Why Do the Bills Need a New Stadium ??
4_kidd_4 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What about the gameday costs of County cops, OP Police, closing Abbott Road, staffing Police inside the stadium, having ambulances and their respective staffs at the ready? And the costs to Erie Co to operate the stadium? I’m gonna say I highly doubt the town or county come out ahead financially in this deal. -

Bills are good every 30 years, 1960s, 1990s...we’re due in the 2020s. -

B word about the guy ruining your time then you smear poop on the section? What about that kid who’s view was being obstructed? Now he’s got yr $hit all over the seat in front of him instead? Oh but I put it in a s hit envelope so it’s totally ok guys! Trust me, I know how to s hit in my hand and carry it around for revenge the normal way! -
Used to manage my tix thru it, but that’s thru a ticketmaster site now. So, nah, I skip the company line fluff pieces altogether.

DEVO is right! I mean seriously, sink-pissing is one thing, but hand-pooping is just...I don’t even know. -

You basically pooped on a guy at the stadium? Like, carried poop around to prove a point? Yikes. Biological warfare is some next level stuff. -

McDermott channeling the wise teaching of MC Hammer

Fair point re: charts, but just because something is mass consumed doesn’t automatically make it quality. That’s the ‘pop’ aspect, imo. Were they really good rap songs or were they safe enough songs to be mass consumed by suburbia? There’s a reason Beasties and RUN DMC are legendary, they paid their dues and were innovative, THEN got wildly popular. Hammer was prepackaged and calculated. Again, can’t take away his success on the charts, but I for one cannot remember another song off that record besides ‘U Can’t Touch This’. -

This is a good point, they were both amongst the first wave of, for lack of a better term, “pre-fab” rappers looking to cash in on a sound. And yes, credit to them in regards to record sales and their timing, but that’s what pop music backed by huge labels will do. -

Nah, RUN DMC and Beastie Boys, amongst others, already did it way before his candy-pop crap showed up. Credit Rick Rubin for putting hard rock guitars over hip hop beats, brilliant move to attract the white suburban demographic. RUN DMC ‘Raising Hell’ went triple platinum in 1986, was the true game changer, IMO. -

It’s not mooching if people are offering. Plenty of us STH are more than willing to give them away. Would rather give someone a chance to enjoy than making a whole $5 apiece online. Anyways, I have 4 now, but i’m waiting to hear back from fam. If no takers I will post back in here. -

Ever done a Bills game solo?
4_kidd_4 replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ve rolled solo to a game, late season Jets cabbage game and no one else in my crew wanted to go. I have a silly home game streak that I like to keep intact. Home opener will be 101 in a row! Anyhap, drove up solo, met some fellas in the lot for a burger and a beer, went into the game and kinda roamed around the stadium checking out different views. I was way up in the corner and CJ Spiller broke a 70 yarder to score, it was a cool perspective on the play way up there. -

Solo DLR blows Van Hagar away, no question. Still have ‘Eat Em And Smile’ on cassette. “Gimme a bottle of anything...and a glazed donut. TO GO.” Fun fact, in 7th grade my friend and I dressed as the Parcheesi Brothers from that video for halloween, the smarmy record co guys with the silver hair. Great 80’s supergroup w DLR, Sheehan and Steve Vai, Greg Bisonette on the skins. Ted Templeman at his finest!
