  1. It did not make it 0%. That is a lie.
  2. I have already said I would not have called the TO. This is the second time you refuse to answer the question so I’ll pose it again. Do you honestly believe we could have scored, stopped them for a 3 and out, then got in position to kick a FG all within time remaining? Do you honestly believe given how their offense dominated all night that would have happened?
  3. It did no such thing. You have a shot at the onside kick. Which given the way McVay toyed with our D all game was likely about the same odds as our stopping them from getting a first down. Thanks for not answering the question. It’s a habit of yours.
  4. Does anyone here honestly, truly believe what you’re saying? That somehow we score on the very first play from the one yard line? And that the Rams then somehow fail to convert a first down when they get the ball back? Despite their offense absolutely dominating the defense the entire game? And that then if that miracle occurs we somehow gain what we need in a short period of time, get the FG team on and kick a winner? How many people honestly believe that all would have happened? I don’t. I think it would have taken two downs to score. And there’s not the slightest doubt in my mind they close it out with a first down. Would I have taken the TO? No. But ultimately our chances were extraordinarily remote either way.
  5. Having only 9 was inexcusable but had no effect on the outcome
  6. Your math is correct, but in the context of this game I don’t think we had any chance of stopping them from getting a first down, time outs available or otherwise.
  7. That’s an interesting point. I suspect we get more pressure against Tua. Plus I think Stafford is way better than Tua and McVay is way better than McDaniel.
  8. Not that I am trying to drive McD out of town, but if you want a guy that has experience taking a team on the verge of winning over the top then hire Gruden. He and Josh would be an interesting pair.
  9. I give them a ton of credit. Their offense was great yesterday. And if I’m the D line coach I read our guys the riot act today.
  10. The only other thing Josh could have done was spike it on the 1st and goal play and/or audible out of the sneak if he didn’t like the play.
  11. I don’t ignore it. I think your 9% is flawed. There is no question in my mind they get the first down.
  12. McD talked about how they tried man for a bit but got hit with PI. Nakua is a stud who had a phenomenal game. What we needed was a pass rush.
  13. And would have gotten the first down because their passing game shredded us all day. Or they could have run the jet sweep that killed us all day. Any number of plays. If the decision in this particular game was between recovering an onside kick or stopping them from getting a first down, my money was on the inside kick. It was clear except for one series we had no clue how to deal with their offense. Should that TO been called? No. Did it ultimately matter? No. You want to get on coaching get on them staying most of the game with 4 guys rushing with zone coverage behind. They got killed all day in that defense. And the 4 down linemen did little, saw very few stunts, etc. Near as I can tell all our DEs do is rush straight into opposing tackles.
  14. You said McVay would have been conservative. Define conservative
  15. And that does not mean squat given what was going on in the game yesterday. We could not stop anything the Rams did on offense. McVay knew that. Everyone on the field knew that. I didn't say he throws the ball 3 times. Maybe he throws it first down and catches us off guard. You can throw out whatever historical numbers you want but the likelihood we stop them from getting a first down was miniscule at best.
  16. This is absolutely absurd.
  17. No it wasn't. You hope to get an onside kick. Do you honestly, truly believe that McVay would have just ran the ball 3 times knowing he needed one first down and knowing they killed us with Nakua all day long? Come on. The chances of winning were single digits no matter what. This game was lost because the D stunk the entire day.
  18. To think McVay would have played conservatively when he knew that: 1. one first down wins the game, and 2. they torched the Bills all day long in the passing game, is absurd in my opinion.
  19. Yes, I was calling for them to switch up defenses all day. But how about putting the blame on some players, particularly the D line that got blown off the ball all day long?
  20. They don’t block it they march down the field and score anyway. It was that type of game.
  21. The penalty takes them out of FG range. At the time we had no idea if McVay would kick the FG or not. It’s on the D to stop them and the D sucked all day long.
  22. I disagree but we'll never know.
  23. You take the penalty because it knocks them out of FG range if McVay was thinking about kicking. But the D wet the bed like they did all game. That's also why I don't have an issue deciding to call the TO and rely on an onside kick. The alternative was expecting your D to get a 3 and out which simply was not going to happen.
  24. Nope, being serious. I don't think there was any way we hold them to three and out. McVay would have known one first down wins the game; he would not have just ran the ball 3 times.
  25. I think we had a better chance of recovering an onside kick vs. trying to stop them
