  1. He did not hit him, he wrapped him up with both arms and tackled him. And you don't wait 5 minutes then throw a flag
  2. My dad was a ref. He taught me that reffing is a lot harder than you think. But even he would say this crew is awful if he was alive to watch this
  3. That is the most ridiculous call I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched football for 40 years.
  4. Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field!
  5. Like a baby
  6. I would prefer we get back to the original intent of the founders - have Congress convene a few weeks a year, decide what they need to decide, then go home to their normal work. Or at the very least term limits. The long time politicians in DC are way more interested in party politics and power than getting anything accomplished for their constituents.
  7. They do verify. You refuse to understand that.
  8. The defund the police stuff was stupid and cost Democrats seats in state governments and in DC.
  9. To the contrary I am sure the protests contributed, although I’d like to see here and after data in this cities to confirms. The issue I have with our SoCal friend is that he insists on trying to defend Trump by doing the “well, what about X or Y” defense. It does not matter what others did, it matters what he did . And encouraging rallies without masks especially in the White House was ridiculous
  10. I suggest you quit thinking in either/or ways. Trump’s rallies caused outbreaks where he had rallies - Tulsa or the White House for examples. California is likely due to Covid fatigue and improper in home meetings without masks. Your desire to defend Trump to the death blinds you to reality.
  11. Well, let's deal with the Seinfeld issue first. The Maestro episode was great, but the Master of Your Domain episode ranks first for me. Kramer slapping the cash on the table and screaming " I'm out!" was one of the great moments of TV. In social settings call me what you want. Call me Dr., call me Mr., you can call me Ray, you can call me Jay, you can call me RJ.... God knows I've been called a lot of things, and I don't get bent out of shape if you don't use the Dr. title. I don't think Jill Biden would either; at least her public persona strikes me that way. The only time I get upset by what I'm called is if a youngster tries to call me by my first name; I hate that. I expect young people to show me more respect than that. In the workplace whether seeing patients or teaching, then it should be used. And I usually call patients by their first name unless I'm meeting them for the first time, or if they ask to be referred to otherwise,
  12. I have a Ph.D. The doctoral degree is the highest academic degree that can be offered by a university. Jill Biden should be proud of that, and to refer to her as Dr. Biden is appropriate. I generally don't get caught up in it myself. Because I do clinical things it's entirely appropriate for patients to refer to me as Dr., and at the universities where I teach it I am referred to as Dr., which again is expected and appropriate. But if I'm talking to my kid's friends and they call me Mr., no big deal. To me the guy that wrote the editorial seemed kind of envious, and of course the "kiddo" reference was completely ridiculous and demeaning.
  13. Roosevelt’s nothing to fear quote was in his inauguration speech in 1933 and referred to the Depression. As you know Pearl Harbor was 1941. This is the problem one runs into when you try to absolve this President by talking about supposed failures of others. It doesn't matter what other presidents did for other situations. Trump gets evaluated on his own actions. And he deliberately lied about and refused to accept any responsibility. And thus rightfully lost re-election. Which of course for which he also lies about and refuses to accept responsibility. How again can this conduct be defended?
  14. You are unfortunately being deliberately obtuse. The science dudes as you put it said millions would did if no measures were talent to try and control the spread. And the measures the science dudes said initially were to quarantine to bend the curve and keep hospitals from being overrun, and to do things like distance and hand washing and wear masks. Thankfully enough people listened to the experts and not the guy in the White House saying not to wear masks; it kept the death rate down to “only” 300k. And don’t even try the “but Fauci said not to wear masks garbage( he said that early on when PPE needed to be in the hands of front line workers and before the research showed beneficial effects of masks to slow the spread. And as for Trump explains his Woodward comments? The ones where he claimed he didn’t want to panic people? Being honest and straightforward with the public in the midst of a crisis does not panic people, it gives them resolve. He lied, he can try to couch it any way he wants but he lied. And that is not acceptable. And now he’s gone. Good.
  15. You and the other gentleman refuse, absolutely refuse, to acknowledge that the president has the ultimate responsibility in a national crisis. Regardless of party, regardless of the nature of the event. That is their job. I cannot think of another president in the history of this country who said, when asked if he takes responsibility, said no. For a crisis that affects the entire nation. If something similar happens the next 4 years and Biden shirks responsibility you’ll hear the same from me. How you can defend the kind of nonsense our now official soon to be ex-president is beyond me and most clear thinking Americans. First I have no problem and never did opening things after the initial concern about hospitals being overrun. And that could have been done safely if the president actually supported the recommendations of distancing and masks. Instead he ridiculed masks and such and refused to act as a leader. And now 300,000 people are dead. I do give credit for Warp Speed; although Pfizer did not take government resources to develop theirs placing a priority of vaccine development was good. I get mine Sunday. I am stunned at the level of excuse making for a leader who did not want to lead.
  16. No excuse. At all. All presidents have a lot on their plate; that’s the job. And when prioritizing you should put a global pandemic near the top of the list, right? Instead he decided to lie to the American people as shown by the Woodward interview, and when asked what responsibility he had he said he took no responsibility. He abdicated his duties as president. Why do you try to defend that?
  17. One of your best in a series of great reviews, my friend. Could not agree more with everything you wrote.
  18. Very good analysis. The Steelers d (and the Bills D for that matter) played great in the first half. It was good to see the young QB not get down on himself, and for him and the coaches to make the necessary adjustments in the second half. I said a couple years ago that Josh had the same issue many if not all young QBs have, that the game has to slow down for the young QB to make the right reads and such. The game has slowed down considerably for Josh this year.
  19. Investigate and if he's found to have committed these acts then whatever appropriate punishment should be undertaken including his resignation. Sexual harassment is not a political issue, or at least shouldn't be.
  20. You don’t care about the country. I do.
  21. He has Congressmen threatening to try and uproot a free and fair election, all because his ego can’t take that he lost. That should concern any American citizen. Laugh if you want but I guess you don’t take freedom and the Constitution seriously.
  22. What the hell is Mahomes thinking?
