  1. What I said was they were a QB and WR away from a divisional game. They lost the WC 10-3, courtesy of a lack of QB and WR play. Yes, they needed more work to be a serious SB contender, but they are much much further away from that now. The blame for that can be squarely laid at the feet of McDermott and Beane. Their decisions and missteps brought that about.
  2. Yet they were a QB and maybe a WR away from a divisional round playoff game just last season. Way to go, McBeane. Bravo!
  3. They deserve all the jeers that come their way, just as they deserved last years kudos. Most teams don’t achieve a playoff berth then proceed to make the team exponentially worse. They are so horrible on one side of the ball that they cannot compete with the average team in the league. They inherited something to build on, but decided to toss it away. Amazing that just a few seasons ago the team seemed aboyt a QB away from being good. Now, if their chosen QB is good, he might have some players around him on offense in about 2 or 3 more seasons. If Beane and co. nail the draft and free agency, that is.
  4. Don’t throw it. It’s just a stupid play, and an NFL QB should go elsewhere with the ball. Peterman is shook, plain and simple. He plays scared and isn’t an NFL caliber player.
  5. Nope. They would have just named him the starter after or during the preseason. Mahomes was considered raw and the Chiefs sat him for a year. The Bills botched this situation, plain and simple. Playing Allen was always going to be for better or worse once he was put into the starting lineup. Poor planning resulted in that happening much too early. At this point though, nothing else in this season matters except Allen gaining experience. He should start as soon as he’s cleared to do so.
  6. It is an opinion, as is the vast majority of what is posted on this board. Also, I said only that that a good QB would look decent. The line actually is better at pass pro than they are at run blocking. A QB such as Peterman invites pressure and DBs squatting on short stuff. Simply put , there is no fear of the passing game whatsoever . While the WRs are lacking, we see how good QBs put the ball where the WR is going , not where they already are. Even in tight coverage. It’s just a different level of QB play that the Bills do not have at the moment. The line is pretty crappy, but the problems really all come back to the inept QB more than anything else. Few NFL teams have elite OLs these days. Peterman wouldn’t be NFL caliber behind the best of O lines. Anderson is at least an established mediocrity in the past.
  7. Why on earth would a team draft a QB that is planned to suck , or sign a mediocre at best veteran only to trade him before the start of the season? Then on top of it, be forced to start a very raw prospect too soon because of it ? It seems more like sheer incompetence is at work here.
  8. Very old news. Yes, the OL is pretty bad. The QBs ( other than maybe raw rookie Josh Allen ) are putrid. A good QB could look decent behind this line. Not able to work miracles, but decent.
  9. Or he envisioned one of his patented INTs going 100yds for a TD.
  10. This^.That is the only bottom line that matters. The status quo not only isn’t winning, it’s become a punch line and a laughingstock.
  11. Interesting. I would actually fire Daboll then promote Robiskie to Offensive Coordinator.
  12. The Bills roster ( certainly compared to the current mess) was pretty good during the Marrone/ Ryan years with the glaring exception of the QB position. The roster as it stands is an absolute joke.
  13. 9 or 10 new starters, however they can be acquired A new QB coach with an impressive track record A new OL coach A new Offensive Coordinator
  14. You may be right, and at this point I can’t say I’d blame him. The franchise has become a complete laughingstock and the OL simply can’t block for his style. He’s never been a RB that puts his head down and slams into the line a la Ivory.
  15. They have for awhile now. Then the Refs step in...
  16. Completely bogus not a PF! This team gets every break in the book as if it’s scripted
  17. BS... should have been a holding call at most. Amazing they don’t call them on Pats* DBs
  18. I would have expected the Packers to line up and snap that quickly... kinda casual at the line there
  19. It’s not about Allen winning games, though that could happen. It’s really about him getting live game reps and experience reading defenses. His success is paramount and he needs all the reps he can get at this point so that 2019 isn’t a complete waste as well.
  20. Well, most of what is discussed on this board is not provable. This player should have been picked , that player wouldn’t have been good in Buffalo etc. We do know that good players are found throughout the draft by many teams. Save for a franchise QB that the Bills probably won’t be picking next year , the concern shouldn’t be so much about a slot or two of draft position. It should be on those doing the drafting. Lots of teams flounder even with years of high picks. This forum is far from a scientific exercise.
  21. Nice TD. Glad he caught it because 31 held him around the waist but of course no call. It’s absolutely mind boggling how reluctant officials are to call penalties against that team that areright in front of their face.
  22. Chung should have been called for PI. It’s amazing but the team that takes the most liberties with PI, pick plays etc is the least penalized in the league according to Al Michaels.
