think. Diggs/Davis is an excellent duo, but adding Jeudy would push the Bills WR corps into "best in the league" territory, in my opinion. Alas, I doubt Beane would want to give up the draft compensation it would probably take to get Jeudy (and who could blame him?), and the Broncos probably aren't keen to trade him because they're lying to themselves and thinking they're contenders. -
I haven't seen anyone yet list Unplugged in New York by Nirvana I'm not a huge Nirvana fan or anything, but I can listen to this one any time. Legendary performance. The fact that they basically avoided all their hits and instead played covers by the Vaselines and Meat Puppets and David Bowie and Leadbelly, and that those are the best tracks on the album....awesome.

He actually did this TWICE in the limited time that he was in the game against the Bears. And don't forget the time he gator rolled Brian Burns last year. He's a dirty player. He fits the "Patriot Way" perfectly.

THE trade target we should be targeting... (Elgton Jenkins)
Logic replied to glazeduck's topic in The Stadium Wall
Drafted six spots after the Bills took Cody Ford. Ugh. What could've been. -
Last sentence of the article: "...suggesting that an ACL tear recovery time of 10 months or longer may be associated with a lower risk of re-injury." And as I also posted above, Jameson Williams, who also had a clean ACL tear and is younger than White, is also likely to roll into month 11 without having returned to the field. I don't think it's that unusual. I also saw that White is practicing in a non-contact jersey, which suggests that return is imminent.

The thing that makes me shake my head is this: Stefon Diggs is on pace for a career high 150 receptions! If he accomplished that feat, it would be an NFL record! That high volume of targets is almost certainly going to come at the expense of other players on offense. Knox isn't being targeted nearly as often this season, but Diggs is being targeted much more. If Knox's statistical production is the sacrifice that must be made so that our best offensive playmaker, Stefon Diggs, can get the ball so much that he potentially sets an NFL record, I'm fine with it. In the Bills' case, the offensive production has been there. Josh Allen, before the bye week, was leading the NFL in passing yards. The Bills are second in points per game. Meanwhile, Knox very recently caught a clutch, contested, game winning touchdown. So what's the problem here?

As long as we're fielding theories... I believe the excellent Bills medical team knows that ACL injury recurrence is much greater if an athlete rushes back to the field. As such, and knowing that White is an important, long term foundational piece of the team, they're doing everything they can to make sure he's healthy in the long term. https://www.uchealth.org/today/acl-tears-how-long-does-it-take-to-recover-and-return-to-sports/#:~:text=“That process can take nine, least eight to nine months. “It takes a while for the graft to become part of the body and go through a process of we call ligamentization, which is becoming a new ligament,” McCarty said. “That process can take nine or 10 months.” Although some exceptional athletes can return to sports in six months, a more realistic scenario after an ACL tear is a recovery time of at least eight to nine months. “Even then, after you’ve done great therapy and have come back to sports, it can sometimes take another year before you feel normal again,” McCarty said. His patients often tell him that it isn’t until the second season after ACL surgery that they feel like they have fully returned to their previous level of play. Since everyone heals differently, there’s no set time for athletes to return to sports. Tests can determine whether or not a reconstructed knee is as functional as the other knee and up to the rigors of a particular sport. Doctors and physical therapists usually have the final say on whether or not an athlete is ready to compete safely. Research shows that up to one-third of athletes sustain another ACL tear in the same or opposite knee within two years, suggesting that an ACL tear recovery time of 10 months or longer may be associated with a lower risk of re-injury.

Obviously every athlete and every ACL tear is different and unique, but here's another pro football player (Jameson Williams) -- and a younger one at that -- who is at the 10 month post ACL-tear mark, and it sounds like he'll be heading into at least month 11 before he's MAYBE healthy enough to return. I don't believe there was any other structural damage in Williams' case, either. A "clean" ACL tear, so to speak. I'm also not aware of any reported setbacks in recovery. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/10/26/dan-campbell-we-feel-like-were-going-to-have-jameson-williams-this-season/ “No, there’s still hope [he’ll play during the 2022 season]. He’s put together a pretty good month — a real good month,” head coach Dan Campbell said in his Wednesday press conference. “We feel like we’re going to have him before this season’s out. “It’s hard to say when that’s going to be. I would say, at least probably another month. But I do feel like we’re going to get him before this is said and done.” Williams suffered the ACL tear during the CFP national championship game in January."

[Name Only Title] Kareem Hunt ??????????????????

Thanks for the quality response. Truly appreciated. -
That's not what I read here: https://theathletic.com/3454626/2022/07/28/nfl-pup-list-faq/ "The player has to remain on the reserve/PUP list for at least the first four regular season games (Oct. 3 or 4 this season), which is new this season. Once a player leaves the reserve/PUP list, he has up to 21 days to return to the 53-man roster. He can practice with the team until he’s taken off the list. If the player still isn’t able to play in games after the 21-day span, he’ll stay on the reserve/PUP list for the rest of the season."

[Name Only Title] Kareem Hunt ??????????????????

Was he not suspended 8 games for pushing a 19-year-old woman and then, when she was on the ground, kicking her? Was it not caught on videotape? Did he not admit culpability for the incident, stating he's "definitely not that type of person" and that he knows "right from wrong" after being raised by his mother, and saying he's "extremely embarrassed because of that video" ? https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/kareem-hunt-video-investigation-timeline-browns/18bl0koc3cxgv1ce8wjzsid5vr https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/15/sports/football/kareem-hunt-.html#:~:text=In the incident at Hunt's,Hunt then kicked her. What am I missing here? -
I believe that all those saying if he's not activated by the end of the 21 day window, he has to miss at least the next four weeks, are incorrect. In actuality, if he is not activated by the end of the 21 day window, he has to be shut down for the rest of the season. I don't believe that will happen, of course. I suspect they're being ultra conservative for two reasons: For one, they don't immediately need him. The Bills secondary has been playing well without him. Secondly, ACL injury recurrence has demonstrated to happen much more frequently if the person who suffered the tear comes back too soon. They're playing the long game. They need him in December and January (and hopefully February). Expect him to be activated off PUP next week, and then to either start against the Jets or be a game day inactive if they still feel he needs more time.

I don't want Kareem Hunt. I think he's a turd. I enjoy rooting for a team that's turd-free. I would like that to continue.
