  1. What’s too bad is that there will always be a crowd that feels this is just an over reaction. You can choose to see what’s happening around you and be part of the solution, or you can claim strict over reaction. One way is certainly easier than the other. Seems like you’ve chosen.
  2. i'm on my way now. i'm going to rub my junk over everything.
  3. i'm sure you're fine, but i was making a drastic point.
  4. as mentioned, the issue is people have no idea if they have it and may be traveling. you may even be more likely to have it than me after traveling back and forth from myrtle beach. look at the numbers. infected go from very few to skyrocketing after a few weeks. i just found out that a family member of an employee is being tested for it right now. why? she was traveling 2 weeks ago on a cruise and now isn't feeling great. no covid symptoms, but it's enough to test her.
  5. i think part of the mild response to hockey here is geography. in rochester, there's a huge base of kids that play and fans. i can't imagine it's the same down south and mid west. i think fewer people are exposed to it or play in comparison to canadians. with the virus, it's not necessarily about you getting sick, it's about getting others sick. people are going to have to take a new philosophy on consideration for others, and not just what's the best for them. not that you should stop living your life, but people need to see the big picture. maybe you'll be ok by may, probably not.
  6. and i just found out that a family member of an employee is being tested as we speak. mostly because of where they were travel wise, but yeah.
  7. you still seem so shocked when people don't have the same opinion as you for some reason. americans enjoy hockey, but it's low on the list. it's 4th out the major sports for many reasons. maybe americans need more than just hits and fights to be entertained. oh my. you don't understand what's going on at all right now. you may not be able to go to cedar point whether you want to or not.
  8. this may be worse that the virus.
  9. out of total curiosity, do you still not agree with the move? i'm not trying to criticize, but rather wondering if the last few hours have changed people's opinions.
  10. i'm with ya. there's no reason not to take it seriously at this point. we don't need public panic, but everyone needs to be aware medical, social and economic impact this thing is going to have. my biggest hope is that people stop being so concerned about the individual and we all work together to manage this.
  11. i can't do implants and veneers on skype, that's for sure. i'm legit concerned here. 80 yr old parents. i have employees to look out for, payroll to meet, a new building mortgage. there's no way this virus doesn't stagger me a bit. i'm being selfish knowing that medically my family will be ok...i'm just worried about everything else. i think a lot of that is due to this having such a political slant to it. my father in law is a hard core fox news guy. we know if he's been at our house because it's literally always on tv. two days ago he was telling my wife this was a nothing. i think he's now changed his tune. i'm not making a comment to any political affiliation leaning one way or another, but i have seen it personally on some level. i think that's good. my brother works downtown at m and t, and he's waiting to see what happens. both my kids are in doodlebugs daycare, so we're waiting to see if that closes too. then we have to figure out care.
  12. anyone who thinks this isn't a big deal at this point either doesn't understand what's happening or refuses to even try to understand what's happening. I have a feeling things are going to change for me drastically over the next two weeks.
  13. Oh my. And I though some of your football posts were troubling.
  14. i've been hearing this could be the case for days, and now the call is made. i agree with these moves.
  15. i'd rather sleep with royal than eat those things.
  16. i can just feel the fat in this thread.
  17. that's what scratch off tickets are for.
  18. that is an outstanding catch!
  19. i'll always lean towards a zweigles because of the local connection, and the fact that i once staffed them with temp employees. there was a restaurant outside of the area that the toronto maple leafs play in, (i think it was called one) that had a "gourmet" hot god on the menu. i never tried it, but it was shocking how many people ordered a > $20 hot dog.
