  1. Went with the family a few years ago. It was outstanding
  2. It would be great to have a generational talent. No one can argue against that. The question is identifying in a draft class who that player is going to be.
  3. One simple answer: knee. He was playing hurt all year.
  4. Some here are saying that Beane did a poor job because he did not sign an elite level person at a position of need in free agency. A couple things. One, we didn’t have a ton of cap space. Two, this wasn’t a stellar year for those kinds of free agents, and many teams signed their own to keep some very talented players from entering the market.
  5. The best thing was negotiating to keep some of our young talent. I don’t think it was a particularly great FA year. I think Palmer will fit well. The guys we added to the D line should help but the suspensions are a black mark for Beane. Bosa will be the best FA add if he can stall healthy.
  6. People keep talking about using a mid round pick on a guy that’s fast and can get down field. We have a guy just like that already in Hamler. My guess is that they’ll draft a guy day 3, and we’ll all hope we get another Shakir. But I wouldn’t count on that moving the needle much.
  7. I would not mind seeing Gilmore back
  8. Love what Milano has done over the years. I suspect everyone here does. Time does catch up though, and Williams has shown enough to where he needs more playing time.
  9. This seems to be a rehash of posts this time last year. I don’t know how much more evidence is needed that the Brady offense is not predicated on whatever you want to call a #1 WR. The offense did quite well last year. I suspect Palmer is an upgrade over Cooper, and it is not unreasonable to think Coleman improves. Samuel looked better later in the year when he got healthier. And for those saying we need to draft a speed guy, we had one on the reserve squad all last year in Hamler. And Shavers they likely see as the replacement for Hollins.
  10. It’s not their focus right now. They were focused on free agency and restricted some contracts to get cap space. Branford’s on a rookie deal so that wasn’t the case for him. Then they focused on FA signings, and now the draft. While I think they’ll restructure, there’s really no urgency to do so. He’s under contract regardless.
  11. I wouldn’t mind Calais Campbell
  12. Saw a rumor Cooper may want to retire
  13. Assuming his concussion is not an ongoing issue, they’ll work out an extension sometime after the draft, maybe during the season. Beane wants to keep guys that produce.
  14. You were carping about depth. Try to keep focused.
  15. You want All Pros as depth. You don’t understand the concept.
  16. Again, who the hell cares?
  17. And what possible relevance does this have? This is just “if ifs and buts were candy and nuts” crap. We played our schedule and kicked ass. That’s how the league works.
  18. I think Beane has done a very good job, and I think most would agree. But this is a big error on his part. He should call a presser and own it.
  19. Beane needs to do a presser and face the music
  20. I imagine they like some CBs in the draft. And I think the coaches like Ingram more than we know
  21. I was thinking about the critique of small linebackers this morning, and Jack Lambert came to mind. Didn’t weigh more than 210 but one of the all time greats. Of course he had the Steel Curtain in front of him.
