  1. Run defense looks good so far.
  2. I don’t know if it’s nerves or the offense is just out of sync or what, but Allen needs to settle in here. Not a great start but I’m not panicking by any means.
  3. Yeah. Carter isn’t playing tonight (injury? Not sure) so it’ll be Bojo the whole game.
  4. We need a new *&$#&&* punter!
  5. ?? https://sports.yahoo.com/sabres-dahlin-tells-ap-hes-better-prepared-2nd-220705978--nhl.html Good stuff @john wawrow
  6. I like this quote by Barkley - And this one by Dion - One more from Beasley - The quote from Jerry Hughes is great, too. I’d post it but it’s super long and I already posted 3 quotes (maybe someone else can post it?). His quote is similar to Dion’s. He basically lists the whole team and says everyone as a whole has stood out. Everyone is balling and putting the work in. Says Beane + the scouts did an excellent job bringing in talent. Hughes has really seemed to step up and embrace a leadership role this year. Darryl Johnson lists Hughes as the guy who’s helped him most.
  7. Hope he is ok and it’s nothing serious. If it is is something serious, at least he has access to the very best medical care.
  8. That a Heck of a payday after only playing 22 games in the NFL. But he is a great player. It makes that Mosley deal look even worse! I am Glad that, so far, the Mosley deal didn’t reset the LB market at least. I’d take Jaylon Smith over Mosley any day, and that’s before you factor in that Smith is at a $12.6M cap hit vs. Mosley at $17M. Crazy.
  9. I also get the impression that the holdup at this point is all the big name RFA’s that remain unsigned (like Connor and Laine in Winnipeg, a team that desperately needs RH defenseman).
  10. Thanks for sharing. Here is the full article in sports illustrated - https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/08/20/cleveland-browns-odell-beckham-jr-jarvis-landry-baker-mayfield-john-dorsey-freddie-kitchens
  11. I think it has more to do with their pre-draft analysis of Allen. Article after article was written saying that he would never be a good NFL QB. That nobody with his college stats has ever made it in the NFL and if he did make it he would be the biggest statistical outlier of all times (or something along those lines, I can’t remember exactly). Some said he’d be a great test for old school scouting vs. new school analytics (etc). So they aren’t going down without a fight (and to be fair, Allen still has plenty to prove)
  12. Interview with Ralph Krueger - https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/news/krueger-still-listening-fans and Jason botterill - https://wgr550.radio.com/media/audio-channel/08-17-jason-botterill
  13. Bummer it didn’t work out, but we have some healthy CB’s playing their ass off. I’d rather keep one of the young guys at this point. Hopefully with him being released early early it’ll give him a chance to catch on somewhere else (if he gets/stays healthy).
  14. Yeah the 2nd episode was WAY better. After that 1st episode I was worried this season of hard knocks was going to suck.
  15. I agree with this article. I think McDermott’s job is pretty damn secure. The Pegulas seem to love him and he seems widely respected by most for the work he’s doing in Buffalo. I hope they do keep him around for a while. Like Art Rooney said, “hire the smartest guy in the room and give him the time and resources to figure it out”. IMO McDermott is the type of coach that is worth giving the time and resources to figure things out.
  16. Hey... without Rex we probably wouldn’t have McDermott and Beane running things right now. So I am grateful to him for that. lol
  17. I was just coming to post this. I am pleasantly surprised by these jerseys.
  18. Rivera praising Bob Babich and Edmunds - (Edmunds quote we’re already posted, so I’ll just post this part -) https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/news/tremaine-edmunds-made-quite-impression-panthers-coach-ron-rivera I have heard/read numerous times that Bob Babich Sr. is one of the most respected LB coaches in the NFL. Heard he’s supposed to be one of the best, too. McDermott has really done a good job IMO of putting together a top notch staff.
