  1. My father-in-law loves to tell this story all the time. He was shopping with his wife when he "crop-dusted" this little old Italian lady. He knew immediately it was going to be bad (it was SBD), so he turned to his wife and said that they had to go right now. They left and got into their car. As they were pulling out, the Italian lady came out of the store screaming in Italian at them. He said he never laughed so hard in his entire life.
  2. Both.
  3. This would be me(bored, not confused). I love going to Amerks games (the few times a year I get to go), but I'm bored if I'm watching it on TV. Same with baseball for me. I'll watch golf on TV though. Probably has a lot to do with what I've played and can appreciate.
  4. This. Center lane for me otherwise.
  5. I won't go back to The Flamingo in Las Vegas if and when I ever return. My wife and I arrived late one night (flight got in around 12am) and we stood in line to check in. Line wasn't all that long, but I knew we'd have to wait a bit. Wait time was doubled as they had to take care of the "premium" members first, who keep showing up from time to time(which I get. Annoying, but I get it). After about an hour in line, we get up to the desk and the person starts to check us in. He then tells us that our room isn't ready and we'd have to wait 45 minutes while they get it ready. At which point, I'm incredulous of that fact as it's now 1am and technically, that room should have been ready by 4pm earlier. They tell us that we can go enjoy a meal at one of their restaurants on them. Problem is, most of the places are closed at this point and it's 1am. My wife and I aren't hungry. We just want to get to bed. So, I told them that it was an unacceptable arrangement. They agreed to put us in a different room for the night and we would be able to transfer to the booked room in the morning. In the morning, I go down to get us moved over only to have them tell us that they don't have the room we booked. Basically, I was told I was out of luck. Didn't work with me to get things fixed. So we won't go back there. Edit: Oh I forgot. When we finally got our keycard to the room the first night (nearly 1:30am), we go up and the cards do not work. Had to go back down and wait again, though nearly not as long as before.
  6. I feel bad for Aaron Hernandez the child. Aaron Hernandez the adult can rot.
  7. That's not on him. That's just the NFL protocol when someone hits their head like that.
  8. Again, the defense did not give up the lead to the Texans. Not choking. Allowing 13 points is not choking (It's actually called fantastic defense). Throwing a pick 6 on a potential game winning drive is choking. Throwing an interception on the ensuing drive is also choking.
  9. Not sure I would say holding a team to a field goal to TIE the game when they had first and goal at the 1 is choking...
  10. It doesn't happen enough for it to be considered a problem, in my opinion. I will say that there has been a small increase in the number of ties (it seems, anyways), but I'm sure that's due to the OT rules. When it was sudden death, I don't think I ever saw anyone complain about ties.
  11. That was my point. There probably is NFL potential, but as of right now, there are not 30+ players that could play on an NFL team.
  12. I've no doubt they are talented receivers and like I said, I don't watch college football, but are they (the sophomores/freshmen) as of right now, physically developed enough to handle a game against NFL players?
  13. Yes, but not every one of those players stick to an NFL roster. Just because they signed doesn't mean they made the cut. I'm betting the younger the player gets, the less likely it would be for them to make it on an NFL roster. Okay, with this statement is why I would find it hard to believe 30+ would be on an NFL roster. Maybe someday, but not now.
  14. I'll preface this by saying that I don't watch college football. With that said, I find the "30+ guys" a bit hard to believe. This past offseason, 12 Alabama players were drafted. 6 (I think) where signed as undrafted free agents.
  15. He's on the hot seat because once he gets into the playoffs, it's one and done. Every time. So he can't just have a good season. He has to win some playoff games for the seat to cool. Then again, it's Mike Brown who owns the Bengals.
  16. Mainly just in the car. Other than that, I have to watch myself around my 2 year old or I'm at work.
  17. On a different note, I have gone out of my way to find a manager to praise a server for doing a great job when they have to deal with a miserable customer.
  18. My father took me out one time to learn how to drive manual. The car died the very next day. That was the end of my training. No one else in my family had a manual for me to learn on.
  19. I've done it only a couple of times. Both times, we had excessive waiting times at the table, waitress basically only showed up to take order (other people brought food) and drop off check (never asked how anything was, if we wanted anything else, etc.) and had an attitude on them.
  20. I don't miss it, but then again, my parents still live there. It's a small house (<1000 sqft) and not well kept up. It was a roof over my head and I'm very appreciative of what my parents were able to do to raise my brother and I, but no, I don't particularly miss the house.
  21. Call centers suck. I got a letter from my utility company saying they were going to charge me $25 because they hadn't been able to come inside to read my gas meter (which was my fault. Letter said I could get by with calling in the reading. So I did. Fast forward a month, I get another letter saying that I failed to get the meter reading in so they put the charge on my account. So, I called them up and asked them what happened. At first, the lady tried telling me I didn't get the reading in on time. I asked her to provide the date of when I called it in (as I have the record that I called on my phone). She then said that they had no record of me calling in (again, on my phone). Wouldn't listen to me and told me I would still have to pay the charge. Well, that is until I asked for her supervisor.
  22. Has to do with the amount of proof the NFL deems sufficient. As a court would need proof beyond a reasonable doubt, the NFL just needs the proof to show that it more than likely happened.
  23. Yeah, I've heard the same thing about that it's only chest compressions. Funny story, my uncle was a cardiologist. I worked in his office for a brief period of time (helping clean up accounts) when he had someone come in to do a class on CPR for his employees. As they were asking questions, I was the only person in the office able to answer the questions correctly. I felt as though SOMEONE in a cardiology office probably should have had some idea on how to perform CPR.
  24. I'll just place this here. https://boston.cbslocal.com/2015/12/07/patriots-fans-boo-leave-early-during-eagles-game/
