I am happy with this move. There was not a big FA WR crop this year, and of what was available he ticks the boxes. And I did not think a guy like Metcalf was worth as much as some did; would rather have our draft picks.

It is not a mystery at all. The idea behind the offense was, and is, to spread the ball around. Not to focus on feeding one guy, like we did with Diggs. And it worked. Palmer fits in well. He can get separation which was somewhat of an issue for us at times. Can get down the field, and importantly can block.

To all this bitching and moaning, look at the crop of WRs that were available. Take out guys like Goodwin who didn’t want to leave their teams. Then look at what was available. Palmer was among the best for what was needed, a guy that can separate and get down field.

The first hour or two of free agency has historically been littered with teams way overpaying for guys that don’t live up to their contracts. You root for a team (at least I think you root for a team) that was one play away from going to the dance the last two years. You don’t just blow that up. I am sure Beane is busting his butt today, and has for the last couple weeks. But a lot of guys took less $$ to stay with their teams. There isn’t much that can be done about that.

A lot of guys are choosing to stay with their teams. I am sure Beane is talking with a lot of guys but it’s not like he can kidnap them.

The Browns said they would not trade him. So for anyone now that will blame Beane for not getting him, with all respect just shut it.

To the original point of the thread, he was hurt most of the season.

It would not completely surprise me if Milano is included in a trade for a guy like Garrett. Williams needs to see the field more.

I think they’ll bring Brown in at WR because Josh wants him and he’ll add speed outside. And I think Khalil Mack comes back to his college town.
