  1. #3 and #2 were clearly penalties. On the Cooks PI, you can see Ramsey grab Cooks and pull him backwards. On Gronkowski's hit, it's helmet to helmet, clearly. I didn't see the Delay of Game one that closely, as my 2 year old was running around the house and someone had to keep track of him. It didn't seem that bad, though. On Myles Jacks fumble recovery, that one does suck for the Jags. Pretty quick play that I also assumed was over until seeing the replay. On not one call being against the Pats, well, that I can't argue.
  2. Untrained animals allowed on flights becoming an issue? Who could have forseen this?
  3. I agree, he probably should have. He wouldn't have been the first coach to neglect the position. Maybe he did ask for better prospects. I don't know. I don't follow the workings of the Steelers that closely. But this whole discussion is proving my point. Tomlin has had a HOF QB for his entire time and his production is the same as Cowher's. Tomlin is underachieving.
  4. Perhaps, but that doesn't really refute my point.
  5. I'd take Rice all day long. I like my receivers to not dog it on the field.
  6. At least your dog doesn't break down doors, Hooch-style, like mine does. I have to hide the garbage on top of my fridge and her food out in the garage. Anything that's left on a counter (which is NOT at eye-level) does not survive the day.
  7. Oh man, that reminds me of the time my mother took my plate and let the dog lick it. The problem was, I had used Dave's Insanity sauce that day. Her cage was not fun to clean out the next morning...
  8. Occasionally I do. Most of the time, though, they get their treat from when my son throws his food on the floor.
  9. They are valid points, but so is the fact that Tomlin has a HOF QB, arguably the best RB in the NFL, the best WR in the NFL and yet can't get it done year after year. Imagine if Belicheck had those guys at his disposal. And again, Cowher didn't have any QB to work with until Ben. Heck, John Harbaugh won a Super Bowl with less talent than what Tomlin has. I think Tomlin is an okay coach, but he is definitely under-achieving.
  10. Good lord, I would have even been tempted to take Rob Johnson over Kordell Stewart...
  11. You completely changed the argument. We aren't discussing if any of them were better than the Bills QBs of the past 20 years. But keep laughing, I suppose.
  12. O'Donnell was ok, but in a league that had Kelly, Aikman, Elway, Montana, Young, etc, he wasn't good enough. Same with Maddox. In what world was Stewart a good QB?
  13. Only change I would make is to make PI challengeable. Otherwise, the rule is fine as it is.
  14. I guess I don't see the purpose in a loss of down in addition to the 10 yards.
  15. Bill Cowher at least has the excuse that he never had a QB until Big Ben (reaching a Super Bowl with Neil O'Donnell). And then he won the Super Bowl once he got him.
  16. Looks to me (and I could be wrong) that it would depend on how the Titans finish 9-7. One of those losses would have to be against Jacksonville. That would tie us for conference record. Assuming we sweep the Dolphins, I think common opponents wouldn't apply, so it would go to strength of victory, which Buffalo currently holds the tie breaker. But, the Titans also face the Rams and Jaguars in their final two games, so that could change things (I really don't want to do the math on it).
  17. Technically, we are the 6th, but in reality, you would be correct. The tie breaker that Baltimore would have us on is common opponents, which apparently doesn't kick in until after there are 4 common opponents. Currently, there are only 3. When we play the Dolphins, the tie breaker will kick in and place the Ravens over us (assuming we remain tied)
  18. I bought an unlocked 32GB Moto G4 last year for $150. No complaints from me on the phone.
  19. The rules state that in the event of a lateral, even if the ball hits the ground, any player (offensive and defensive) can advance the ball. I think it's more considered a live ball then a fumble (like a ball that hasn't been touched on a kickoff).
  20. Section 7 Backward Pass and Fumble BACKWARD PASS Article 1 Backward Pass. A runner may throw a backward pass at any time (3-22-4). Players of either team may advance after catching a backward pass, or recovering a backward pass after it touches the ground. http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/rulebook/pdfs/11_Rule8_ForwardPass_BackPass_Fumble.pdf
  21. Are you thinking about Nathan Lane?
  22. I'm going to be THAT guy. 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.
  23. I'm agreeing with 98. That took me longer than it should have.
  24. That would be interesting. Go 15-1 and not get the bye in the playoffs. Well, if any team could do that, it would be the Bills.
